And the bartender was there to help the rest of my family with recommendations/clarifications about the different cocktail offerings. All of our drinks were delicious! We didn't get any food but the menu looked interesting, for sure! My one complaint was that the service was deathly slow -- despite us being one of only two parties in the restaurant that had a bartender and a server working the floor.

Very chef-y menu and descriptions, felt like it needed a bit more restraint. I don't think every restaurant has to have a stereotypically accessible menu, and there's a place for somewhere that tries bold things executed with skill and balance but a couple of the dishes were over-complicayed and seemed ot be about showing off the skill rather than the careful balance of a small number of well chosen ingredients. Telling that the star of the show was a simple quesadilla and the hamachi collar which were probably the most simple dishes we tried. Service was good if a bit aloof. Ambience was nice. All that said, it was a very good meal, but for the price and the aspirations it was a step below perfection.

The site is clean, well-maintained and above all quiet and peaceful. The pool is just right - as are the outdoor showers and bath house. We're booked for next year and will share more photos. We have a Roadtrek Van and also set up a screen house (we call it our living room). Previously we had fires at night but it was kinda warm so we didn't indulge. Another favorite thing to do is to take our morning coffee (or our eventing cocktail) and sit on the chairs overlooking the ocean. If peaceful wooded experiences are for you, this is a great deal. Bonus in that it is close to Rockland and even Camden for even more fun.

However it's been sold out to a corporation and as it's typical they are only after the $$$. You can not pre book for the following year, and the have a season camp manager, who although very nice has no answers to anything other than call the 1-800 number. We met many ppl over the week we were here and most of them repeat travelers who agree this may be their last year due mainly to the attitude and corporate hospitality, aka none. It's a shame, this was a nice family feel and accommodating camp ground. Our family have been coming here for three generations. The campground itself is pretty much unchangeable, the amenities could be upgraded and spruced up, but we come for the feel of the grounds. The cold corporate feel it's already having is making us think twice sadly.
