As a high-volume e-commerce seller (eBay/Poshmark/Mercari) for over 5 years, I have dealt with every possible shipping headache at this location. My route has historically been one of the most inconsistent, leading to years of missed pickups and constant reporting. However, things have completely turned around thanks to a supervisor named Fahim. After years of managers promising help and then disappearing, Fahim has been a man of his word. He is 'less talk, more action' and has ensured my business pickups occur daily for over a month--a new record for this area. On the rare occasion of a scheduling hiccup, his responsiveness and commitment to actually solving the problem is unlike anything I've seen in the postal service. If you are a local business owner or frequent shipper at the T W House station, know that there is finally someone in management who genuinely cares about service standards. Horrible post office. I'm here now at 3pm and there is a sign that says out to lunch. The place closes at 5pm... Hmmmm The people that work here are rude and don't care. It's not a surprise, even our postal carriers don't deliver our mail correctly. We did it get half the Christmas area that were sent to us and I never received my nephew's graduation announcement. There are 23 people in line, but only one clerk working the counter. It's 4:00 PM on April 14. Lots of folks don't want to be in this line tomorrow, but.... UPDATE: A 2nd clerk showed up and the line flew! Both clerks were extremely helpful. The man who helped me took extra care to ensure that I knew where my tracking numbers were, and that I would receive proof of receipt from the recipient of my letter. I could hear how the other clerk was supporting customers at her window and it was equally above and beyond the typical level of service. So, staffing levels here kind of sucks, but the clerks themselves are awesome! I am revising my review (if Yelp will let me) to average the one star I initially gave and the five stars I would give for service. read more

I was told by another post office to file a 360 complaint so it goes straight to the head manager of the district. This is by far the worst post office I have ever experienced, lost packages to my home constantly, I don't get mail even though I get emails with photos of the mail coming to me from "informed" delivery. Cashier girl "I forgot her name, so sad" (she had braids)provided the exceptional service, was extremely helpful and kind to me and any other person who needed shipment services. This is review is for Jentree specifically. I have not had the best experiences trying to pick up my packages at this location. I have had a handful of packages go missing and I've never been successful in retrieving them until Jentree. She was so helpful today and in my opinion went above and beyond trying to locate my package as well as the 2 people who were ahead of me in the line. She was so polite with the customers as well as her associate that she contacted trying to locate my package. Only a few hours later she called me to let me know she had my package and would stick around to allow me to pick it up. The name of USPS TW House staffer Charletta Jones has been removed for stylistic reasons. ____ I haven't had normal mail delivery via USPS since I left Binghamton, New York on April 30, 2021 despite sending regular/monthly complaints via USPS.com since summer of 2021, talking to several USPS staff in New York state and in Houston, and even yelping....Changing mailing addresses to the 77007 zip code in October 2022 hasn't helped. ....Most recently, two different packages addressed to my two mailing addresses by [a nonprofit organization called] Buy From A Black Woman never got to me [including the free duplicate package they mailed to my personal mailbox in the 77007 zip code which had to go through TW House after I reached out to Buy From A Black Woman to confirm where they sent the first package and to share the 1-star yelp I wrote about Dunlop Station because they were the post office responsible for delivering the first package I paid for]; so I had to submit two cases of theft over the weekend..... After a lifetime of normal mail delivery and several in-state and out-of-state COAs, I'm disgusted. My Plan C is to get a mailing address in [North-to-East Texas where my family was] freed as slaves so I can claim ancestral lineage to get my effing mail. Put our wedding invitations in the locked mailbox in front of the post office because we both work fulltime, and it's difficult to get to the post office when it's actually open. It's been 3 weeks and none of them have made it to our guests. We opened an inquiry. They were very hard to reach by phone, so we had to go in multiple times in person in the middle of the work week to talk to them. They had no explanation and told us the box was probably broken into. They told us they have had multiple break-ins and that the box used to be taped off so no one could use it. Told us we shouldn't have put anything in the box and made us feel like it was our fault. There was NO indication that this box was not safe to use (no tape, no sign). Also not completely convinced that they didn't just lose our mail because the box doesn't look like it's damaged in any way. Regardless, none of our guests received invitations to our wedding which is now next month and I wasted a lot of money and time due to the negligence of this post office. I totally hate this place. You have people sitting behind the counter eating in customers faces while they're taking their mail. I think this is one of the most trifling sorry post office that you can ever go to. They slow they don't like doing their work. You have three counters and why is only one always open you go to the gate to ring the bell. I have been having a huge issue with packages being saying they were delivered on Sunday to my business and I was getting zero help from USPS.com or anyone for months or the post office. I should have read the warnings. On this date 12/15 many people waiting in line at 1:30 in the afternoon. The clerk announced he had to leave and left the counter. A supervisor came out and said they can't service us. I can't believe they all just left and had approximately 14 people in line. I understand things happen, but why would they not have the supervisors work the front. Several decided to wait but they do not have a time to re-open or have someone cover the counter. I see two supervisors working in the back including the one who came out and made the announcement. If there was a zero rating I would rate that and if you can avoid this post office please do so and read the other warnings before using or proceeding to this location. read more

I would not recommend this post office. It's very slow and they lose stuff all the time. Get ready for a 30min - 1 hour wait. The postman / women are even worse. I have seen these people throw packages, deliver packages to wrong address on purpose and even leave your packages on top of group mail boxes. (Referencing the cottage grove delivery person). They are so bad I have advise the person (African Female) delivering mail the correct address is person and they just ignore me and put it at a random house. This is a paste of what I just submitted online to USPS re: TW House. ***After my complaints in the past, postal carrier continues to leave packages at front door in plain view from street instead of placing behind either of the brick cubbies right there on either side of our door. Our neighborhood has package thieves and USPS carriers aren't helping the situation. Many residents have brick planters or other things on porch where packages can be placed just as easily and hidden from street view. I've even put a big sign on doorstep when I know something is coming and carrier placed package on top of bright neon orange sign saying "USPS: Please place packages behind brick cubby on either side of door. Thank you". This been a continuing and frustrating problem since our long-time carrier retired several years ago. Yesterday's package wasn't even placed at door but at entry to porch, making it even more visible and the doorbell wasn't rang. Fortunately I was home and saw the delivery being made but wasn't able to go outside quickly enough to speak with carrier. This is careless and helping to enable thieves. read more

After you have putzed around with the national office at L'Enfant Plaza and your local street station that actually lost your gatdang package (which then lied about 'how it was delivered') this is the next stop on your Highway to Hell dealing with Consumer Affairs. After more than a week of me having to call everyone multiple times per day to get absolutely nowhere, finally Consumer Affairs at this location called me to discuss the sitch we were having. Their outcome? They "don't know what happened" and offered to send me a letter stating that the package was lost "for some reason" and I was boned since there was no insurance on the package. Adding insult to injury, the letter never arrived at my home. Consumer Affairs either never sent me the letter, or the postman threw that in Buffalo Bayou along with my package and all my other mail. read more

I am posting this review solely to help others If your residential address is somehow listed as a business address in usps registry, there is no way you can forward mail to a new address. This reason behind this is because the post office is trying to prevent disgruntled employees from stealing clients or information from their previous businesses. Even if you go in to talk to the post office in person, there is NO way they can help you. Disregard what the 1-800 number usps people tell you. It will not work. Your best bet is to contact each sender individually and change your address through their systems. read more

I received an email advising that a package had been delivered. I didn't see it, so I reviewed the cameras. The home cameras showed no package delivery. I went to the post office and was told to wait until the clerk could speak with the delivery/mailman, who happened to be in the back. I waited, and waited...finally, the clerk stated that there had been a mistake and the package was likely in the mailman's "bin". She said she tried to go through it, but it must have been at the bottom, and to look for it to be delivered later that day. I went to the house, and it didn't come. Same as everyone else... I'm out a few hundred $$$ as they did not deliver 3 packages but indicate that they were "delivered". They also failed to deliver my new EZTag letter which showed up in my "Informed Delivery" email a week ago. As far as the missing packages are concerned, my security cameras didn't pick up any postman delivery on the supposed day of delivery despite the carrier claiming that she delivered the packages at my garage door. The cameras did, however, pickup the FedEx guy who delivered an Amazon package which was there when I got home. Unfortunately, none of our complaining will help make things better. The USPS is immune to rebuke and thus its employees will continue to offer this poor quality of service. Ultimately we have to accept that we need to pay to get a higher quality of service which, of course, means that we will have to use UPS and FedEx. Alternatively, anything you have shipped via the USPS should be via a retailer--such as Amazon--that has a very generous policy regarding packages that are not received. Then Amazon can compile the information about the least-reliable USPS locations and prioritize using their own delivery services to avoid the losses incurred by the incompetent USPS. read more

Pickup requests for your mail will be ignored by this facility. To add salt to the wound, you will also receive an email that your pickup requests have been completed. This has happened multiple times every month. I'm not sure if this is done to clear their daily tasks or to fake their performance numbers but it's fraudulent. If you need a package (or multiple packages that need picking up), scheduling an online pickup request will be useless. You'll need to drop the packages off yourself. In my case, make three trips to drop off everything. read more

Looks like I'm joining the ranks of many with my utterly terrible experience with this post office and its staff. I was scheduled to receive a package today, 3/16/17, and it was imperative that I actually received it today. Therefore, the sender paid $41.34 for Priority Mail Express and required no signature so the package would be left. Additionally, the sender sent it to my work because someone is always here between 9am and 5pm. I waited all morning until I tracked it again at 1:00pm and received the following notice: Notice Left (No Authorized Recipient Available). The notice was a complete lie because I have been present and available at my office ALL day. The delivery "worker" made ZERO effort to reach anyone or deliver the package to my offices' entrance. I can't help but feel the letter carrier realized how important my receiving the package was considering it was Priority Mail Express, yet that didn't seem to matter to him/her. Perhaps, if this letter carrier remains employed (as I am quite confident he/she will) the $41.34 is cost my sender spent should come out of the letter carrier's paycheck. After getting the notice, I immediately went to the post office to address my concern; however, I was treated worse than I have ever been treated by a so-called "professional" in all my life. The woman working the desk motioned me to come up but never even looked up from the stack of envelopes she was continually re-stacking. She looked at my notice and said "Today's the 16th!" looking at me as though I was stupid. I said "Yes I realize that, but it is imperative I get this package today and the delivery person did not try to contact anyone at the address." She then tells me the trucks won't be back in until 6:00pm. I asked if I could come pick up my package then and she said I could. I even asked twice to clarify since I couldn't even get her to look at me and both times she said I could. As I was leaving, I checked the hours posted on the door which read 9:00am to 5:00pm. I desperately need this package today, so I will go back at 6:00pm though I HIGHLY doubt there will be anyone there. I realize USPS is a government agency and not part of the private sector, thus they are held to no customer service standards, yet this type of "underachieving" work ethic is less than what you would expect from someone forced to pick up trash on the side of the road. And judging by the rest of these reviews, it's not just me. This place has a truly deplorable staff. I only hope one day the employment of these individuals will rely on their performance. read more

Since moving to the TW House Post Office, our mail service has been awful. I have not had mail pick up or delivery for 3 of the last 4 days. When I do get delivery, I get other people's mail. I find mail in neighbors yards that has been dropped. I get my Entertainment Weekly only once a month. I currently have three packages that are missing, one saying it has all ready been delivered (untrue) and 2 that have been out for delivery for 5 days. It took me some time to figure out an issue resolution process, so I wanted to document it for others. I tried going in person, but nothing gets written down and it takes forever. If I could give this post office ZERO stars I would. They are the laziest people, rude, they look like they just rolled out of bed and didn't shower, incompetent, and to make matters worse they can't even deliver my mail correctly! I get mail for my neighbor ALL the time. And I'm not just talking one or two here and there...I'm talking 3 to 4 envelopes at a time!!! (I'm guessing all his mail for the day). I also get mail to an address who has the same number as me but a completely different street. I mean really, I've seen the postman as he's delivering the mail in the slots and he looks through each piece before he puts it in the corresponding slot...He is obviously supposed to make sure the correct mail is going to the correct person/address/slot. This post office is a disaster! We regularly don't get our mail at all. Packages are frequently marked "delivered" then never delivered. I've filed complaints online repeatedly and they've done nothing to fix the issue. I finally got someone on the phone today. They were supposed to call me back in 15 minutes. It's been 5 hours. This post office is trash. Having a P.O. Box here is pointless because they lose your mail and packages or the packages are delivered to other P.O. Boxes- that's the only consistency here. There's a couple good people who work behind the counter, but every package I've mailed from here is destroyed by the time it reaches its destination. read more

Pleasantly surprised at this location. I came in at my lunch break on a Thursday and was in and out in less than two minutes sending a certified letter. The people were very nice and helpful. This post office is the worst. I've been dealing with them for over 20 years for our business. Our letter carrier is GREAT, but he has a lot of seniority and frequently is off. The replacements don't have a clue. We have had very serious problems over the years including not returning certified mail that has a 30 day return time, we get them back months later. Recently they scanned a package and the information says it was delivered on a Saturday. We are closed on Saturday. After repeated calls and no return calls all we can assume is either the package is lost or stolen or sitting somewhere inside the PO and they don't plan on redelivering it. I hate dealing with them. If you get a live person, their attitude is that you are putting them out by asking them to track your package or they put you on hold permanently. The worst! Follow up: Went to the facility to find out what happened to the missing package of medications. Found out that the carrier scanned the package and left it outside the burglar bars at our closed business on a Saturday, in a high foot traffic area of Houston just off Washington St. Needless to say, it was stolen. Thank goodness the company I ordered them from is reshipping via FedEx, they are great! What idiot leaves a package of medication on a busy street on a weekend? How hard would it have been to note that we were closed and take it back to be redelivered on Monday. read more
