They have gas at good prices?
    Roy R.

I've been coming to the Twin Lakes area for 8 years now with my current 2023 trip and have always been able to rely on this little general store for my last minute needs. They have a little bit of everything. And I do mean everything! From liquor and strong fresh coffee, to all your sticker needs and t-shirt desires. You'll even find sandwiches and local homemade ice cream. Of course, they also carry gas and they actually beat the Shell station on the way to Leadville. Need some camping gear? Fear not. This little general store probably has what you need. Headlamps, walking sticks, propane stoves, tent patch up kits, etc, etc. The best part is that he doesn't even go past MSRP with the prices. Try to find that anywhere in the 2 nearby towns and you'll realize these prices are awesome. The gentleman that runs it is super nice and friendly. He gripes about common stuff with a smile and his sarcasm is something to admire because of his good humor. If you are staying nearby or just passing through, make sure to swing by and give them some love. You'll get free coffee if purchase fuel. That's double the fuel if you ask me!

This is probably last chance to refill your tank and have good look at Twin Lake. I also grab few last minute gifts for Aspen and Twin lakes, then went on Mocha Trail to enjoy hiking on Twin Lake area. The view is unbelievable.

This is a go-to spot for us when visiting Twin Lakes. Why? 1) It has just about anything you could want or need! Tee shirts? Groceries? Liquor? You name it, they have it. Except for ice. Just FYI. 2) The staff is ultra-friendly and make conversation with just about every single customer. Winning! 3) Pricing is on point, despite being in the tiny little downtown area! 4) It's one of the first businesses in town to greet you - so you can't miss it! When in Twin Lakes - you must stop in!

The Twin Lakes General Store is as "Colorado Mountain Town-ey" as it gets. If this isn't part of your vacation you probably shouldn't even be sending any post cards because you missed a big one. Beer, booze, aspirin, soft serve ice cream, fishing tackle, t-shirts, maps...the list doesn't stop. By "General Store" I think they mean they have everything, generally. Whether you need fuel, are looking for a snack, or are just interested in picking up some local knowledge on the area, the Twin Lakes General Store is worth the stop.

Greatest general store Chivalrous staff, pay after you pump old fashion gas station (best part about this roadstop) , fun knicknacks, and the day I went, a most savory food cart out front... What a classic , unexpected road stop!

The pricing sometimes can be a little steeper than big chain but it's expected with a small local mom and pops. I've found some great product here in a pinch and the herbs/spices are well stocked too. Definitely so happy they are in the area, gone through a remodel with their entrance years ago and looks great!

Awesome. Great to support a local family too…read more This store is somewhat hidden but has all the specialty items you may be looking for. Candy. Drinks. Snacks. Fresh and powdered/Paz legged items and spices. They even have fresh meat, produce, fish, and vegetables. Not entirely sure on what routinely kept or what days they receive deliveries but it's a large Asian market vibe in a mini Westminster location. Very glad this place exists. Hidden behind a Starbucks and Enterprise rent a car but no issues finding a parking spot. They have eight or ten directly adjacent but unfortunately square between two speed bumps. That's a city design thing though so no reason to mark the market down for that. Prices seem fair for what you're getting. I'm sure for any specialty items you can speak to staff and have it ordered in. Or they can suggest a similar market that would have your request in stock.

Not bad, but it didn't knock my socks off like other little Italian deli's around town can and do. The big flop was the service. I was unsure where to wait to order my sandwich so I waited by the case. While there were numerous employees working behind the counter, and zero other customers in the store, nobody greeted me for an awkwardly long amount of time. Maybe 5 actual minutes passed with me standing there and multiple employees working and even looking at me and never saying anything. Finally someone asked if I needed help. Yes, I want to order a sandwich. I put in my order, and it took about 10 minutes to make the sandwich. Understandable as the meat was sliced to order, which was great. In that time, another person came into the store, grabbed a few items, and stood at the register for that same full ten minutes I waited for my sandwich. Numerous employees working around, one even said hi to her, and nobody asked to help her. I was then asked a second time if I needed help and said I was waiting for my food. The other customer, still ignored. It was awkward for both of us. Finally, when my sandwich was done, they rang me out before she was rung out, and a second employee came to ring her out, and employee who walked past her numerous times while we stood there. Just a very strange customer service experience. They have a lot of room to improve in this area. On the plus side, during my long wait I was able to get photos of the grocery area and their cases and fridges. Lots of selection on the grocery side.

I think this is the son of Mr. Valente now who runs the shop. He was so nice to work with and always make the best recommendations. Came by to pick up some homemade sausage, frozen tortellini, and mascarpone. You could get a combo now with a soda of your choice and some chips. I love that they have craft Colorado sodas as selection made with real cane sugar. The deli is clean and always feels well stocked for all the essentials. They have amazing selection of various types of cheesecake, I didn't even notice they had cookies before but ended up getting a couple cookies for dessert to pair with my homecooked sausage and peppers pasta. Make sure you get your punch card if you're getting the canolis, the sausage canolis have a special place in my heart.

I enjoy shopping for groceries and life's sustenances at a locally owned store more than anything…read more When I was driving on 38th westbound to get somewhere this AM, this store didn't escape my notice (the exterior decals on the glass window was so visible as I drove past by it.) Since I wasn't in a hurry, I made a quick turn to a side street to park my car and went to investigate. And I LOVED it. This store is in operation since 1984. People who live in this neighborhood must love it; lucky them! I have to admit though; certain things are bit pricey but what's great about this place is the fact that they do generous sales on items throughout the store. For instance, a jar of Dalmatia Quince Spread (pear flavor) was originally $6 with some change but it was on sale at the price of $3.99! I had recently run out of a fig spread so I immediately grabbed this one. There is a cafe where they can make craft coffee beverages. Not only that, there is a pizzeria, sushi section, soap/beauty section, vitamins, alcohol section etc. Although the store is not massive, it's a good size where they pretty much carry most of the daily needs (although I'm not sure about toilet paper/paper towels and stuff like that; I didn't need any of those so I simply didn't look for it.) I saw some people sitting in the cafe studying with their books and computers. There were also families with small children eating their late morning meals. It's simply a great place for any occasion was the observation I gathered. My cashier (Sean) was very pleasant to me. I forgot to bring my reusable grocery bag so he asked me if I needed a bag to which I said yes. He didn't charge me for the bag when I looked around the receipt. Thank you! I hope I'll have reasons or business up in the neighborhood soon so I can make a stop again.
