She would always ask if I needed anything, how I was doing and even brought me a box right away when I said I probably wouldn't finish the pancake as opposed to waiting until my bill arrived. This is your normal standard family restaurant. Lots of elderly are here and it's due to the classic homestyle cooking and easy parking lot. The bad: when I entered, the sign said wait to be seated and so I did. They have 1 person running the register which does clog up because when you are done eating here, you walk up and pay. This caused confusion into who is waiting to be seated vs. paying. I stood around for 10 minutes before a staff member offered to help. Staff should know who is coming and going but I have compassion when it gets busy. I pointed to the sign and said is it seat yourself? The staff member looked confused so I told her that I have been waiting on a table. It shouldn't take 10 minutes to iron out customers. Recommendations include another staff member at the front to control new walk ins to mitigate confusion or better attention from the staff at the register. The ugly: I thought I left my wireless mouse there as I worked from my computer. When I called to inquire about my missing item, the staff member was rude , she put me on hold after I stated my reason for calling and said she needed to help another customer. When she came back on the line, she proceeded to not really care about my ask, couldn't hear my ask correctly in the first place and then asked where I was sitting. This was such a turn off for me. Food is a 4. Service is a 2.5.

It's iconic. Located in the heart of downtown, don't skip on this experience. Offering both bar and table seating, the service is quick and the menu is darling. I would only come here for breakfast because it's served all day and I'm a brunch fanatic. Contrary, a lunch menu is offered and they are supposedly known for their salad bar and soup to which I saw a few tables ordering. I opted in for the breakfast sandwhich which was the right size for me. Many spots these days give way too much food and this was just enough. It even came with two hash brown triangles like the ones from middle school bringing back all the nostalgia. Zero crumbs were left. I will definitely return as I want to try some of the pancake and French toast options. Thank you, Marge's Diner, for being so accommodating and not trying to be anything fancy. I admire the theme, setup, service, decor and prices. Bravo!!!

The service was a bit underwhelming, but it seemed like they were operating with a limited staff, so that may have played a role. Overall, it's a charming diner with a classic atmosphere that's worth experiencing if you're looking for a taste of nostalgia.

Unfortunately, even though we were the only people dining in the restaurant, it took almost 30 minutes for our food to arrive. By that point, we were very hungry! We ordered two salads and a sandwich, so the wait felt especially long. The salads were just okay and on the smaller side for the price. My salad was $14, and my husband had the Cobb salad with grilled chicken for $20. My son ordered the club sandwich, which was really good, and the fries were excellent--although the portion was quite small. Overall, Rosewild has a beautiful atmosphere and friendly service, but the long wait and small portions made it a 3.5/5 experience for us. There were definitely some highlights, especially the club sandwich and fries, but we expected a little more for the price. Great location right downtown with street parking available.

If you are from the Cities, they are owned by the same people as the Hewing, so expect a similar level of service. I liked my old fashioned a lot, it was well made. They have a great bourbon selection, including a lot of Old Forester (which is, of course, the best bourbon). The staff was friendly and I had a nice chat. My one suggestion to the restaurant would be to mark DF (dairy free) on the menu, a lot of us can't have dairy!

It has very similar food menu, the prices are on more affordable, it has a special weekday items (like a $4.99 breakfast deal with two scrambled eggs, bacon, and toast), and it's a bunch of seniors dining and spending their time there reading or playing crosswords or whatever. The food comes out pretty quick, and the portion is the right amount. I got the three egg omelet and it was not bad. If you like restaurants like Denny's, this is the spot for you and it's better than Denny's.

I said to her: I just wanted to let you know I order extra crispy hash browns and they we're raw on the inside.... her reply was not problem I just got her that's on them not me. Seriously I thought it really rude of her. She didn't even let them know let alone say I'm sorry to hear your food wasn't the way you wanted it... or even offer a discount... Not that I was speaking a discount. I just wanted them to know for the next time fo someone else they could do a little better job. Far as the ambiance goes it is average. But another thing if you plan on going in between 12 am and 6am be prepared you can not use the street entrance nor can you access the restrooms with out a code. Which I don't even think is at the right height if you we're in a wheelchair. I understand why they had to implement the feature but honestly it sorta creeper me out being locked in it took me a few moments to gain access of getting out.

The space was clean and the staff were attentive. I then made my way over to the bakery and restaurant side. The signs make it very clear to understand the breakouts. If you are ordering pastries and coffee you will be on one side, whereas, if you are looking to order off the menu with full service, you will be on the bar side. Nichole's is a well oiled machine. The setup is easy to navigate and the concept is unique. Blending pastries, coffee, cakes, cooking products, wine, breakfast, lunch and dinner into one space is magnificent. I loved my intimate dine in session ordering the avocado toast on sourdough bread with an over hard egg and an orange hot tea. It was the perfect blend and was the best avocado toast I ever had. My belly was far too full after brunch so I went to the bakery side after and bought a chocolate raspberry muffin (also the best muffin I've ever had), chocolate chip cookies (darn near ate them all in one setting) and poppyseed thumbprint cookies with a raspberry filling (jaw dropping). There are so many more products to taste and see so I highly recommend a visit. I totally look forward to my return in August so I can dabble more with pastries and get into the espresso world too.
