My family has used them for years now, and I had a friend who used them in a full home remodel in Wellesley and they were great. Chris and Shawn are super knowledgeable and were able to make suggestions for the patio and deck, as well as their entire outdoor landscaping. The reason The Twin Pines Family of Companies is so great is because you have all these licensed and qualified specialists in one place and you don't have to work with multiple contractors to get a great result! Normally working with these companies is stressful and you can feel like you're being cheated but I've never felt this way working with Twin Pines. We have been customers of Twin Pines for 5 years. We had a mowing contract and used them for several others projects over the years. Recently, we requested quotes on a few projects and they never even acknowledged our requests. Now, at the end of April, they have informed us that they aren't renewing our mowing contract because we don't us them for enough other project! Huh? We have been loyal customers for years and have forgiven the intermittent bad service with landscape work and snow plowing. We called THREE WEEKS AGO for a spring cleanup and it took us calling every single day for them to confirm our appointment for today. I got home from work and they didn't do the work today. I purchased fire wood from these guys last year and it was phenomenal - delivered on time, at a decent price, and the wood was well-seasoned. This year, I ordered a cord of wood again, but it has been terribly difficult to burn. When I do get a fire hot enough (using other, dry wood) I can get this stuff to burn but it pops and hisses so it's obvious it was not seasoned well. I have called the company 3 different times now, over a period of 3 weeks or so, and I have been told twice that Jay is going to call me back. He still hasn't. read more

I would get a welcome email w/quote. I did not get it so I called Thursday April 12th, the young lady said she would get to me later that day or Friday morning. It never came I did explain I would be on vacation and the email she had I would have no access too. I waited home all week no delivery, I thought rain delay. I got back to work and there was the welcome pack. I signed immediately and return 4-23. I waited that week no delivery, so Monday I sent the below email. I still have not been contacted. Would you please contact me. Dated today 5-3-2018.... still no call or email At this point I will cancel this order, please do not deliver. Thank you for the quote which is wrong anyway I was told I needed a yard of mulch quote shows 1/2 one. Which was not the amount I was told I needed when I spoke to Andy. It's ok if you don't want my business, I know it's a smaller amount than you usually deliver that is the only reason I can see for the lack of customer service, by not returning a call after attempts have been made to get one. Which is ok but that should have been said upfront. And that would have saved me so much time, I could have had it all done by now. This all started April 10th and it's now May 3rd. Almost a month. They do a good job on your yard work but the workers are a little careless by leaving cigarette butts and forgetting to latch the gates after their work. (I have a pet.) Their prices are rather high. I complained and was promised some credit but nothing was done, even with reminders. Be careful with what is orally offered. Get it in writing. Their snowplow service did a good job and were timely, but, could be a little more careful as I have had to redo the lawn along the driveway because of snowplow blade gouges. Their bookkeeping and billing is slow and not error free. I recommend getting everything in writing and to carefully review your invoices. I have switched to another service that does excellent work for a better price. read more

I was looking to have 5 big pines taking down and 3 maple trees cut back on my property. Moe and his guys were working right around the corner. Asked him for an estimate. He came by and gave me the estimate that day. Very reasonable price. Started within a week. Moe and his crew were fantastic. Efficient and precise with taking down the pines and also giving me his professional opinion on what to cut back on the maple trees. Highly recommended these guys! Great service!!! I recently had my living room, stairway/walls leading to my upstairs, and the upstairs hallways painted by FitzCo Construction and Electric (Part of the Twin Pines Family of Companies) and I am so pleased with the finished results. The guys went above and beyond to make sure all my needs were met in a timely manner, very accommodating. They were very cautious while painting and cleanup up everything each day before they left my house. My husband and I had Twin Pines come out to repair/replace our third floor stairs. They sent out Bob and he was punctual and he kept us informed on the work throughout the project and they also cleaned up after themselves. I would definitely hire them again. read more

Warning!!! This is the worst company I've ever hired!!! We hired Twin Pines years ago to do basic landscaping. Their quality went from ok to poor to terrible. For example, at one point, they had not mowed out lawn for weeks so I called to ask why. Their answer? They had just mowed it - the grass was a foot high. This is not the main reason for the warning though. We moved away and certainly did not rehire Twin Pines. 6 years later we received a bill for more than $1700 from them claiming we had not paid all of the invoices over the 2 year period they did work for us. They showed us partially paying most bills. This was the first we had heard of unpaid bills. We do not keep records that old and our bank could not provide them, so we had no way to prove we'd paid them. Long story short, Twin Pines took us to small claims court where we saw at least a few other people who appeared to be in a similar situation. Fortunately, the magistrate found in our favor. This is at best a very poorly run company. You can do better. read more

(Landscaping gets expensive; the fact that they insist on providing a written estimate before beginning work is a testament to their desire to provide good services at a fair price.) I thought this would be a great company to hire to do some work on my house. Boy was I wrong! Nothing but headaches and very childish behavior from management. I was referred to Twin Pines through a good friend and we had complete opposite experiences. Whenever I called the office they were extremely unprofessional. They do not pick up the phone and when they do, you can barely hear them over the chatter in the background. I would never recommend their service to anyone. Perhaps they should hire a new office staff as they clearly do not know what they're doing. How difficult is it to pick up a phone?! What an embarrassment. read more

BUYER BEWARE! Twin Pines has some serious gaps in accounting, billing, and collections, and does not run an inefficient business. After paying the company about $5000 for services rendered more than 5 years ago, I received a bill indicating that I owed about $800. I no longer even lived at the property. When I challenged them to prove this amount, they brought me to small claims court for $585. Why the discrepancy? Apparently, they "found" another payment. I now know of other customers who have been contacted years later by them for outstanding balances, just because their flawed accounting system says so. Is it a scam? How often are they getting away with this tactic? I feel compelled to let others know. Even when I tried to settle out of court on my own, they were inflexible. Only after they were contacted by my lawyer, did they settle for an additional $100 after weeks of negotiations. It cost 10 times more time to get to this point. I would rather have paid my lawyer twice the amount then pay Twin Pines an extra penny. My advice, don't get involved with this company. read more

About a year ago I hired this company to fix a problem I was having in my basement with water. They charged me $4,500 to do a job I didn't think it was going to fix my problem, but this company insisted it would and my husband believed them and decided to go with it. A year has passed and I have the same problems I had before and I am $4,500 shorter than I was. I told them what I wanted to be done and they said "we need to try the cheapest option first". Sounds great, right? When the "cheapest option" will cost you that much money and NOT fix your problem. Then they tried to put some foam on the gaps around my basement entrance. Then that was when I had enough. I was wet mad. If a freaking foam would have solved my problem I would have fixed it myself. As it turns out the foam didn't help, it only made it worse. So I got a huge flood in my basemt and they said "we will go back there when we can". I told them never mind. I will NEVER ever think of this company, because they took my money and didn't fix my problem. Extremely unprofessional and I am here still facing the flood on every raining day. DON'T hire them. Warning this company did not plow us out when there was 24" of snow. Even after 4 days they did not come. We have a long drive we were there until spring shoveling it out ourselves. They never made it right and billed us for it. Now the neighbors still use them. They either park across the end of my drive blocking my egress or they park on the side walk so little children have to walk in the street. They're workers are rude and inconsiderate. read more

This is the first time we have used Twin Pines. We did not know what to expect, but hoped that they could handle the job we needed done - removal of a large pile of brush and leaves. The fact that a crew showed up the very next day was encouraging, The crew worked hard and fast, they where very professional and courteous and did a great job. We are so pleased. I would assume what could only be either an owner of or a trusted employee of Twin Pines Landscaping that chose to help my neighbor move in during the wee hours of the night. The Twin Pines truck just pulled up outside my bedroom window along with an accompanying mini van, parked and with the help of three or four men proceeded to unloaded a truck full and van full of my neighbors possessions. I understand when you have a truck and you want to help people if you can. I am all for helping people in need. But not at the expense of others.. Please remember to be considerate. Especially when you are driving a company vehicle AND it is after 1;00 in the morning. Even though you might have not been doing a landscaping job, your name is still on the side of the truck and it reflects badly upon you, your business and the quality and character of your employees. Either it is an owner or a trusted employee that had access to the truck and chose to help someone move in during the wee hours of the night in an apartment complex where others live, try to sleep and need to get up for their own jobs in the morning. read more
