    Lobster Roll
    Breana L.

I enjoyed my first visit here! The service is great, the food doesn't take too long and our server was very nice. I ordered started by sharing a lobster roll, which I did enjoy, and then the kare udon which was a good portion and tasty! I would definitely like to try more of the menu items here!

My sushi was undercooked and my server was a climate change denier. I asked for aux, and started playing Carti leaks. Chef was pissed. Said I was part of the problem, that he would never drop an album if people kept leaking his shit. I digress. If you've ever wondered what it's like to be on kitchen nightmares, just ask the chef to borrow a phone charger. I paid about $30 for two fairly small rolls and then had the pleasure of defending my friend from the irate chef who started throwing things against the wall, claiming we stole said charger that remarkably never left its original position of the fucking wall outlet. Grabbing customers and screaming at them is just a unique taste of Bethlehem that you won't find elsewhere. Unlike the opening, everything in this paragraph is unfortunately true. Please don't come here.

The service was nice but I think bc there was only one waitress and one chef, it made the wait time REALLY slow... I recommend the miso soup but the unajo was just okay. Most of the sushi were fresh but a little bit too pricy.

So I came here on a date. I enjoyed the food part of the experience. The guy I was with got a salmon roll and said he didn't know the fish would be raw and barley touched it... not the fault of the restaurant, obviously. I enjoyed my food though, very good!

I've go to Twenty Four every time I visit my boyfriend in Lehigh. We are native new yorkers, and there are many many sushi restaurants to choose from. We were a bit skeptical about visiting a college town sushi joint, but we were so wrong! The customers are mainly college kids, and they can be understaffed at busier times, so plan to go around 6-7. This sushi restaurant is delicious, authentic, and just a quick walk down campus. Most cheap sushi joints are staffed by koreans or chinese, but the sushi chef is genuinely a japanese sushi chef! The sashimi is surprisingly fresh, and they prepare some great specialty rolls: My favorite is the jungle roll, and the godzilla. The fried banana here is the best I've ever tasted! Also, you can also bring your own wine! Simply walk to the local liquor store down the block and grab a nice white wine with your date, and you're set! Can't wait to go there again!

I was at Lehigh University doing some work for my company, so I decided to try some of their local asian food. I did not realized it was restaurant week. I was so excited to see they have some restaurant week special, three course meal for $15. I wanted to come here for sushi, but seeing there was the special, I had to get it! I ordered the teriyaki snapper lunch box, green tea, gyoza, and miso soup. Everything was pretty delicious, my stomach left happy. The only thing I would suggest is giving a slightly larger portion of the "main course" in the lunch box. In my head, all these food sounded like a lot, but I wasn't that full after I finished my food. I was just a little sad my snapper is so small, feels more like a snack. Maybe the portion is smaller for the restaurant week, who knows. But overall, I am really satisfied with the customer service and the quality of the food. I will need to come back and try their sushi.

    All ready for sushi.

Has been at least 3 years since I visited this place so we were surprised to find ourselves there after 9:30 on a first Friday in South Bethlehem. Our petite waitress said it had been slow since much of their business comes from students at Lehigh University. Ah, yes, I remember my college experience well. Dining on $2.75 sushi pieces, sipping my favorite Pinot Grigio. Oh wait, I think I was getting drafts for $.35 and getting a dozen clams for a buck. Anyway , memories aside, our meal was fantastic. Only two other tables were seated and the sushi chef was just beginning to relax. It goes without saying that you don't get the best sushi when the chef is harried and busy. We started with Beef Negamaki which was very good, not the best I ever had but very good indeed. Next up where four pieces of sushi that were all fantastic: tuna, white tuna, Maguro, and Yellow Tail. Each piece was a generous cut and laid across perfectly cooked sushi rice. Delicious. Blue Jewel, Viper and Jungle rolls came next and turned out to be the perfect trio of complementary flavors. The rolls were also priced right, $12. Some places charge $16 for a similar sized roll and will add an extra type of fish but in truth that just increases the price with almost no additional flavor benefit. These rolls had just 3 or 4 ingredients and maybe two fishes so the flavors jumped out. So, BYOB and be sure to visit when school is not in.

The unsweetened Iced green tea is very tasty.

Our first visit and we went to get our sushi fix. My wife had the Godzilla roll and the shrimp tempura roll with salmon on top. She said they were amazing. Being I am doing the Keto diet I had the Volcano salad to start. It had a spicy dressing and assorted sashimi on top and for my main dish I had the sashimi deluxe. The sashimi melted in my mouth. I would reccomend Twenty Four East to anyone who is a sushi over.

Philly Roll and Super jungle roll. Both REALLY good!

Delicious, melt in your mouth raw sushi. I recommend the sashimi and sushi over the fancy rolls.

We were going to a place nearby that serves 6-8 different types of cuisine that I didn't want to roll the dice with on a Saturday night. We had to park behind and walk by Steak and Steele to get there and she smelt steak and wondered where it was coming from? That was my opportunity to point out the Japanese style steak place! So we rolled the dice.... We sat at a traditional window table by the bar and were seated quickly. I wanted to do the teppanyaki table but she didn't want to deal with other folks etc on a busy night. The server was so nice and very down to earth. Fairly quick service overall. She had no clue about the ins and outs of this cuisine but she knew the menu well. I had fun talking with her and explained a few reasons for my questions about this type of dining that I know very well and she seemed to enjoy learning. Another server next to us seemed very much the same way and they worked well together with service. My wife ordered a really good Yuzu and I got a Sapporo draft. She loved that yuzu but to me it was kind of too sweet and I love sugary drinks. But I'd highly recommend looking at the bottle and finding one. $15 but this product category is not cheap. I prefer Kirin over Sapporo but it was good. We ordered steak and shrimp and steak and prawns, along with a spicy tuna roll extra spicy. The roll was Meh at best and not even really spicy at all but still tasty I guess and just above grocery store sushi grade. The food platter we got was F enourmous! Wow I just didn't know how to even imagine it when it showed up. We both opted for half noodles and half rice and the pile of these was immense. But it was about as good as say Panda Express or maybe slightly better however a huge volume. Protein was pretty generous and was seasoned pretty well and cooked at a good temp. The onion soup was mild but nice touch. Salad basic but fresh. I'd eat here again if ever in town again. The bar looked nice with four tv screens across from a group of stools in a line. Probably good for a drink and snack. But it just doesn't wow me other than really appreciating the great staff, value for the money, and an alternative to a dinner elsewhere I didn't care to try.

I don't want to show any pictures of this place, I don't want anyone loss appetite. AYCE menu? Totally not all you can eat, charge $30 per person, but ACYE menu are small and not much options to choose, forcing customers empty all single dish, sashimi came out like split half off of cuts in regular piece, and cut into thin slices as much as they can, meat qualities are sucks, they gave shits to people eat for the AYCE menu, I was wondering if the owner refused to let customers order more of sashimi, it can limit them and shows on menu underneath or raise up the price, or stop playing AYCE. Veggies salad tasted awful, don't understand why the home made sauce is way too sweet. Tastes so weird. Do they know how to make sauce? If not, please use the regular Caesar or ranch dressing to be good. Also the servers, cooks and sushi chefs will automatically cut off what you orders of amount on menu, they ain't mention to customers why or which items they ain't do it yet, they think customers are like donkeys, it was too tired to keep asking them what it missing and ain't came out yet. Ended up they automatically charged gratuities without notification. Even I know auto grats will charged on big parties, but still as a server or manager they can notify people came sit down before decided order AYCE or menu's, I don't mind to tips, and I do tips for real, also we tipped sushi chefs in separately, but all entire times there we no one is enjoyable, this place sucks, totally not recommended, and never return it back for sure.

I was looking for a place to grab dinner before going to the movies, and since I hadn't had sushi in a while, I decided to give Sumo a try. Kicked things off with the crispy calamari, which was perfectly fried. It's a familiar favorite, served with a sweet chili sauce that complements it nicely. Next up were the Kani salad and seafood miso soup. While the soup was loaded with seafood, both dishes were fairly average and a bit bland. For the main event, sushi! I tried the Sumo Roll, with spicy crunchy salmon and avocado inside, topped with seared salmon, white tuna, crispy rice ball, and tobiko with the chef's special sauce. I also had the Cracked Lobster Roll, filled with spicy shrimp and lobster, sweet potato tempura, and topped with Kani salad and a Japanese cracker with garlic mango sauce. Both were fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. Overall, everything was enjoyable. I'd rank Sumo somewhere in the middle among the sushi spots I've tried.
