Twin Cities was hired by AT&T to trim my neighbors trees in the back yard. In doing so they broke the fence lattice. They tried to come back once, but did not have a qualified person or proper tools to fix it correctly. They never came back, so I had it repaired on my own nickel. The lesson is, if you allow a vendor in your back yard that is not hired by you, you need to observe their work to make sure they are liable for any damages. read more

They removed my old Maple tree stump. They were right on time, and kept in touch by phone. They have a senior discount, as well as being the most reasonable in the area. They do not remove the grinding chips, but they clean up the entire surrounding area. I would use the again if I ever needed a grinder. A tree service with great people skills and customer service? Look no further Twin Cities has it! We have a 4500 gallon koi pond with a 25 ft tree behind it, the tree was bending over our pond with cracking ground at the root base. I called Twin Cities immediately, Taylor answered my call and she could tell I was in a bit of a panic, no questions asked Taylor direct calls me over to Jake and listens to our situation. Jake made us a priority and made it out to our home in less then 2 hours, 4 trucks and a crew show up observe the situation no standing around here, the whole crew was moving and doing there part working like a synced machine. This was NOT an easy task with the tree hanging over a koi pond full of fish. This same tree would have hit our house (go to Twin Cities Facebook page pictures and videos of this job). Not only did they remove the tree they removed it with no harm to our pond, fish or any damage to my koi pond system. This was not the end, two days later I have a 30ft redwood tree in my front yard I notice cracking at the base of the tree, the crack was showing a lot of separation. I called Twin Cities Taylor again answers the phone Jake luckily had stopped into the office and took my call right away. Jake dropped what he was doing in the office comes out to the house observes the tree. Jake immediately goes to work, makes a call out to one of his crews and lets them know to head out my way as a priority. Jakes Team showed up within an hour. Twin Cities Tree Service removed 4 trees for me in 2 days. 2 huge Deodar Cedar and 2 large Redwoods were removed with minimal damage to my yard, no damage to the existing fences. My neighbors are happy too, and have given compliments. Our yards are now more safe to be in and no more big branches falling during the storms. Although the trees were beautiful, they have become well overgrown for their location between residences. When planting , always consider future growth of the tree ! read more

These guys are great! They were contracted by AT&T to trim the tree limbs around the phone/internet lines in my neighborhood. They very politely let us now we might be better off moving our cars from the street more safely into our driveway. Man does courtesy go a long way interacting with strangers. Very nice people. They trimmed the limbs they were required to and also did a little preventive work too, taking down a limb that looked like it could break off at any moment and take down the line. I hadn't even noticed the tree had started to rot. Definitely the first people I will call when I need tree work done. I hope AT&T continues to use them in the future. read more

Twin Cities Tree Service trimmed a huge Chinese elm tree in my back yard. This tree dominated my back yard and was very dense and had many branches which were invading my neighbors property. After getting 4 quotes to have a large maple tree removed from my backyard. I went with Twin Cities Tree Service. This tree had large limbs over 4 properties including mine and no way of getting any equipment to it other than chainsaws and ropes. When the crew arrived the more experienced man took a few minutes examining the tree after which he said ok let's do it. He cut the most hazardous branches from over my neighbors property's and lowered them down on to my property. Then a younger man took over and finish the job. They cleaned up every bit of mess and did no damage to the 4 fences that were underneath the tree. Next time I won't get the 4 quotes, I'll just call Twin Cities. read more

The following is all true and not made up. I went with Twin Cities Tree Service on a last minute whim. They beat the price of another local service. They came out the next day. I thought everything was going well. No such luck. I wanted someone there to watch them to make sure my house or yard wasn't wrecked. But with my wife and I working, we had to pray we got lucky. My inlaws came for awhile but left halfway through them pulling the tree out. When I got home, it was like I walked into a archeologist dig. Half my yard was wrecked, even though the tree was in the north east side of my yard. AND my drip line was wrecked. There was line sticking up through the ground, pieces everywhere. Who the heck did I hire? Did I hire Godzilla to pull the tree out? I was mad. So, I called the person who I set the appointment with. No answer. We called a few times...no answer. So, the next morning as my wife is walking out the door, he calls and says he's coming. He wants his check. So when he gets there my wife asked him if it was usual that drip lines are torn out like that. He told my wife that I wanted all the roots torn out to plant grass. Yeah, I did, but a professional service should cut out as much root as possible WITHOUT ruining sprinklers or drip lines. So, I called him and asked if that was usually what they do...rip out drip lines. He then proceeded to blame me by telling me that I told him to rip out the roots so that I can plant grass. I guess what I should have told him is to rip out the roots WITHOUT tearing up my drip line. I just bought my first house and that was the last thing I would have wanted them to do. It was as though they were in a hurry and just grinded up whatever was underground. He then told me that I could just pull out all the wrecked drip line and use the dirt that was piled up to fill up a part of my lawn that was lower than the rest. So, today, I had to find where the drip line ended and hope to ___ that a home repair store has a part where I can cap it off. I've been digging out roots for the last three days. Some easy, some not. I've been pulling up drip lines. I guess these guys are usually hired by commercial businesses. What happens if they pull a tree out and wreck their sprinkler system? Oh yeah...I told the guy that I wasn't sure if they wrecked my neighbor's drip line/sprinkler system because there was a line that was cut up near the property line. I asked the guy if his insurance would cover it if it was my neighbor's line because I didn't want to pay out of pocket for what they did. He then told me that the insurance didn't have to get involved and that they'll send someone out to fix it. So does that mean they don't have insurance? Or that they're always using their insurance and didn't want another claim? Bottom line...whatever I said, as a professional, they should have known NOT to rip out the drip line. It seriously did seem as though they did a rush job on the roots. read more
