This Twin Liquors is located in the Basse shopping center, right across from H-E-B. They are in a corner spot which can be easy to miss if you are not paying attention. The store itself is really nice and they have a huge selection of spirits. They also have a really nice tasting bar right at the front of the store. The main reason why I am giving them 3 stars is because when I walked in the person that greeted me was very nice and friendly, but the moment I mentioned I was looking for THC drinks, his whole attitude changed and became pretty rude. Frankly it made me feel so uncomfortable and wanted to leave right away. However, I was there to also get something from my husband who does drink alcohol. Overall, I don't think I would come back here just for the way they treated me. I believe that whatever your drink of choice is, you should treat everyone the same. read more

I am actually quite furious with this place. I have been a staple drinker of Tullamore Dew whiskey for several years. I know what a bottle costs. I know this is also a chain store and what the prices are at other locations like the forum. So when I went in to get a bottle, imagine the level of surprised I was to find my go to whiskey was almost 20 dollars more expensive at this location than at any other location. Mind you, not just twin liquors locations, but other liquor stores that carry the same whiskey brand. It's clear this place is out to rip you off. I'm pretty sure they will try and charge you for breathing here. Staff was not helpful. When I pointed out to the staff member that the whiskey was more expensive than I'd seen previously, I was talked down to. "Well it's an imported whiskey, that's why it's more expensive." No. It is imported, but that does mot explain why it's more expensive here for some inexplicable reason. Will not spend money here again. read more

If you can have fun with one bottle o' booze, why shouldn't you have twice as much fun with two?! The best prices come when you buy your liquor in pairs. They have an extensive selection of spirits. They don't get all the distributors, and are missing a few local favorites (Ranger Creek!!!), but their selections is pretty good! They have a great wine selection, much better than the HEB next door. However, when it comes to beer, their prices are always a bit higher than HEB next door, and their selection is not as thorough. They have the major imports, and a few high end beers, but nothing wonderful. read more

I went to this store on 04/28/22. I would not say I am an experienced drinker but I know what I want. If I walk in a store and you ask me if I need help and I proceed to tell you that I do not. Why keep asking me if I need help, followed me through the store insisting on helping me. Every where I went; they went. The store was empty and me and the clerk were the only ones in the store but it seems a bit pushy. I do not want to say it was racism but following me around was weird and just kept asking if I needed help. Let's just say I wont be back. I know when I am not wanted. read more

As I write this, this location currently holds a 2.5 rating, which baffles me. The staff has always been next-level helpful in my experience, as well as knowledgeable. Their recommendations--usually of bottles cheaper than I would have purchased otherwise--have yet to disappoint. I'm happy to have this as my neighborhood liquor store. read more

Great selection, helpful service, great location (just next to HEB).

Pretty overpriced (probably because of the location). The selection was pretty basic, I did not see too many "unknown" or exceptional brands here. It really irked me that they have their bourbon and scotch stored next to a window. Some of those products probably do not get sold very quickly thus allowing sunlight coming in from the window to oxidize the liquor. You would think the staff here would be knowledgeable enough to realize that? The staff is also very haughty, even snobbish. Yes yes, I am young, but chances are I probably know just as much if not more about the products you sell. It is my college major after all... Overall I am very reluctant to return here when Northridge Liquors and Seazars are right down the road. Better selection, competitive prices, and friendly staff members keep those guys going. I like the Twin Liquors up in CStat, but these guys just do not do it for me. Do yourself a favor and give the local shops a try. read more

There is an older man with an accent, appears to be European, who is extremely rude. Forget asking him for advice, he only helps you if you're Caucasian or a single girl. We have been good customers for a while and this man, whoever he is had been discriminatory and rude. I don't know if he's the owner or thinks he is, but avoid this place!! Plenty of other liquor stores in the area. And if you're a wife sending your husband in for a wine recomendación, DO NOT send him here... Saezars Wine is just a block away, and they are friendly and actually know their wine. I will use Drizly or stop in any other liquor store before this one... no thank you!! read more

So very disappointed. I special ordered a case of wine, two weeks ago, for a party I was attending. I was promised the wine would be available within one week. Two weeks later..........no wine. I haven't written a review in over 5 years or so, but I had to notify others about the lack of customer service at this location. If you're not knowledgeable about certain products and ask for assistance, they will basically belittle you and refuse to assist you all together. There's a European man whom is completely useless and one of the rudest employees I've ever encountered. He directed me to another employee that was just as condescending as he was. I was concerned after my visit that for some reason they were just being impolite towards me only, but after reading the comments here it appears to be a common occurrence at this location. I will be avoiding Twin Liquors and take my business elsewhere since they refuse to address the same concerns and complaints others have previously had. Horrendous experience! read more

PLEASE...PLEASE....PLEASE...Do NOT Shop here...their Manger is a Total Ass....Arrogant. They are OVER PRICED. Have a much smaller selection than Total Wine or even Specs for this matter. Go to HEB instead, and if you want to drive a little bit further...go to Total Wine. the prices at Total Wine are about 25% lower and have a much larger selection and variety...I don't even know why this Company, and its Rude and Arrogant Managers even survive in this environment. read more

Customer service to the max! I needed a case of sparkling wine. And I needed them all gift-wrapped. After a disappointing experience at the TL McCreless location (review posted) I phoned the TL at Lincoln Heights. They had my sparkling in stock AND they gift-wrapped each bottle for me. After work I went over, paid and they carried it to my car. Now that's customer service I really appreciate. I'll be back. read more

I was shopping for wines for an upcoming Rehearsal Dinner (probably 3-5 cases) plus Champagnes. After being passed off from a distributor to a second salesperson, Stephen was asked to assist me and boy, I'm certainly glad he stepped up. He was very knowledgeable regarding the wines I was looking for and keeping my guidelines in mind. However, I will not return to this store for any future purchases because of the Manager. He was extremely inflexible and was not offering me any assistance whatsoever. He was curt, arrogant and rude; I almost just left my $80 sampling purchase on the counter. If Stephan hadn't been so nice and customer friendly, I would have walked out. It's my understanding that this Manager has only been there a few months....upper management might want to rethink this hire! read more
