The park is huge and offers many things to do. From biking to running to walking. Add in kayaking, other boating activities, and fishing. There are also bathrooms. Ample parking too. My family and I recently kayaked in the lagoon and then had lunch. It was a nice day. The grass could have used a trimmed. I wish they'd clean up the lagoon so you can go down further, but it was still a nice trip. Looking forward to taking the kayak back up.

There are also bathrooms. The trails are well marked, but they really do not seem to match the map. That's my only complaint. But it's a small enough park that now that I've been there, I would know where to go next time. The gorge, the bridges, and the waterfall are all beautiful. There are several lookouts around the waterfall. It's all very picturesque and would be a great place for engagement or family photos. The river was also very clean and I was tempted to wade in to cool off.

The trails are short and easy to navigate with paved boardwalk as well, this would be a great park for small kids or dog walking. The surrounding area is beautiful, but there is quite a bit of traffic on the road around the park that you need to be aware of. They have a gorgeous and large shelter that would be great for a family event and plenty of shade trees.

Trails are pretty well kept, though I managed to get a bit turned around a few times, probably more related to my (lacking) sense of direction. There's TONS to see here, like most of the area metro parks, and I missed a few of the main attractions, but did check out the pond and the small waterfall. The trail itself is pretty much an out-and-back route with a couple of side trails that go into the neighborhoods or just an alternate route. While the vast majority of the trail is "in the woods", the park is sandwiched between the golf course and the houses but (at least while I was there) the area was pretty quiet. Admittedly, it was a cool winter morning without much sunshine. In any case, the area seems to be a popular place for walking or hill running, either on the trails or the park road. This park, while not one of the largest or most secluded, is a great place for a quick escape. This part of the park also has a very nice pavilion, restrooms, and the watchtower to visit.

The water is murky, like you would expect, and the sand is really rough and gritty, again like you would expect for a lake, but it's not slimy. The bathrooms are brand new. There is a ton of green space and plenty of room to spread out from other families. There are picnic shelters and grills. Huge parking lot! Even on the busiest summer holidays, I have never struggled to find parking. There is a really nice fenced in dog area, as well as as a dog section of the beach. If it was closer, we would probably be there a lot this summer as it's a great way to cool down.

Some people park on the little side road adjacent to the park with their wheels off the road. I have liked visiting this spot because if you head west you can access dirt/off-road trails through the nature preserve. Adds a great bit of variety to your walk or jog as you can imagine the that actual rail to trail is long and straight. And paved. The rail to trail is great for walking, jogging, rollerblading, cycling, etc. I have only gone a short section of this trail but looking forward to the time that I can explore the whole length. Get out there and enjoy this great linear park here in Dayton, seeing nature and getting some exercise. This is a wonderful resource to enjoy.

I had been to this park a couple of times last spring but it was so wet that I didn't venture far…read moredown the path. The park entrance is right next to US-35, and appears to be a favorite spot for fishing and putting a boat on the river. After crashing the small footbridge, you can either turn right and follow the trail closer to the road or continue straight to the river bank. Here the trail also turns right and runs along the river bank. Either way you go, it's a big loop. If you want though, you can continue along the river back past the loop to intersect with the Creekside Rails to Trails. Overall this pathway runs through the flood plain and near a swampy area. Not much to look at during the fall but a nice short hike for something different. Only problem from my perspective is the road noise. Go check it out for yourself.

Bathrooms were clean if not extensive although stall door missing a lock. Beach was clean and grass mown so no drama there. There are accessible paved trails that go close to the beach and up from the beach into the woods so older adults and mobility assisted people can participate fairly easily. Definitely just a small snap shot on an event day but it worked for us to come in and out for the morning from two hours drive away.

Caesar's Creek Lake has numerous picnic opportunities, and we note that more than a few folks are visiting today. We choose a delightful pull off overlooking the Lake. I've taken care to select crab cakes from a local deli and assembled crab cake sandwiches; alas, no chardonnay - this is state property.
