Well the coffee was ok. Gotta be honest. This was the most underwhelming place I ate at during my time in Fargo. Was really excited to try this place as it was right next to my hotel and also next to a very good Japanese restaurant. The vibe is super cool and the inside was nice and clean with ample seating. The menu is clear and they have a lot of coffee and waffle options. The service was so so. Not bad but not necessarily good either. Now the waffles were pretty bad. Not only were the toppings very underwhelming but the waffle itself just wasn't good. If food is your main thing I wouldn't come here but if your looking for some coffee and a quick bite it could work read more

This place was so nice ! I got the S'More waffle which was so delicious! And a small hot chocolate. Everything came out orderly and wasn't and wait time at all. I would say that just like everyone else in the reviews it is a bit expensive but nothing crazy. Definitely stopping by again before I heave ND! read more

Nearly an hour to get our waffles. The wife waited 25 mins or more for a Latte that never came. When she went looking for it, the genius behind the counter asked "did you order one?" Haha. I agree with others that the coffee isn't worth waiting an hour for food. Other reviewers were also spot on regarding the value proposition. When the food came out, we asked for something to eat it with, and we were directed to the bucket of forks by the cash register where we had been an hour prior. This is the dumbest business model ever: self serve coffee, self serve silverware, self clearing tables, crappy service, and quite average coffee and waffles. Hahaha. What genius came up with this. Omg, I can't stop laughing as I write this. It is really just the dumbest concept I've ever seen. Make people wait forever for perfectly mediocre food and coffee. Yay for a place that offers vegan waffle options! Too bad the prices are pretty steep. A base waffle was $7, plus $2 to be made vegan, plus $2 extra PER topping (on average). It's $2 extra for actual maple syrup... I ordered takeout and the process was very confusing. I got email confirmation that the order was ready, so I came in. Despite multiple workers behind the counter, there was no spot for pickups and you have to wait in line. I asked for my order and they couldn't confirm that it was mine. No name, no receipt, no note. Nothing. The young lady opens the container and we assume it's mine. Thankfully it was. When I asked about syrup, I was given a little cup of what was clearly cheap, imitation syrup. You'd expect more from a trendy waffle spot. My waffle of choice was the Naughty Waffle, (minus whipped cream to be vegan) since it was a better value than building your own. The waffle was decent enough, until I found a hair stuck to one of the blueberries. I like what they tried here, but it seems to just be a hipster, overpriced waffle place with poorly trained staff. 2 stars because the service was fine and the ambiance was cute. Food? Most one dimensional place I have ever visited. The promise of savory waffles was a lie. Pretty sure you could eat the exact same waffles at any hotel's continental breakfast, and I could replicate what they served me for a fraction of the cost. This restaurant breaks my rule: never eat out what you can make better at home. I tried one bad pig so as to attempt to eat some protein. Flavors didn't blend well at all. Honestly some of the best service I've had downtown in awhile! I was staying downtown Fargo for a work trip and was recommended this place by many fargo-locals. I tried it out and was so impressed! I see a number of not-so-good reviews, but for my two visits so far, I've had good experiences. Perhaps it's some growing pains of being a new restaurant or maybe just some inconsistencies with staff. In our last visit, my daughter really enjoyed her strawberry cheesecake waffle. It was big and tasty. She couldn't finish it, so I ate some as well and thought it tasted great. Very rich/sweet. I've heard some people say the food is expensive but I disagree in that you are not getting a generic diner-type waffle. The $9-$10 price seems totally reasonable to me for the presentation, taste and portion. I've enjoyed their coffee as well. I don't think the cold brew was worth the $5.50 for the 16 oz drink, but I had to at least try it. The decor and vibe of the building is top notch. On my visits, the staff were friendly. read more

We came in from out of town for a family reunion and decided to try this place for breakfast. Because we had never been there, we didn't really understand how it worked. I ordered a blueberry waffle and I was rudely told "We don't have blueberry waffles here". I pointed to the menu that said blueberries under "build your own waffle". She responded with "Oh-so what you want is a build your own waffle with blueberries-not a blueberry waffle". I said ok, that's fine. I also ordered a mocha and a black coffee. She gave me a number to put on my table and a few minutes later, our waffles came, but no coffees. I went trip and asked about the coffees and she said "Your mocha has been sitting here for 15 minutes, but you never came to get it". I explained that I had never been there and I didn't realize that it wouldn't be brought to my table. I then asked her about the black coffee. She said that it was serve yourself and pointed to a coffee urn before walking off. I looked around and saw some coffee mugs and filled one with coffee and brought it to my husband. About 5 minutes later she came over yelling at me telling me that the mug unused were mugs for sale and not for drinking coffee and brought me a mug. I took the mug and asked her where I should have found the mug to serve myself. She said you should have used the one I gave you when you ordered. I told her that she didn't give me one and she started arguing with me. This service was HORRIBLE! Will NEVER go back here-nor will my family that all lives there (there's about 40 of us). read more

Showed up here late September (pre-COVID) because many of the other places in the area were closed. +It was early in the morning and many places did not open until 10:30 or 11:00, but this one had earlier hours - great job! Fargo has some really great coffee shops so it must be hard to compete. +Their decor was simple, with board games and open tables. +The menu looks delicious and has just enough options to get your mouth watering. -The issue is that the waffles took a really long time to arrive! We had to leave for the airport in 1 hr 45 minutes which almost was not enough time! -Their internet was down that day, so I was not able to receive a receipt from their Square payment system either. This latest time, we ordered ahead because we knew we were only going to have 20 min to eat. We arrived right on time. Finally got our food 30 min later...chewy waffles with some of the best toppings missing (and not because they were out of them-they just didn't put them on). My son and I stopped in here while on a short trip and it was better than expected from reviews. This place should be busier! We had the loaded potato and apple strudel waffles and the were really good. The decor and music are exactly what I would have if I were to open my own restaurant.
