Knew I was in the right place when I ordered my husband's drip coffee and they asked if I wanted light or dark roast. Got a breve capp for me and it's in my top 5 best capps ever. Ambiance was friendly, calm, and inviting. Staff was so friendly and fun and we had a great conversation. Cute, quaint coffee shop located in downtown Fargo. They also have another location in MN that is not too far from Fargo. Like every other place in downtown, there's plenty of street parking. When you enter the shop, you have the option to enter the coffee shop to the left or their retail gift shop on the right. I didn't get a chance to go to the shop because I was meeting work colleagues but it looked like they had a variety of gifts, not just coffee. I was pleasantly surprised to be able to get a vegan coffee. They were 15 mins from closing and it seemed like they were still in the process of decorating (?) and rearranging furniture. There were a few places to sit, 2 couches and a few tables with chairs. It had a nice rustic feel. The 2 men behind the counter were very nice and accommodating. For 3 large hot chocolates (1 vegan), it was a little over $21. I guess this is normal but it seemed like there was an upcharge added for each of the drinks, which was confusing. I'm not someone who frequents coffee shops so maybe this is a normal fee. Anyway, it was a nice shop to try out! read more

One of my favorite things to do when I'm traveling is to use Yelp and find great places to get coffee. So that's what I did when I ended up in Fargo, and it worked out great. Cozy cafe serving great coffee--perfect place to get some work done. Needing to find a place to focus outside of the hotel I was staying at, I decided on this cafe after looking up coffee shops in the area. I was lucky enough to go during a slower hour on a summer weekend, so I asked if I could do a flight-style, pour-over sampling of their beans (see photo). The Ethiopian was well made and had very noticeable tasting notes (on the fruity side). The Costa Rican was good and had a dark, more-chocolate flavor (better for espresso imo). Finally, the Papua New Guinea was decent; not too distinct in comparison to the other varieties listed prior (best way to describe it was that it is a perfect median of the other coffees). Ok so I love 20 below. I am a frequent guest. Their coffee is soooo good and it's such a treat to get to go. The baked goods are heavenly. The staff is always kind and helpful. I just have a little constructive criticism on the toast- plz train your staff to make the toast consistently. I love the feta toast and the new favorite. Usually the feta comes with a thick serving of feta and the tomatoes and basil are arranged cute and plentifully on top. The new favorite usually has poached eggs and is so ooey gooey and good. The last 2 times I've gone, the eggs were hard boiled and there were no micro greens. They barely put any feta on my toast and only 3 sad looking tomato slices in the middle. The toast was not toasted as far as I could tell. Just tasted like bread. Not worth $10 plus a tip... read more

Pleasantly surprised to have found this nice cafe in downtown Fargo. It has ample space, friendly employees, and nice selection of drinks. I chose their seasonal drink, Vampire latte (beetroot powder), Samoa scone, and my husband ordered their pour over coffee. Beet latte was definitely interesting. I usually love eating beets, but I don't know if this latte is my favourite. Pour over coffee was nice, but I think my favourite was the Samoa scone! I loved the ambience and vibe here. First off- order on your phone and they will bring to the table- skip the line. Secondly, super cute decor. Nuff said. Thirdly, the toast OH the toast. For my day trip to Fargo I asked a couple of people for their recommendations and all of them mentioned Twenty Below Coffee, so you know I had to go! Overall, I loved the vibes, aesthetic, coffee, and service. But most importantly, I love that all their items are ethically sourced and freshly-roasted! After looking over their menu (which was super cute and unique btw), I decided to get an iced caramel latte. The coffee was delicious! The beans were a bit burnt, but it didn't give off too much bitterness. They also have a plethora of all your other classic coffee shop drinks + a selection of pastries. Best coffee you will find just about anywhere you go in the US. Not only do they have carefully selected beans with a lot of flavor but they create your drinks using a few different methods that yield the maximum amount of flavor. Then the food is incredible on top of all that. I had the besto pesto that was loaded with pesto garlicky goodness, mozzarella, tomato, and sprinkled with the right seasonings on top of a perfectly thick piece of flavorful bread. Music was great and at the perfect volume. Service was kind and attentive. This is what every cafe should strive to be. I wished I lived here to go every day. read more

Popped in for a light breakfast before flying back home. Ambience was cute and welcomed. A large fireplace in front of a comfy couch looked like a great spot to enjoy a coffee with friends, but being alone, I took up a bar height seat by the window. The iced miel latte (three bears miel?) was very tasty. Definitely recommend. I ordered the fancy ham and cheese on their whole wheat sourdough and to be honest I thought my order got lost. But, after 20 minutes the food came out. It certainly wasn't busy at 7 am, so maybe it did get lost. I don't know. Regardless it was delicious. I'll say we were a little disappointed with our visit. We were in town for an event and needed to get some work done so based on local recommendations we thought we'd give it a try. When we arrived we grabbed a comfy spot on the sofas and were ready to settle in. While I was waiting, I thought I'd use the restroom. To my surprise they didn't have access to one for the morning (I was told they shut off the water; not sure how you make coffee without that). The coffee and the croissant were fine; nothing special. I guess this was one of those experiences where the recommendations were so great we thought it would have been a better experience. With all that said, we will give it another shot, and it would have been great had we had bathroom access. read more

The beverages we had were really good (Chai Latte and Kinnick Latte). I loved the warm cozy atmosphere and the friendly staff. We also got a green eggs no ham and the fancy ham and cheese. I was a little underwhelmed with my avocado toast, it tasted a bit like bland guacamole - the texture wasn't great. The fancy ham and cheese was better, but still a bit bland. Note that there is a 25 cent up charge for paper cups, which is all they seem to be using during COVID. They're doing a great job with safety. I would definitely come back. It's a good cup of coffee, you're just going to pay for it. read more

Best coffee shop in Fargo? A resounding YES! I absolutely LOVE Twenty Below coffee, so much so that I look forward to going there every time I find out that I'll be traveling to Fargo. They have great coffee and food items, a wonderful staff, and a comfortable setting. Here's some more detail: 1) The coffee: There are always at least 3 pour-over options offered each day, in addition to standard espresso drinks. Every drink I've had here has been well made with excellent beans that taste great. 2) The food: lots of awesome food items, including many that are vegan / dairy-free. The brownie and banana bread are both particularly excellent. The granola isn't bad either. 3) The staff is always super friendly, expertly answering all questions and making sure that customers get exactly the kind of coffee and food they want. 4) The inside is super cute, with lots of comfy places to work or visit with others. They have clean bathrooms and there is usually ample street parking. All in all, a great little coffee shop in downtown Fargo! read more

There were only about 6 people besides us in this place. We stood at the register for 4-5 minutes while people in back of register talked and made coffee. Not only no greeting, not even eye contact. We ordered two of their "toasts" -- the "my new favorite" and "green eggs and no ham." It took over 20 minutes for the order to come out - with only one order before us. Neither of our toasts were toasted. Not even slightly. (They weren't even warm) My wife's bread was frozen in the middle. She didn't even eat the bread. They never checked in or even acknowledged we were there. We went to a dozen other places in Fargo -- and EVERY single one was heads and shoulder above this place. A few tweaks and they'd be on track. But wow, that was just really bad service made worse by slow mediocre food. read more
