Twenty Below reminds me of Donald Trump, as it is one of the few REAL coffee shops amidst a sea of phonies. Now, with all political satire aside, I must say that it is without a doubt the best coffee shop I have been to in Fargo. The coffee is made with care and tastes a whole lot better than the cheap grounds they pump out at Starbucks. Not to mention that the staff is absolutely superb. Some of the nicest, outgoing, and genuine workers I have ever had the pleasure to buy a cup of joe from. Also, though the location is a bit out of the way, it fits the cozy, laid back atmosphere quite well. Awesome place. Staff was friendly and chatty, especially since you sit at the bar while they make your drinks. I got a caramel latte, and you can definitely tell that their caramel is homemade, it makes all the difference. Anyway, latte was fabulous. I also bought a howler of cold brew concentrate, and it served me well on my travels through South Dakota all week. I only wish I lived in Fargo and could visit 20 Below more often. This is by far the best coffee shop in the Fargo, Moorhead area. The baristas are exceptionally friendly, and the quality of the coffee and espresso is unbelievable. My personal favorite is the espresso, served with a side of sparkling water. Please stop in for a drink. read more

Not only are those behind the bar kind and conversational but their coffee is delicious and complex. My wife had their espresso milk shake which was rich and creamy and all natural and I had a fantastic single-origin Aeropressed coffee. You can feel the attention to detail and the care that goes into the drinks here and I would recommend it to anyone who cares about a good cup of coffee and good conversation. read more

I was super excited to try this place because I had heard so much about it. The ambiance was great and my drink was good... But I just felt super let down. I ordered French macarons which are my favorite thing in the world. I figured with the whole restaurant covered in "organic" "local" flare, the food they would be offering would be fresh and unique. I was so disappointed it's not even funny. I wasn't greeted in any sort of timely manner and my macarons were so hard- I felt as though I may have been served the display ones that had been out all week? As soon as you walk in the warm atmosphere welcomes you along with the friendly smiles from the people working there. Love love love this shop. The staff is really friendly and the coffee is freshly roasted, as they do all of their own roasting. The atmosphere is clean, minimal, and very chill. You can get literally any form of coffee from pour over to full immersion. I have not been to that many coffee shops that offer as numerous of options - which is really neat. In addition to that we also had the nut bread with fresh home made blueberry spread which was absolutely fantastic. We enjoyed the bread so much that we bought another serving to enjoy it some more. I love this place so much. It's a little pricey but their cold brew saved my life. Good lord I nearly died of happiness. The staff is bomb and always ready to chat. I decided to try this place because it was a newer "hip" place in town. The building is nice but the staff was not very informational. Having not ever been there we asked the woman at the till what was good here and what types of drinks are popular and she didn't have much to say. The delivery of my drink was fast but when it got to me it was only full 6/8th's of the way. Not to mention it tasted bitter and warm, when I ordered an iced caramel latte. One of the best cappuccino's I've had. While the cappuccino was a bit more expensive than competitors, it was fantastic. It was brewed well enough that the espresso wasn't overly bitter as some coffee shops tend to be. A little too 'hipster' for my taste, but not unexpected. My only complaint is the wooden stools were a bit uncomfortable to sit on and wobbled around quite a bit. read more

Great place to grab a little something to drink and hang out. I have been twice and went with a chai latte both times. I am not going to lie, $6 for a chai latte is steep, but it was a really good chai latte and I am willing to pay a little extra for a place that is cool and comfortable, has fair trade coffee, and where the barista shakes your hand and introduces himself. I'm fairly familiar with coffee shops, but the menu is a bit intimidating to look at. I ended up getting their Vanilla Bean Latte and oatmeal. The Vanilla bean latte was amazing. The oatmeal was okay for my taste. When I was there I simply felt happy. The baristas were super friendly, and I felt welcomed. I couldn't have asked for a better coffee experience. My only negative comment is, the coffee is pretty expensive. Especially the black coffee in comparison to other coffee shops around, but it's still amazing! read more
