    Waterfall Rapelling
    Cienna D.

My family and I booked this activity to try something new and face our fears (aka me). Although I hated it since Im terrified of falling backwards the tour guides (Elena and Shauna) were amazing. Shauna had a great sense of humor and kept me laughing. Elena made sure I felt comfortable and reassured me multiple times. They both were amazing and telling each of what pieces of equipment do what and what to do in case of an emergency. The photographer was also amazing. He got amazing shots and was also a great support system. It was so amazing to see how fast they can go down the waterfalls themselves! It takes place in the Garden on Eden which is very beautiful. There's about 150 feet worth of repelling. Two 40ft and one 50ft. The first one you start off with is off the side of a hill not a actual waterfall but it's nice to get used to it before your on the rocks. The other two are waterfalls where you jump in when you're 2-5 feet away from the ground if you want. There's a little bit of a pathway down but it's not bad but of course what you go down must come up. The way back up is mainly stairs and they call it the "booty blaster" which I agree lol; the stairs are getting eroded away in some spots but that's normal with nature. Shauna was an awesome guide giving us breaks and quizzing us on the native of invasive plants. Make sure to bring an extra change of clothes!!!! Don't make the mistake I did otherwise you're gonna be wet the whole ride home but that was my fault. Also recommend wearing junkier shoes because you're in a rainforest and rain created mud.

Alba and Shauna were great, very friendly and kept everyone comfortable and safe. Would recommend to anyone looking for and outdoor adventure. Dress to swim!

One of our fearless leaders, Alba. Like the other two, she was skilled, helpful, friendly and patient.

This was such a unique experience. Most of our group had never rappelled before but the patient and fun staff taught us all. The routes were challenging but doable. Be prepared to get wet. It was well worth the drive to such a beautiful location. I had wanted to Zipline and will do so another time but was glad to have this fun adventure. Alba, Shauna, and Deacon were the best!

Very safe, really fun, definitely a bit scary going over but how often can you say you rappelled over a waterfall in Maui??? Our guides Mike & Shauna were amazing

This was one of the coolest things we have ever done and we have done a lot of things. You have three different places you repel down. The first one is more of a training and preparation. The other two are the reasons to do this. The 1st waterfall you repel alongside the falls. At the bottom you are given the option to jump in the water. The jump in is fun but I will tell you the water is a little chilly. The 2nd waterfall you traverse down through the falls The two gals Alba and Abbie were amazing giving instruction and spunk to the activity. They are totally cool people. I was glad they prepped us for the hike back up. Take a deep breath and get ready for some elevation.

The safety training you get simplifies what at first seems impossible. @Abbie-McCarthy-1 & @Ropheka-Gershom were EXCELLENT!

Ropheka Gershom and Abbie McCarthy were AMAZING! They make the entire experience easy, safe and FUN! This is one of those "Bucket List" things you want to do and it was defiantly something I want to do again! The part when we got to go down INSIDE THE WATERFALL was the best! This is a great "confidence booster" as what seems impossible in life is not if you learn for pros like you'll find here at Rappel Maui. I'll be back for sure!!! MAHALO!

These ladies are amazing, our tour guides Sam and Ropheka are the best. We were visiting from LA for my birthday. Everything from the checking experience to the checking out was absolutely great. Sam and Ropheka are beyond knowledgeable with the ropes. we were first timers and let me tell you they make you feel like you a pro :) . i highly recommend Rappel Maui, this is a must if you go to Maui!! I give them 10 stars :D Thank you Sam and Ropheka for making our experience unforgettable!

This was an absolute amazing experience!!! Can only recommend to everyone going to Maui to do the rappelling!! SO exhilarating!!!! Our guides Shauna and Elena were the best!! Not only did they make us feel super safe, but they were very knowledgable and so much fun!!! It really was the highlight of our week. Just AMAZING!!!!! Go do it!!!

In A Nutshell: -Rappel Maui is a fun activity you can do in a small group of family/friends. -The location is about 1/4 of the way on the Road to Hana co-located at the Garden of Eden Arboretum. -Parking was plentiful & easy. -Your two guides will meet you at the parking lot & walk you to get your gear fitted & store any belongings. -Our guides, Naomi & Deacon were very professional, cool & nice. -You will rappel off of a total of three different areas: the first is an easy practice/familiarization cliff, the second and third rappels are both waterfalls that drop down into small ponds. -If you don't have any experience it's okay you will learn very fast. -It's pretty rewarding to be able to rappel down into two different waterfall/ponds on a hot day in Hawaii. Overall, the entire experience lasts about 3 hours.

A little congratulations kiss under the falls.

This was a unique adventure on Maui. My wife and I got to see and experience spectacular vistas along with the adrenaline rush of repelling down 2 private water falls. The guides, Naomi and Jack, were fun, encouraging and informative. Not only did they make sure we were safe but they also knew tons of interesting facts about the island. It was well worth the money and avoided the usual tourist spots.

It's a drive to get to but it is a must do. My son and I had a blast. First time getting to rappel down actual waterfalls. Our guides were excellent and well experienced. The scenery is spectacular.

Super fun way to spend the morning! Our guides Elena and Shauna were knowledgeable, entertaining, and took good care of us all. Bug spray was provided, waters, and a small snack. Highly recommend.

This was one of our favorite activities we did in Maui!! Thank you Sam and Abbie for your expert instruction and guidance - you made it fun and safe for all!! I wasn't so sure about this initially, but my kids really wanted to do it. The expert instruction made us all feel comfortable right away even though most of us didn't have rappelling experience. And, the scenery is fantastic! I highly recommend this adventure to anyone that wants to do something a little bit different.

Thankfully, the weather cooperated! Be sure to wear closed-toe shoes. There's quite a bit of walking through the fields, and the ground can be uneven and dusty. My socks were covered in dirt afterward, so I definitely wouldn't recommend flip-flops. Small carton boxes of water (like school lunch sized milk cartons) were provided on the tour bus, which was appreciated, but I'd still recommend bringing your own water as well, especially if it's a warm day. Our guide was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of interesting information about pineapple farming. It's so labor intensive!! However, he spoke extremely fast, which made it difficult to follow at times. I wish he had slowed down a bit. During the tour, we sampled pineapples at different stages of ripeness, and at the end each group receives a boxed pineapple package to take home. Since there were two of us, we were given a pre-packaged box for two people. We assumed we'd be getting two pineapples similar to the ones we tasted during the tour, but when we opened the box back at our hotel, we found three very small pineapples instead. The box itself made it look like the fruit would be larger. We learned on the tour that pineapples do not continue ripening after they're harvested, so what you get is what you get in terms of sweetness. We kept 2 for ourselves and gifted the 3rd away. Unfortunately, the 2 we cut open were bland, barely sweet which was disappointing. A grocery store pineapple would've been sweeter I think. Idk if the one we gifted away was sweet or not. I hope it was b/c that'd be embarrassing considering it had the "Maui Gold" tag on the crown. One area that could use improvement is the guide's professionalism. At times, he shared stories about previous guests in a way that felt like he was making fun of questions they had asked. Hubby agreed. It left me wondering whether future tour groups would hear stories about us as well. He also shared a story about jokingly telling a guest or a group that he was gay, and then he was like, just kidding! While it may have been intended as humor, it didn't sit well with me. It felt unnecessary and in poor taste, especially considering there could have been LGBTQ+ guests on our tour. Overall, the tour was informative and enjoyable, and I appreciated the opportunity to learn more about pineapple farming. A slower-paced presentation and a more professional approach from the guide would have made the experience even better.

I took my parents for their 44th Anniversary and we all love outdoorsy activities so I knew we'd all enjoy this! We were asked to arrive at 10:30 am for the tour and it lasted until 1-1:30 pm. Arrive with good walking shoes, SPF, light sweater and hat (it can get either a little chilly or hot from the direct sunlight), and well hydrated if possible. We were greeted by our friendly and knowledgeable tourguide, Kate from Maryland! She shared with us so many facts about the locally grown produce from herbs, vegetables, fruits, to the friendly worms, to compost and facts about the Farm and the hardworking staff! It was interactive because we got to sniff the herbs, taste the locally grown lettuce, carry a chicken (as seen in the photo with my mom), and even pick the Cherry coffee! After the 2 hour tour, the last hour takes you back to this beautiful seating area in a garden like setting for your 4 course lunch! Each course, the chef comes out and shares details of each course. First course was a Medley of Greens grown on the farm with Tangerine vinaigrette. It was a generous portion for our party of 3 and tried to eat it throughout. There was spiraled carrots and radish with julienned snap peas. Second course was Pan Seared Ono (their proteins are all locally sourced) with Mamaki Tea and Lemongrass Rice with Bok Choy, Collared Greens and Cabbage. Third course was my favorite! I'm usually a big fan of fish but the chicken was so savory and that rub was delish! It was an Organic, Cage Free Chicken with Coffee Cherry Citrus rub with Caramelized Coffee Honey Hash of Carrots, Parsnips, Rutabaga and Celery Root. The spread was a Turmeric and Parsnip puree. Last course of dessert was the O'o Freshly Brewed Coffee with Milk and Simple Syrup with a Dessert Platter of Fresh sliced Pineapple, Tangerine and Apple with Homemade Chocolate Truffles. The meal left us full and nourished! What a wonderful anniversary gift to give my parents. We truly enjoyed it and even made some new friends, both local and visiting.

Overall, worthwhile experience, despite the long drive from Lahaina. I would do this again, whether it is the brunch + coffee tour or the lunch tour!
