Fun but be prepared to scale the rocks down and up. The waterfall and swimming pool area was beautiful and there were some people there so we did feel safe. The parking lot was nice and the lock until you got close to the waterfall was pretty easy. But scaling down the rocks was pretty treacherous and definitely not easily accessible for all so be prepared. Need to pay if you do need to pay for parking so be prepared.
Twin Falls is a hiking area with multiple hiking trails leading to different waterfalls. They are 2, 7, and 25 minute walks to the three and offer different heights of the resulting waterfalls. The most popular is the Twin Falls which is the longest hike but is definitely the biggest. You will most likely encounter this trail and hike if you're doing a Road to Hana trip. Beware that it's a $10 parking fee to enter. They had porta potties for restrooms and there were flies when we were here so I'd recommend bringing and putting on bug spray. The hike to see Twin Falls was rocky and narrow at points and you will most likely get wet when walking through water or over rocks. Some of the rocks were also unstable and at a certain point I just decided to walk through it shoes and all. The resulting waterfall views were nice where you can also cliff jump if you want.
While parking is hit or miss, the visit and views are worth driving back and forth until a spot opens up. We went during the weekday and had to drive up twice before a spot was open, not too bad. Hike to lower and upper falls was fairly easy .. I did hope the upper fall hike would end but seemed to keep going. It was worth the hike because the stream and waterfall were beautiful. Packed a light picnic and had a bite on one of the many benches along the paths. Lots of different viewing points and grassy areas to take it all in. Pack out what you bring in! Portable toilets available near the entrance, well maintained. Drop a donation to keep this place going!
Great hike to do with the whole family. There is a super easy hike to a waterfall that almost anyone can get to. We had it all to our selves for a few minutes around 9 am on a Wednesday. There is a more beginner/intermediate hike to the actual twin falls. Still pretty easy imo. I do think water shoes are necessary as you do have to walk across streams and bouncing along the rocks is kind of dangerous. This one was much busier but still pretty mellow from what I've seen. Parking was easy arriving around 8:45 am. We paid $10 and were instructed to park tight. It's easy to miss the entrance so look for signs and slow down.
Admittedly I haven't done a lot of hiking in Maui. But i really enjoyed Twin Falls. The hikes are super easy, not strenuous at all, but they're fun. There are some giant bamboo in the early section and several waterfalls and swimming holes to jump in. Ever swim under a real waterfall in a swimming hole? Well if not, you should try it here. At the bottom they have a little fruit stand for, sub, fruit, and drinks. I was told parking is space but I swear when we went there was a lot. I think it was $10. This property is private land but thankfully they open it to the public to enjoy.
This was such an amazing experience. Do not miss out on this fun day! Drive past Paia and a little past Haiku. Park for $10. Walk into the bamboo and onto a short trail. Wear a swimsuit or pack one. There are two smaller falls and then about 20 minutes up, there is another falls. It's magical Maui! So very worth it! Enjoy and then head out to Mamas Fidh house for the best fresh fish you can find.
I absolutely love hiking Twin Falls. Not only is it so much fun to do for a date activity. But it's a fun tourist activity for when friends & family come visit too. Plus as an avid iPhone photographer I love snapping pics of the cool things I see in nature. There is so much beauty here to enjoy:)

The parking is crowded so be prepared to look for a good spot and it also costs some money to get in. The walk is beautiful through a path of trees with stops at smaller falls along the way. There's also a stand at the entrance that sells some things so keep that in mind. The walk up is not laborious at all and should take about 30 minutes. The final waterfall is beautiful and the water to get in is cooling and refreshing on your skin after the hike. The fall itself can be crowded so you may need to navigate through some people to get your turn but it is 100% worth it in the end. This should be a must stop location if you're looking for your next Instagram photo, family friendly hike, or a way to get to know the island's beauty.
I recently attended the locals only event on the first Saturday of every month. You have to show your drivers license. It was great to see the improvements at the trails. So much clearing has happened and there's more open space, along with two big parking lots inside the gates. There were demonstrations and displays set up for people to learn about taro and other local foods. I got some roots to grow my own taro. Everyone was in a festive mood and there was music, food, games. I'll be back next month!
Twin Falls Trail is the perfect first stop on the Road to Hana and such a great, easy adventure--especially with kids. The hike is short, well-marked, and manageable, but still gives you that lush, tropical Maui feel right away. The waterfalls are beautiful and accessible, with plenty of spots to stop, explore, and even dip your feet in. It never feels too crowded if you go early, and the whole area has a peaceful, relaxing vibe. What we really loved was how family-friendly it is. You still get the full experience of Maui's natural beauty without a long or difficult hike, which makes it a win for everyone. Great way to kick off the journey to Hana and definitely worth the stop. read more

Twin Falls on Mauí is a popular, easily accessible waterfall hike located on the Road to Hana at mile marker 2, just past the small quaint town of Paia. This was our first stop on the Road to Hana. At first, my wife was a bit skeptical (it had rained a few hours before). However, the parking lot attendants reassured us that it was perfectly safe to proceed. As soon as we began our trek, we were met with lush vegetation, beautiful plants and flowers native to the island, and the sound of birds chirping in the air. The Falls were raging when we arrived and we couldn't help ourselves- we jumped right into the water! Such an awesome experience for my kids! Afterwards, we stopped at a concession stand for some delicious treats and fresh coconut water! read more

Great stop onto the road to Hana. Parking is $10. Today the upper and lower portion of the fall trails were open. You can purchase some excellent banana bread for $7 and other snacks. I do recommend the banana bread. read more

Easy to pair for $10, helpful attendees, easy hiking on your Road to Hana! We spent maybe 30 minutes walking around, and enjoyed the waterfalls and the huge trees! read more

On the way to Hana, we spotted this place and soon we followed the cars that running in front of us directed by stuffs there to the parking lot costing $10... not knowing that's waiting for us, we got off the car and started following people. We went through the jungle like forest for good 15+ mins and saw couple creeks along the way, as we walked forward we got to see the twin falls in the jungle!! What a fun experience! Some people were swimming but after we saw the beautiful ocean, we were not even motivated to put our feet in Anyways, it's a freshwater river/water falls! Definitely refreshing for our feelings because of that it was worth $10 parking Come check out as you wish! Cheers read more

Incredible site when you're in Maui. Would definitely recommend! It was super fun both for taking pictures and for swimming. The hikes are not hard at all and are very moderate. Some slight inclines and walking over rocks here and there. We saw some incredible waterfalls and had some very good pineapple and banana bread that they sell from a food truck. They do have plenty of parking for $10 per car but we do recommend arriving early to make sure you do get a spot since it's popular. Even if you don't want to swim it's a great spot to stop on the Road to Hana. The place is incredibly beautiful and maintained. They have porta-potties and a food truck for banana bread, pineapple and honey. We stopped here like 2-3 times while in Maui. read more

We had the worst experience here because of a parking attendant, just like how other people are saying. (Filter reviews with 1 star and you'll see.) When we arrived at the parking lot, it was full and we were not let in, so we drove back a little and found a side street that had no "No Parking" sign to park. We walked back to the entrance, then this parking attendant in the photo told us that she won't let us in because we parked illegally. We told her we found a side street with no sign but she didn't even try to listen. We went back to the car and tried again, this time there was a space for us at the parking lot. As we were rolling in, (our mistake our window was open!) she started talking to us and blamed us for "yelling" at her from afar and being rude. I, again, explained where we parked was legal and my husband was telling her we had kids walking with us on the busy road. Her answer was "not my problem," "it's your fault for not researching before you came," and then she ended up with "shut up." We drove in and came to another parking attendant. Then the rude parking attendant used walkie talkie and told the lady not to let us park. At this point we had enough of it and just left. I felt so bad for my kids who had to listen to this. I apologized to my kids for what had happened and tried to make their day better because it was the last day of our Hawai'i trip and I didn't want my kids to remember it like this. I hope whoever is responsible for Human Resources would see the reviews here. Sounds like we all are talking about the same person. read more
This is a nice trek for those who can't do intense hikes. It's a wide and mostly man made trail leading to the falls. Lots of people at the tall waterfall, if you can endure a more difficult trek the bottom falls is much nicer and empty. Parking is $10 a car, but free for HI residents. read more
This was our second stop on the Road to Hana, and it's a good starting point for all the waterfalls you can see on this journey! We debated on whether or not to stop here, but made a quick decision to stop when we saw there were still spots available in the parking lot. Parking lot is relatively small and charges $10/car. We ended up only hiking to the first falls due to time restrictions for all we had planned for the Road to Hana. The first falls is nice, but compared to the waterfalls you will see farther into the drive, this one is so small. I would say this stop is only worth it if you have time to do the entire trail. Otherwise, if you only have time for a quick stop with the short hike to the first falls, I'd skip it - you'll see much greater falls down the road. read more

Twin Falls is located along the infamous Road to Hana but at only 35 minutes from the Airport it presents either an early stop or an opportunity to turn around after tasting the beauty and challenge of The Road to Hana. Twin Falls comprise 3 sets of easily accessible waterfalls with swimming holes found through meandering trails on a property that is managed by a private farm. Upon arrival, parking is very limited and strictly enforced to designated areas with a fee. At the entrance there is a food truck service coffee and light refreshments. Restrooms are available at the entrance. The parking is a little tricky as there may be a wait for an available space but a visit to Twin Falls is worth it for the beautiful trails that connect the different waterfalls and swimming holes. Remember to keep going after you find the first one! read more
Like many others, this was our first initial stop on the Road To Hana. Pay $10 to park here and you can "hike" to three different waterfalls. They had porta potties available. The first waterfall is the closest and was very pretty. The second one was the least impressive and about 15 minute farther of a walk from the first waterfall. And the third waterfall about 30-minute hike from the 2nd waterfall was the most beautiful. People were swimming in the pool of water below, I was very jealous about and was not wearing my bathing suit at this time. The "hike" to the third waterfall is a bit buggy so if you have bug spray, use it. It can be done in sandals which I was wearing, water does cross over the path so if you have sneakers be mindful that they will get wet. This was our only waterfall stop we decided to do on the Road to Hana and we were happy with it. read more

If your travel buddies get motion sickness, Twin Falls is the perfect mini adventure. It's along the Road to Hana but before the windy roads begin. There are 3 falls in this location with opportunities to take dips. There are also bamboo bunches and fruit trees to admire. Bring bug repellant, water shoes, sunscreen and a hat. There are some slippery areas and wet paths that will need extra care in crossing. read more
We were so excited to go on this trail and were looking forward to seeing the 2 waterfalls along the path, a small one and a large one. Sadly, we found out after we paid $10 for the parking fee that the path that led to the large waterfall was closed due to flooding. The trail to the small waterfall was very pretty and there were all kinds of exotic plants and flowers along the way. There were lots of beautiful bamboo trees too. We are a bit disappointed but had a nice time overall. The small waterfall was large and deep enough for people jump down a cliff into the water. I watched them in envy...If only I could swim......... read more

Contrary to what other people have posted, I wanted to give a review based on the perspective of those w disabilities and the elderly. This not a place to go for those who are handicap or very frail and elderly because it can be dangerous. We were fortunate that the rain stopped when we went but we still encountered unsteady paths. Although the "easy" waterfall is close to the parking lot, it was pretty hard to get to bc there is not only a graded slump to get down to it, but it's surrounded everywhere by a TON of small smooth rocks that you can lose your balance on and our party fell down badly. If there are people with disabilities, I would suggest that you save the $10 and look for a drivable waterfall if one exists. Some of the elderly we saw didn't want to risk it and turned back. That was a good choice. Waterfall is beautiful nonetheless Parking was quite fine for us, even tho we were worried about the previous yelpers who experienced problems w the attendants. The attendants were quite nice and even answered some of our questions. No problems at all and parking was ample. $10. Use a cane to avoid falling and bring shoes for water. Close to the beginning of road to Hana, set your gps to this location bc it can be easy to miss otherwise. GPS will lead u right to it. If you're concerned about reception then download an offline google map to be safe. FYI we did get some decent cell reception here which wasn't too bad read more
Did you know that the first Saturday of the month is Kama'aina Day at Twin Falls? There is usually entertainment at the front lawn. Great place for a picnic. This month was a plant giveaway for Native Plant Month in April. If you haven't been to the Falls for a while, check it out. Lot's of improvements on the trails and property.
