Talk about instagram worthy! Kinya is absolutely mesmerizing esthetically. From the bar, to the booths, to the floating branches....easily one of the most beautifully decorated spaces I've seen. They've definitely nailed the assignment right off the bat. I've been to too many Ramen shops to count, but never have I seen Ramen offered along side sushi. Wait, they also have poke bowls, yakisoba, and even boba? The real question: is there any Japanese subgroup Kings actually doesn't do?! How does one person even choose what to eat? No seriously, I didn't know what to choose. After deciding on the bao buns and Takoyaki, I called the lovely and pleasantly patient waitress back and instead went for the Kinya Ramen. Technically speaking, it can use some tweaks. The bamboo textures were inconsistent, some being stringy. The chasu also had one two many inconsistencies, with many pieces on the chewy side. The ramen egg was overcooked, turning it into pretty much a regular egg. But with that all being said, there is some good here. The bowl is hearty, as they do not skimp on toppings. The noodles are also nicely al dente. All in all, the Kinya ramen still amounts to decent bowl overall. I have long subscribed to the principal that a restaurant that does too much, probably isn't great at any one thing. They is still to be determined. But as a Japanese food lover, I can definitely appreciate there being so many options under one roof. I'll be lying if I told you I won't be back. On the contrary I do look forward to trying a few additional items! There's definitely a place for Kinya....especially in Allentown!

I had just landed in Allentown for a friend's wedding. It was around dinner time when that occurred so she took me to this spot. She ultimately got Ramen while I got their sushi deal. Ultimately you can pick two rolls that are listed along with gyoza and another fried dish. As well could get miso or a salad and I got the soup as it was cold. A very cute spot. As well as the food that I got was super good. I almost forgot that I was now in the middle of Pennsylvania not near any water source sources like I have out in California.

Visiting for a graduation and stumbled upon Kinya during our shopping adventure! The restaurant itself is really cute (I absolutely love the fish lamps!) and the food was fresh and delicious. The waitress came over quickly and gave us suggestions as well. My mom enjoyed her ramen and I enjoyed my rice bowl. My mom's ramen had three very large pieces of chicken in it...enough that we couldn't finish it ourselves.

The ambiance was freaking adorable. The service was okay. We waited like 15 min to have our drink order taken and we were the only other people in there besides 1 party. Once she came out though, she was great. But our food was good. Generous portions and priced nice. 8.5/10 would be back again if in the area

I'm glad I decided to try this place for lunch because I really enjoyed everything. The decor was definitely cute, and the staff were friendly and attentive. I got the Pork bun app, the spicy crispy rice special with spicy tuna, and the trinity roll. At first glance, you may think the items are quite pricey, but the portions were proportional to the price. I would definitely go back again.

Went in on a Sunday afternoon. Walking in, the restaurant was nicely decorated, I love the ceiling decor. The staffs were very friendly, they greet you at the door and along the way in. I sat on the sushi bar and was planning to order something really quick for lunch. I got the spicy ramen with pork Chashu as suggested by the waitress and was definitely up my alley. The sauce was not too spicy and the broth was super flavorful. Pork Chashu was delicious as well. Definitely recommend this place for a stop to enjoy some good ramen. They also have plenty of options for sushi which I will be back sometime to try!

Tonkatsu ramen was good. Pork buns were light and delicious. Sushi rolls always hit. The ambiance is so cute inside. Service is pleasant. Go here every so often.

Poke bowl contained rice, seaweed, edamame, imitation crab, tuna and had good flavor. Mango green tea with mango bubbles was good. Server was nice. Restaurant looks great

I went here tonight for dinner with my sister and hands down one of my favorite places now. We ordered the pork buns, Godzilla roll, Philadelphia roll, shrimp tempura ramen, and the wonton ramen. Everything was delicious! We had Daphne as our server and she was so sweet, and so patient as it was my first time at a ramen place. The restaurant was so clean, and I loved the cozy atmosphere that they had to offer. I would definitely recommend my friends and family to go to Kinya, and I will be returning soon!!

The ramen and chashu seemed old. Meat and egg had a gray color. Smelled... off. Manager wasn't very receptive, waiter requested the ramen off my bill. Manager said she watched me eating, two spoonfuls of broth. Paid and left. Won't be back. Terrible food. The waiter was nice. But that's about it. Update: 45 minutes later I'm having gastrointestinal issues. Egg, pork and brith were definitely old.

Service was on the slow side. Got the signature ramen with the gold noodles. Nothing special & wouldn't fall for the "gold" gimmick again. Won't try again as there are too many other places that are less expensive and good.

The Lehigh Valley has no shortage of ramen joints, this one should serve East Allentown well. Our drinks - Iced Green Tea with Honey and the Iced Latte' were on the sweet side, my wife kept adding water to her Green Tea to make it more drinkable. We both opted for the "Kinya Experience" which was their combo of Kinya Ramen and the Kinya Roll. The ramen was definitely deep in flavor, the pork chashu not quite as tender as others we've had, but the bowl was missing a few of the listed components. Our sushi roll was served well after our ramen and was interesting - haven't had mango in a roll before. Unfortunately after a few bites that sweetness was a bit too much. So far as there use of gold leaf - cute but absolutely unnecessary. It doesn't add anything to the flavor profile. Will we be back? Yes, the food was good even with the gimmicks.

A perfect balance of savory, spicy, and just a hint of sweetness. For my main, I ordered the black garlic tonkotsu ramen. Rich house-made pork broth layered with chashu, a marinated egg, mushrooms, and finished with black garlic oil. Deep, bold flavors that were comforting and indulgent all at once. Service: The waitress was welcoming and super helpful in walking me through the menu and pointing out the standout dishes. She checked in at just the right times during the meal and even offered to box up leftovers without me needing to ask. Attentive without being overbearing -- exactly what you want. Ambiance: The vibe here is casual and modern with a clean, open-kitchen setup. White subway tiles and black accents give it a sleek, minimalist feel, while the warm wood countertop at the bar adds a nice touch of coziness. It leans more toward a fast-casual noodle bar than a sit-down restaurant, so expect a lively, bustling atmosphere rather than a quiet dining space. Value: At $26, it felt a little on the pricey side for ramen, but the portions were generous and I even had leftovers to take home. Considering the quality and portion size, it still felt worth it. Recommend: If you're looking for a spot that's both casual and delicious, this is it. Hands down, my go-to recommendation for ramen in the Lehigh Valley.

This time around was no different. I started with the noodle wrapped shrimp and Karaage chicken. The shrimp are deep fried and topped with spicy mayo and Okinawa sauce. The chicken is also fried and topped with sweet and spicy gochujang sauce. The Karaage chicken is my favorite item on the menu. I tried the spicy miso ramen last time. This time I went with the tonkotsu ramen. It's made with pork broth, ajitsuke tamago, chashu, bamboo shoots, scallions, nori, narutomaki, and black garlic oil. My friend ordered the teriyaki chicken bowl. She liked it so much the first time she had to order it again. Service left much to be desired. The short ribs were incredibly tender and flavorful, paired perfectly with rice and their macaroni salad, which is surprisingly SO good because I normally don't even like macaroni salad from restaurants. The ramen was rich, comforting, and full of flavor as always. The mango shaved ice was refreshing and came topped with popping mango pearls and mochi, which made it even better. When we called in to confirm that the Udon noodles do NOT have egg (as we have a child with an egg allergy), the woman taking our order curtly said "I threw out the box, it's white, you have to look for yourself." When we mentioned we do not know the brand to look, she replied "me neither, I threw out the box." Needless to say - the food is great, but honestly, the family owned business officially sucks. There's a way to respond to things and that just isn't it. Especially as someone taking orders. So thank you for ending this streak for us. The crap service made it easy to make this place a 1 star.
