Big, clean and well lit. They don't put out broken, torn, or stained items. electronic items have been tested to be sure they work. No refunds...BUT... if you find a mistake on your receipt while you are still at the register, it will be corrected! I buy most of my clothes there. beautiful, name brands and beautiful other brands. Everything is overpriced. I am here because I don't want the prices from Home Goods and Walmart. Everything is donated, yet these items are sold at the same price as the same item on eBay. The sign out front says "Shop local," but this business makes that difficult. read more

Great second hand shop, housewares, dishes, clothes, toys. Monday half off. What a nice clean store. Loved it!

They get a lot of good household items and are priced well normally. Clothes are more older styles and there is a definite odor to the part of the store with clothing. The other building has a lot of nice household items and collectibles. These can be really expensive so I'm not sure how well they sell since you do tend to see the same things there for a long time. Resale should be reasonable considering they get everything for free, but that doesn't always seem to happen. Overall, worthwhile to walk through but you're probably not going to find a smoking deal. read more

I love thrifting, but I left empty-handed. The store has a bit of everything--books, clothing, small household items, and office materials, but the quality and style of the items are only fair and rather old-fashioned. My hands had a certain smell after looking through the clothes. They also tend to have more clothing options in larger sizes (M, L+, 10+) and smaller shoe sizes (less than 9) which did not work out for a tall skinny person like me. Prices of tops, pants, and jeans are on par with other thrift stores I have been to ($4-5), but dresses and shoes can range $15 - 35. I also only saw one staff member who appeared midway through my visit, so the store looked unattended for periods of time. Nearly half the books available were peculiarly on Christian topics. Overall, the store could be a treasure trove for some, but certainly not for me. read more

This thrift store is super expensive - which is unfortunate because they actually have some really cool stuff. The reason for my 2-star review, though, is not for the pricing but the staff (or volunteers?). I wandered the store for 20 minutes or so and the cashier talked with her friends the whole time.. not a big deal, but they continued talking even after I'd gotten in line and was ready to check out. She was super friendly with them and even showed them a video on her phone while I stood there awkwardly waiting to buy my stuff. She asked them to step aside so she could check me out, and I was shown zero of the same friendliness level. She was rude, and didn't thank me or say anything after scanning my things. I said thank you when I was walking away and she just looked away. I don't know what I did to make her mad ?? but it was unfortunate to see her treat one customer with respect and kindness, and then treat me the opposite. I'll update my review should I come back and have a different experience. read more

Twice as Nice charges twice the price of other thrift stores. They wanted $30 for a used Forever 21 dress, which probably cost less than that brand new. Maybe the reason for this is that they have a somewhat limited selection, especially in clothes and shoes. Despite the high prices and limited selection, the staff is really nice and they tend to have sales frequently. It's worth checking out if they have a sale going on, otherwise I would pass. read more

I shop thrift all the time and this store is expensive. They want $12 for a Banana Republic top that's way outdated. $14 for khaki shorts by JCrew. $15 for Nike shorts that were also outdated. I get my J Crew khaki shorts at Denton Thrift as low as $1.89 on up to $4. The Nike shorts I wanted were online at Nike outlet for $14 (that's a dollar cheaper that Twice as Nice). They wanted $25 for a pair of Lucky brand wedges. I found a pair similar at Denton thrift for only $5. If they would lower their prices, they would sell a lot more. read more

The world needs variety in resale shops - I had read the comments and after shopping at Twice as Nice- I'd like to post my thoughts. This is an upscale resale shop. They get some really nice things donated. I suspect the people that donate them would stop donating if they marked things cheaply to churn through donations. Heifer Project used to do large "garage" sale events and donors were angry when their donations were sold for 25 cents. Really important is that the shop offers several 20% discounts and has 50% (!) off everything discount days. They quickly told me that the pricy nice lamp I was looking at would be available for 50% off the next day. Nothing like a little excitement as I had to leave the lamp and hope it was there the next day. It was!! read more

What a great store, so many lucky finds. Knowing the funds go to a good cause make it twice as fun as well!

My family refers to this store as Twice the Price. I feel like they need to take care of their pricing problem in order to attract more shoppers. I have been here on half off days and still not felt comfortable buying. There has to be an equilibrium where they make more money and have more sales. I understand that the store benefits the pregnancy center, but I don't think they understand the resale market. read more

They have greAt stuff, but.....Ok, I have to review and hope this ministry will listen. I understand they have great stuff, but there are many places to shop resale.I have spent lots of money here but within the last few months there prices have been unbelievable. I was interested in a travel size hair product.... $20.00. A shirt was $40.00. People who shop resale usually are looking for a really good bargain and if it's only 50% off they can wait for a sale and buy it new. Please consider your reviews... I would love to support your cause but feel it's necessary to consider your customers input. read more

This shop has two buildings, once containing primarily furniture, framed items, lamps and some housewares, and the other with clothing, books, kids' toys, bedding, craft supplies and housewares. I thought the prices were very reasonable, and was happy to discover that I had arrived on a 50% off everything day! They also offer senior discounts on other days. read more

This place not only supports a great cause but it also has an amazing selections and the people who work there really care. Its not like other thrift stores I go to often where you can find a plus size swimsuit next to infant size rock climbing gear or find a pair of high heeled boots next to a George forman. Great little thrift store/resale store in Denton, TX. Clothes are cute and well organized (they have selections for more affordable finds/$3 shirt sections etc, plus great deals on some good brands). Also have a huge furniture section which I highly recommend checking out, have bought way too much stuff from there. Great service & your money goes to a women's ministry too. read more

Holy cow this place needs to reassess the pricing! They have a great location - okay selection. But marking through the labels with a red marker and pricing higher than retail is insane. Don't waste your time nothing really high end and $25 for 5 year old JCrew top isn't my idea of a deal. read more

Twice as nice is serving a great purpose in Denton. Yes it is a thrift store but the sole purpose of it is to support crisis pregnancy. So yes, the pricing could a little higher than others but remember the purpose, they are helping others! read more

The prices used to be fair but now they are really marked up for used items even with a discount they are still a bit much. If your looking for a cheap thrift this is by far cheap. There is other stores that are more reasonable in price and also help support other groups. I do enjoy thrift shopping but every time I go to this one it seems as if prices keep going up. Twice as Nice is part of W2W Ministries. All sales go to support W2W (Woman 2 Woman), a crisis pregnancy clinic in Denton. Almost all workers at Twice As Nice are volunteers. When donations come in, they are researched and priced at 40% of retail (60% off). If Twice as Nice receives donations that are not "nice enough" to put on the floor, they are donated to Arms of Hope. There are a few racks of name brand clothing that have individual prices, but most of the clothing is 2-4 dollars. There are also bags of T-shirts that are 4 for a dollar (bagged by size). You can give your email address to be notified of all sales: On random days they put a category (jewelry or furniture or lamps or shoes or purses) on sale for 50% or 60% off the regular price. The first Thursday of each month all clothes are 1 dollar. Every Monday, everything in the store is 50% off for Students, Seniors (over 55), and Veterans. Every Saturday, everything in the store is 50% off for Teachers and First Responders. W2W provides free STD testing, pregnancy testing, counseling, and education. Decent selection of books, DVDs, and clothing for kids. There's a lot of stuff there really, but I was only shopping for pants for my sons and found 3 pairs. But I also found some great books, 2 DVDs, and a few useful books. read more

I find so many nice things at this thrift store! I have even gifted some of the things and the people that got the gifts loved them. A lot of the clothes are out dated but they have a great selection of decor which I love because it's so much cheaper than what you will find anywhere else. This is my favorite thrift store by far. read more

This place is crazy expensive. They are basing their prices on what they are listed for on Ebay. Kind of messed up if they get this stuff donated to them. People donate things hoping they will go to poor people and then this Christian based company is looking to make as much profit as possible. read more

My family and I have shopped here for many years. I have never been treated with such condescension and disrespect, by more than one of the staff members, as I was today. I won't bore my readers with my list of gripes, however. And, I had several today. All of my complaints, today, boiled down to poor customer consideration and respect. I do not believe that the customer is always right. I do believe that businesses should always treat their patrons with trust, generosity, and genuine courtesy. I was treated (by different staff members including management) like I was a nuisance because I asked about an item price. I was treated like a thief who could not be trusted to walk from one section of the store to another with merchandise in-hand. I was shown distrust because my 20-plus-year public teaching credentials did not meet "corporate office" specifications. I also had my "classroom teacher" status publicly questioned by a staff member. After spending about 2 hours browsing and collecting a stack of ready-to-purchase merchandise at the counter, my young daughter and I were denied access to the teacher discount day offer. We left empty-handed with my weary daughter in tears. I left two voicemails to the corporate office. I am awaiting a response. read more

This shop can have a lot to offer, you just have to be lucky. They have great sales, which is always a plus! On a personal note, I don't like the blaring religious radio that they play and the plethora of church related T-shirts that they charge $3 or more for (they used to be 50 cents). They have this giant $1 for all clothes once a week on Thursdays (I think), it may be once a month. That is awesome except the sale begins at 5 and ends at 7. The down part is that some families come in before 11 am grab butt loads of clothes and fill up carts. Then they sit around for 6+ hours until they are able to purchase them, blocking most passages through the store. Not only is it irritating when one is trying to look at kitchen items and can't even access that section of the store, but I'm pretty sure that would be a fire hazard. They also don't sell coats on that day, period. Even if that is exactly what you came in for, come in before the sale (hours before) and are ready to pay full price. If you don't want clothes (or coats), don't shop there that day! Oh and the staff is nice. read more

First of all the staff is great and the place is there for a good reason and really helping the community. They recently went through a remodel and it looks good. Unfortunately the prices have gone up dramatically ($4 for a used T-shirt?) Unless you are a senior, student or in the military AND limit your shopping to Mondays for the 50% sale for these groups only then you should probably look elsewhere. We used to drop in weekly and find something every time. Now we stop in monthly and almost never walk out with anything. read more
