During the pandemic, they have been excellent for deliveries. The website says what items they should have in stock, and they call to let me know if something ends up being out of stock, and then ask whether I want to substitute. They have delivered on time, and been quick and pleasant to deal with. I do wish it was easier to find things on the website. If I know the name of something, the search bar works fine, but if I'm just looking for something interesting I often end up searching their whole stock. read more

Terrible staff, went in with friends and asked to see our ID's, we're all over 22 years old. The clerk Ben checked my REAL ID and proceeded to say the slight bend means it is a fake. He kept bending it to the point where he full on snapped my ID! All in front of the manager (Jake)! He never scanned once or checked out any of the ID's security features. When confronted over why they just broke a real ID they simply said "you can tape it back together and it should work fine" with absolutely no apology. Completely unacceptable, I'd recommend anyone to NOT shop here as the staff clearly do not care and management is incompetent at checking ID's. read more

I went into Twin Liquors for my mother's birthday to buy her a nice red cab, maybe even a merlot. However, I walked out with not either of those. Instead before checkout they asked who was in my car and I said my 35 year old brother. The cashier said okay well I'm gonna have to see his ID and my brother not only does not have his wallet due to a recent break in but he also didn't have his ID. Fine, understandable you can't sell to me. However I was walking out to the parking lot and see a mother walk in with her baby in the car and walks out with a big brown bag. I would NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN!!! I bought a bottle of Kahlúa, and when I went to open it for the first time I discovered it had already been opened, the seal was broken. I bought the bottle in good faith so never checked the bottle prior to purchase. When I brought the bottle back the Manager was completely unreasonable. She refused to accept that the bottle was likely opened in her store, what motive would I have to go through returning to the store? I know retail and I know she could have and should have taken the bottle back, not for resale but as damaged merchandise. We expect our merchants to work in good faith with us as we do with them. I shop here for the experience. The staff is friendly and informative. The prices are about the same compared to the neighboring Spec's but they offer great deals all the time! I regularly pop in to check out their new specials. They recently hired a guy, Scott, who really knows his wine. He can help you pick out a nice bottle or two. usual customer and love all the staff, until today! Cashier named joanna, completely rude. I was trying to buy a 12 pack of beer and a 50ml. Gave her a $20 and she says it's $56. i tried to tell her nicely that it was just a 12 pack along with a $1 mini. She got attitude with me quickly and as I told her to just take off the item, proceeded to throw my change at me along with my beer and give me the worst look possible with "wowww". I spoke to the manger and I'm hoping he takes care of it. This isn't the first time she has been like this with me. As I was leaving she shouts out to me to have the best day! LOL. I have been denied alcohol twice because my younger brother was IN THE TRUCK. I walked and was told that everyone in the vehicle needed to show ID. Last time I checked the only person who needs to show ID is the person buying alcohol. I will never shop here again and I hope you won't either. This place when it first opened up was fun the employees were cheery and helpful, and it felt comfortable to shop. Recently new employees have been hired, with almost the entire old staff gone, and the atmosphere has become awful. I feel uncomfortable to shop there. The employees stare at you the entire time as if you are a criminal. If the attitude doesn't change I think this place will go out of business with Specs a block away, which has a much better atmosphere at the moment. read more

I have always bought my alcohol from this location but after my last visit I will never be back to a twin liquors. They have poor and disrespectful customer service. I pulled up to the store and my friend saw me so she pulled up beside me and rolled down her window so I stopped and chatted for a few minutes. The second I walked into the store the man told me he needed my friends I.d also. I continued to tell him I didn't understand why I'm the only one in the store and I'm by myself. The man didn't care he was still prick and I had to literally point out we were in two different vehicles and she wasn't even outside the store anymore. Manager recommended an organic red wine, that upon opening, turned out to have notes of motor oil and burnt rubber. Presenting it to the only staff in the store, I was informed that they did not accept returns due to people leaving wine in their vehicles that they had spoiled. Really? So I am put into the same group as scammers? So are their recommendations a customers risk? Clearly they do not care about maintaining new customers. Just maintaining their greasy policy. I I like the place itself and the way they organize their drinks in the store; about the manners of people over there, I think they should communicate with their customers more and try to make them happy; silence and serious faces with eyes staring down on the ground specially when checking out just makes me feel very uncomfortable; there was one young guy with tattoos on his leg and earrings who was actually pretty cool and helpful; be more like that guy! if any of the people at Twin is reading this, please try to be more positive and informative to your costumers; just make your conversation longer and engage more; you shouldn't let your store to lose the game to Specs. I'm not a huge fan of Specs, because they are always watching you when you're just browsing. Twin Liquors has a really friendly staff, that will ask you if you need help, and then leave you to it. They don't bombard you like buzzards on roadkill. read more
