Usually when I go to the post office, I have to lower my expectations. We all know that it will be a long line and government worker attitude at some level. That was not the case during my recent visit. There was a line, but instead of one employee manning the front counter that can handle 4 attendants, they had 3 employees working, with 4th person doing clean up of the people that queued up. She asked customers certain questions to ascertain what they needed and speed up the process. She was a little gruff and to the point in her way of dealing with things, but she did have a soft spot of asking people how their day was going. With Covid, the line may seem long with social distancing, but I like the fact they understand people shouldn't be waiting in line for any longer than they need to be. When it was my turn, the guy was really nice (which I was already observing that with other customers) and got me done quickly. He seemed very experienced because he could anticipate what I needed to do from my initial approach to the counter to using the credit card system. Well done USPS. I think your manager and team needs to show other locations how to do it. read more

Made an appointment at this location to renewal my kid's passport. My appointment time came and went. Why do they require you to make an appointment when they don't go by their own schedule. Additionally, one of the workers replied with "there's no set time" when I asked about the status of our appointment. Employees are rude, uncaring and most disappointing, unprofessional. This place deserves to be shut down or have the people retrained, properly! I will never come back to this location for any dealings. read more

Called to report a package missing that my regular carrier picked up, placed on hold for 20 minutes after the woman who answered said "just a moment." I then called from a different phone and no one ever picked up, after ringing for 5 minutes, the call just ended. This location puts phones on hold and never answers calls. read more

I was expecting a box, I ask my friend for the tracking # it saw delayed and it was on the way to Dallas. I looked at the history it was out for delivery on sept 28 and then gone! Why? I was not notified I had a package? They usually leave a sticker or tried to deliver another time. I went to the post office but no one can figure out why. If I could give negative starts I would. The staff is straight up rude. I've had to come back the past 2 days to renew my passport. The first day for whatever reason they couldn't accept my small birth certificate, and whenever I gave it to the man behind the counter he straight up laughed in my face. The second day I was there I forgot my ID(which I know is needed) and the lady rolled her eyes at me, talked to me like I was stupid and told me there's no reason why I shouldn't have my passport like I was her kid or something. They make you make an appointment for your passport yet they are never on time with the appointment. They say you'll be there 15 mins max, and I was in there for at least 30 mins. I will NEVER be coming here again. I don't understand why this place hasn't been shut down, considering all the bad reviews and horrible staff. Do better. read more

The worst post office I ever used. All of the employees have a don't give a damn attitude. I waited in line for 45 mins, then told I need to go to the side door, & ring a bell. Asked why no signage was posted to state this, no answer, & a dirty look. Ring bell, wait, then more attitude, & wait another 30 mins. Lived in 77080 for 3 yrs. & it became routine that my packages (large & small) might be in the apt. office, mailbox, or at the post office. Usually took 3 days after vendor told me packages were delivered, to find my packages. Go in after 2pm, to not waste your whole day. The words, supervisor or investigation will get your mail eventually. read more

Service is usually fast and friendly for me here. Visited at noon on a Tuesday and was able to get in and out quickly. Requested a supply of mailing forms for my office which the counter attendant provided with no issue. If it hadn't been for the cute little girl and her ear piercing blood curdling nauseating screams that her mother has apparently leaned to ignore (though in my opinion you'd have to be dead or in a coma to not be bothered by it) my visit would have been perfect. read more

As far as post offices go, this isn't the worst one I've ever been to. Are they clear about their hours? No. Are the various methods of shipping easy to understand? No. Is there sometimes a very long, slow moving line? Ohhh yes. However there is usually one lady there who is friendly and helpful - she's the only one that makes this location tolerable to me. New update. They are even worse than before. The "manager" ( and I use that term loosely) Amanda has about the same work ethic as most of our politicians. All excuses, no results, and resorts to eye rolling and playing the "victim card" when she doesn't get her way. Nancy follows suit, with being totally incompetent while on the phone and constantly putting you on hold. She will then hang up and then 'forget' to call you back. If you expect any of these fearless warriors to come through and deliver your mail correctly, my advice is to pack a lunch and pitch a tent. You'll be waiting awhile. And don't worry. Your package still won't arrive but at least you're fed and have shelter at the end of it all. I'm confident Barnum and Bailey sent their former clowns to work here as these workers are the epitome of a circus act. I'd rather call on the Pony Express to deliver than these lemmings read more

This location has RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I went inside and stood there waiting for a good 10 minutes with other customers just standing there waiting. The station for all the flat rate boxes, was out. The staff didn't want to refill the station. So then when they finally decided to help me, I asked for the flat rate medium box. The lady didn't want to refill it. She then told her coworker to give her one. He proceeds to say that there's a bunch in the back. And yet she dares turn around and tell me that they didn't have anymore and just get the next biggest box. Like how hard is it to go get another box?? And this isn't just s one time thing. Worst USPS ever, and that's saying a lot since USPS doesn't really have much of a reputation. Passport appointment at 1 pm, reached at 12:50 pm, employee responsible had just "gone on break" knowing that he/she had an appointment coming up soon. Complained to supervisor twice, 45 mins later, another employee was made to do the passport application. If anyone could do it, what were they waiting for? Poorly run, really poor respect for customer time. Complaints are normally negative biased, but you see why the average review here is 1.6 stars with more than 200 reviews. How many stars would you give if your lunch hour was completely ruined by some inept morons and you also lost 45 mins of work time? This is by far the most awful experience I've ever had at any US post office!!! The lady who "helped" me not only had a very unprofessional appearance with her black outlined lips and hot pink lipstick. Was rude and NOT helpful at all! She rolled her eyes and basically brushed me off. She refused to help with a simple service request to replace my mailbox key. Whoever the mail carrier is for Carousel lane lately is the worst mail carrier I've ever dealt with. The carrier skips our dead end street whenever they don't feel like dealing with it. My packages never come in on the day they are out for delivery, I get my other mail but the tracking will say some bs like "no access" or "no secure place to leave package", usually when it's just a small envelope package. Whenever it's a large package they leave it right on top of my mail box by the street. If you call their number, MAYBE and angry employee will answer and immediately put you on hold with an attitude, then hang up on you if you call back. Don't worry, since you hate your job so much you won't have it very much longer, everything is being documented and sent to Ted Poe's office. read more

One of the postal workers delivered my package to the wrong box , I went there and explained to the manager the situation and she even had a post worker go to the mailbox and get it out the right box after they were closed !! Had an appointment for passports for my 2 daughters. Was there on time but was told 'the lady was running late and it would be good to wait in my car'. I asked how long and was told 30 minutes but not sure. I went home and came back at 4 to let them know that I had to reschedule due to one of my daughters schedule. Didn't matter the passport lady was still not there. I asked if I can get the passport phone number to reschedule. I came to the conclusion the postal service CANNOT multi task. The lady was rude and never once apologized for MY inconvenience. My husband and I took off work early to get this done. And when did SWEATPANTS become the dress code for the postal service??? My Father, who was a postal carrier for 33 years, is rolling in his grave on the bad attitudes and lack of professionalism that exists today in the postal service. read more

Awful. The other one star reviews which is most of the reviews, describe every problem I have had here perfectly. My mailman refuses to deliver mail on my street because they are doing construction, and the post office tells me my mail is not there that the mailman took it out but the mailman said the mail is at the post office. They told me I was at the right post office. I have two credit cards and a nice wallet in the mail that I am sure I will never see. I can't believe nobody is doing anything about this USPS location. This PO saved my trip. I had to travel in a time crunch and needed my sons passport, and all the PO in my area required appointments. The US Department of State website (and personnel) suggested I come here because they don't require appointments. Wrong, they do. The person behind the blue door informed me the department of state had outdated info. I was on the verge of tears, so she told me to go inside and ask if they would do it. I am consistently having mail not arrive to my house. My son's birthday card was ripped open and the $20 that his great- grandma send was gone (she put the card in a mailbox at her post office). His grandma send a card that never arrived. A friend sent me a check that never arrived. A friend whose mail goes through the Emnora station is also having opened mail with missing checks or cash and completely missing mail. Service from and at this mail station has been abysmal for several years, yet nothing has been done about it. It got so bad, our U.S. congressman set up a live meeting with a representative from this station. The meeting was cancelled because the station rep had a "family emergency." To my knowledge, it has never been reset. At the station, the parcel drop is sealed shut, so you have to use counter service, which is always slow and quite unfriendly. I get so upset that my packages gets sent to the wrong address. It's like I have to pray to get my things. I've had honest people personally delivering my mail to me telling me it got sent to there house. The funny part is their address and my address is not similar one bit. This place isn't an eBay friendly place especially if you like to drop packages off quickly! Being an eBay seller, I frequent different post offices all over town. I came here this morning on my way to work to drop off 5 packages, and their parcel drop box is bolted shut. WTF!?! Any other post office I'm in and out in less than 30 seconds because of the parcel drop box, but nope I had to take all 5 packages back to the car. The reason the drop box is helpful to people like me is because, I often visit between 5-7am during my route to work. When things are fine the workers are no problem. However, I tried shipping cologne overseas, I answered all of the customs questions and answered them honestly, I told the lady exactly what I was shipping and she said it'd be no problem, only for me to get it returned to me weeks later bc it violated customs. When I tried to explain to the post office what happened they made it seem like it was my fault and I should've known better. Wow!! This is a horrible location. There isn't anyone ever available. As I'm writing this review its lunch time and the line is out the door. Guess how many people are working the desk??? One! There are 4 stations. Someone even walked out, looked at everyone lined up, and walked to the back. The only reason I'm in line is because I need to send ONE letter.
