I had applied for one of the apartments here, but unfortunately couldn't sign the lease due to significant changes in my transcontinental moving schedule. In doing my research of apartments in the area, this apartment managed by Bozzuto stood out in terms of the property, the location, and also the quality of the management company. Reviews on Apartments.com and Yelp have been overwhelmingly positive (with only real complaint being rowdy undergraduates who are no longer allowed to lease in these apartments), and I can confirm that my own experience is accurately reflected by these reviews. I've worked with Christian who was friendly yet professional in phone calls and email communications, and he's been very responsive and willing to help. I am disappointed that I will not be able to stay here, but this will be the first place that I will look the next time I need to find an apartment in the Cambridge area. read more

Have a crappy neighbor who parks in my PAID spot, making us have to call the conceriage, find another place, and creates a huge problem. Came down with my sister to 4th floor lounge September 15 at midnight to get coffee and play pool. As soon as you get off the elevator there's college kids drunk, puking (and puking into 4th floor residents doors). We go to the lounge and see an event took place September 14 until 11PM. But since there's no one in Saturday's to regulate reservations, they threw a college rager and past time limit. In the 2 mins it should have taken us to get coffee, it took 20 mins because of everyone puked and passed out through our entire floor. We encountered the whole floor trashed with weed and cigarettes in non-smoking areas. Then, a drunk guy comes to us and puked right across of us into trash can and it touches my sister. While we were trying to leave. the host of the party came up to us and asked us to throw away her trash. I said I don't work there and she said "I live on the 19th floor, just bill me for it". This one girl who lives here invited 50 outside people who were drunk and hysterical. This is the kind of residents we allow into the building now? This is the kind of event that is reserved in the lounge even though it causes the whole floor to be left disgusting, smelly, and everyone living on the floor with a mess to clean up? No regulation. No respect for other residents space and no following rules. The building also does not have security to maintain any of this on weekends. It's September. College kids will throw parties but that does not mean there shouldn't be regulations in place for the rest of the residents who pay for rent. I have never felt so uncomfortable. Just disgusted at twenty|20 for allowing ragers and kids to puke all over. Literally puke in the hallway was seeping inside of the 4th floor apartment doors. This building is just sad now and a sorry excuse for what should be a good place to live. read more

I truly miss living at Twenty 20. The apartments are beautiful, the common areas are nice and well maintained/clean, and the staff (especially the concierge) were incredible. Unfortunately, I had to move out after just a year due to a new job in California. There were a few unexpected issues with elevators and hot water, but I did appreciate the frequent updates from management (and even the clever "have a beer while you wait" concessions to help soften the blow). The move out process was amazingly flexible. When I received my renewal notice, I had no idea if I would have to relocate for work (in the midst of a job hunt). I explained this situation via email and I received a few options and found that just doing month to month (with $600 premium :-\) was my best option. It allowed me the flexibility to give 30 days notice to vacate at any point OR the option to renew if I did stay in Boston. In the end, I appreciated this flexibility and ended up spending just shy of $600 to have peace of mind and no strings while figuring out where life was taking me. Also, the move-out inspection process was easy. I received a follow-up just a few days after I moved out stating I would receive my full deposit via check in the mail. Overall great experience.. wish I could have stayed! read more

I've been at Twenty20 for about 11 months. I have a 1-bed on the one of the top-3 floors, with rent about $2,900. Overall it looks good on the surface, but many issues. In the units, the paint flakes off and the floors have gaps in them (where lots of crud goes, so it's hard to clean). Also there is a lot of cooking smells from neighbors. Additionally the walls aren't thick so you can hear your neighbors. The gym can be taken care of better and restocked with wipes and towels more (the unused towels are also rough and have a strange smell). One of the three elevators is usually broken, which makes the wait 5-6 minutes. I have had packages stolen several times. 1 out of 5, wouldn't not rent again. read more

I moved to Cambridge over 5 months ago and the transition to a new city and new place was made so much better being part of the Twenty20 community. I love everything about my new home -- my expertly designed alcove loft apartment (with an accent wall!), an indoor parking spot to brave the approaching blustering winters, and modern amenities, including a shared library, social lounge, gym, indoor basketball court, and rooftop overlooking the Zakim bridge and North end Boston. The modern amenities are impeccable and I have spent many productive evenings working in the cozy library. In the summer, the rooftop space is a peaceful oasis from the busy city. The gym has top of the line equipment that rivals the equipment at luxury gyms like Equinox. There are regularly scheduled fitness and yoga classes, in addition to events like rooftop cycling during the summer. But I think what truly sets this building apart from others is the sense of community fostered among the residents and staff. The leasing staff and concierge are friendly and personable. They know residents by name and create a warm and welcoming environment to come home to. Often I enjoy catching up with Kamilla or Oumou at the front desk, and they are incredibly helpful in organizing packages, dry cleaning, visiting guests, or navigating any other question I may have. It is evident that the staff love their jobs. They are also wonderful at organizing events for holidays or special occasions, or just because! Events like Paint night, Wine down Wednesdays, Halloween party, and Thanksgiving potluck, bring together all members of our community. I have made a lot of new friends at these events from diverse backgrounds and professions. With the help of the staff, I even hosted a recruiting event for physicians at a local hospital in the social lounge. As a busy, young professional, living here has provided me with everything I could want out of a home and more. I would highly recommend the Twenty20 building and community! read more

We spend 1.5 month at the Twenty20 at our arrival in the Us in September/October 2015 and we were very satisfied about this accommodation. The staff is kind and very professionnal. I appriciate the help of the receptionist. There are a lot of facilities in the building : gym room, social room, coffe maker, computer, billards. Then, the staff organises diferent parties at the social room. Perfect to meet new people. Then the location is really good, close to the T : green line and orange line. Beautiful view to Boston and the Charles River. I recommand !! read more

I LOVE this building. And I would LOVE to give it 5 stars, but in reality there have been a few minor recurring issues. But let's talk Pros first! Because there are so, so many. 1. Beautiful, newer, well maintained building. My apartment is beautiful. It isn't cheap looking or feeling, I NEVER hear my neighbors, & things in our apartment work as they should. And if they ever don't (which has been rare aside from water issues at times - will get to that), maintenance is on top of it. 2. The concierge and office mgmt CARE and they are all helpful, kind, and friendly. 24/7 concierge that's actually always there, package storage and retrieval, and always with a smile. It makes a difference! 3. Community events every month. Some I choose to attend are comedy shows, trivia nights, paint nights, etc. Some are for kids, some are sport watching events, and most events they provide drinks and food! 4. I feel SAFE around the area when I'm walking to or from the T at night, our walking around with my dog. There always seem to be people around. And if not, it's all well lit, well maintained, and familiar feeling. 5. Access to both the Green and Orange lines within 5 min walk. The EZ Ride bus stops right outside the building for (weekday) rides to North station and into Cambridge for FREE with a pass the office provides. Quick access to the highway. 6. LOTS of green space around for running, pets, and enjoying nice days - 5 min to Charles River trail, 10 min to Paul Revere Park, and lots of other park areas and playgrounds right by Education First down the street. 7. Amenities are great - even though I don't use them nearly enough. The gym is pretty large and always clean, the roof deck has an AMAZING view of the city - that's my favorite part. Bike room with fob access for free, larger washer/dryers on the second floor for larger loads like bedding for free, a pet wash room, very cool 4th floor lounge areas with a pool table, large TV, HUGE bar area which you can rent out for a fee, I've done it a few times and my friends loved it. Cons 1. There have been elevator issues - when one (or sometimes two) stop working it can be a very slow process to get one called to your floor (5-10 min). There have been several elevator issues over the 1.5 years I've lived here, and it's always frustrating in the moment. But at the end of the day, elevators break, and the community is large - it happens. I'm just surprised by the frequency given the fact that this building is pretty much brand new. BUT when they do work which is 98% of the time, they're fast. 2. There have been hot water issues - which to me is the bigger issue. I really love my hot showers, and when you wake up on a cold (or hot!) day and need to get ready for work and turn the water on, jump in a min later and it's not even lukewarm, that's a bad day for me. First world problems. There have been a few times where this has happened for a few days at a time, which again surprises me. I really wish that whatever the issue is with both of these they would actually finally fix it. It almost seems like the issue is half addressed with duct tape (metaphorically speaking) and breaks again in a few months. BUT they did just mention they were replacing boilers, which I would hope is a larger and final fix?? Again, not nearly all the time, but it does get annoying in the moment. 3. There is not too much directly around the building (yet). For some people this is a pro!!! Don't get me wrong - because it's not a very developed area yet, there's not a lot of noise (still some, because construction is ongoing for the CX development - eventually the place will resemble something like Assembly Row I imagine. And there's a highway-ish road running along one side of the building, so you hear your typical whooshing sounds of cars driving by, but by no means honking or a ton of sirens or anything like that), so that part is nice - not a lot of noise. But when you want to quickly run downstairs for a coffee, you can't (yet). When you want to quickly run downstairs to CVS or a grocery store, you can't (yet). You can if 'quickly' to you is a 7-10 minute walk, but if you are a true city person, you will miss this. I do. That said, there are a lot of things within a 10 min walk. It's a 20 min walk to North Station area if it's a nice day and you want to take the long, scenic way instead of the T, and less than 15 min to Kendall Sq. And there are way more things to come soon with the area developing! That's all I got. I really, REALLY love this place, and honestly looking at reviews of other apartment complexes makes me never ever want to leave this building. Ever. Apparently every apartment complex has elevator and water issues (and way, WAY worse issues) by reading reviews...so if you were looking for an apartment, knowing that this happens everywhere some of the time, then do yourself a favor and choose this place. read more

I lived here for 1 year while in school in Boston . Kinda pricy but has very good amenities, views of the city and location. It's also well taken care of and has good management. Only thing I hated though: why didn't you refund me all my deposit when I left took like $600 out for "renovations" . My apt was brand new when I got it. read more

After searching for months to find the perfect apartment close to the city, we stumbled upon Twenty|20's pop-up leasing office as the building was still under construction. Chelsea and Faith were super accommodating and took us on a tour that afternoon. We were sold. We moved into our one-bedroom apartment August 2015. We love the modern amenities and the convenient location of the building. The gym is definitely one of the best features. It has all the equipment you would need and is always clean. The half court basketball court is fun and the building also hosts weekend workout classes in the space. It's really nice to have 24/7 concierge at the desk and the rotating staff is always friendly and welcoming. The staff regularly puts on different events for holidays, sporting events and just random surprises which are always nice. As the building fills up more, and more residents attend, I think it will be a great way to meet more people and feel a sense of community here. The only issue I have is the street noise. Our apartment faces the Zakim bridge and lots of trucks come down Charlestown Ave at all hours. If you're used to city living it might not be an issue. And even being on a higher floor would avoid the noise more. This is a great place to live! read more

I have been living in the building for 7 months and am extremely happy that I chose twenty 20 to be my home! The building is beautiful and is always kept clean and in great condition. The amenity spaces provide a relaxing atmosphere for the residents to enjoy and meet their neighbors. The roof deck provides a beautiful view of the Boston skyline and all residents of the building are able to enjoy this nice perk of living at Twenty 20. Another great perk of living at Twenty 20 is that the friendly staff often hosts fun events for the residents to enjoy and meet their neighbors. If you're looking to move to East Cambridge, this is the place. I looked at several buildings in East Cambridge and once I saw Twenty/20 I stopped looking. If you're into fitness, this place has the gym you need. Several cardio pieces, machines, free weights, and open space for calisthenics. They manage the building with Bozzuto Management - 24x7 concierge (super friendly/helpful) and the whole place is super clean. I'm looking fwd to my next year here. read more

The apartments are absolutely fabulous! We looked at many apartments in Boston and decided on Twenty/20, because of its vibrant ambience. The apartments are new, and new is nice! The apartments are spacious with breathtaking views. The amenities are numerous. The social room with large screen TV, pool table, state of the art exercise equipment and basketball court are incredible. The entire staff is very professional and attentive to our needs. Our tour was conducted by Angela, a Sales and Marketing Associate. She exhibited energy and enthusiasm throughout the entire tour. She made our decision to rent very easy. I had the pleasure of staying in this building for the New Years weekend at the guest suite. The concept of a guest suite was completely new to me at the time, apparently residents of the building can reserve it for friends and family. It was a beautiful fully furnished one bedroom apartment, complete with convenient parking and a pretty awesome view of the city. It kind of gave me a taste of what it must be like to live the good life haha. As a former resident of Boston, if I were to move back I certainly wouldn't mind this building. The building itself was immaculate, not just solely based off aesthetics but also the amenities offered. We got there late and our friend wasn't there to help us get settled. But the doorman took the time to walk me and show me where the garage was because TBH I was kind of flustered about being late etc. The lobby had a very chic feel without being overly opulent so as to give you that don't touch anything impression. Coming in through the garage we needed our key card to get into the building so it felt safe. The lights seem to be on a motion detector, but as someone concerned about my carbon footprint that is AOK in my book. Amenities - Most things were located on the fourth floor. They offer fresh brewed Starbucks coffee for a dollar, which was a lifesaver new years day......They also had a bunch of public spaces for the residents, study room, meeting room etc. Another neat feature was the pool table bar area, apparently residents can rent it to host parties. Could be useful if you wanted to have people and didn't quite have the capacity to or just didn't want it in your own actual apartment. Beautiful views of the city from the outside terraces, although the doors were pretty tough to open. The gym was probably the best I've seen in an apartment or hotel, definitely on par with the My Sports Club (BSC/NYSC) gyms. They have free weights, machines, cardio equipment, tons of plyometric gear and everything was spotless. More than I can say for the place I currently pay 70 dollars a month for......... But wait!!!!!! There was also a half court regulation sized basketball court. It was fitting since you can see the TD Bank Garden from the building haha. But we had a great time just goofing around there. During our explorations we also found a room specifically for washing puppies. Very useful especially since I have two corgis that essentially she a whole dog every time they're bathed. Location - At first glance driving up etc it seems like it is a bit out of the way. But after our four day stay I realized how off base that assessment was. For starters you are a stones throw away from the esplanade, and as a runner having that route accessible would be nice. We were able to walk along a park pathway straight downtown, to be honest it was probably a bit more than a mile but was quicker than the T or cab would have been. I also learned from talking to someone from the building they're required to have bike storage. I like the idea of having a place to put my bike not in my apartment. I didn't actually check it out though so I don't know if there are spots to lock your bike etc though. We were also able to walk to a Whole Foods that was maybe a 10-15 min walk away in Charlestown. We did end up driving a few places that weekend and having 93 and Storrow nearby was neat, but GPS gets confused on the actual "Childs Street". We ended up just putting in Northpoint Blvd and had better success with that. This is the kind of building that would suit someone such as myself. Easy commute to work, nice clean quite building to come home to, gym right there, but I can still keep my car for weekend trips. Close to Central Square if you want to meet people for dinner etc.....If we had guests they can stay in the guest suite, all the good tourist spots North End etc are walking distance. The study room would be nice if say you had work to finish but your significant other just had to watch this episode of Vice as loud as possible.... haha. They have conclusively thought of everything you need and then some. If you're looking for a place it is certainly worth checking out. read more

I recently visited the new apartment complex on Child Street just to see the apartments that were offered. I was beyond impressed with the apartments and all of the included amenities. The employee who gave the tour, Robert, was extremely attentive, friendly, and answered all of my questions. The roof deck was spectacular and provided a wonderful view of the city.
