So we paid $8500 to have a new 10 speed transmission put in our 2019 Ford F150 in March 2025. Move forward to May 3 2025 and 2 hrs into our 8 hr trip to Florida the truck starts acting weird and smoking. We pull over and it's throwing transmission fluid everywhere. Try calling Twins no answer on a Sat.. find someone to tow it to a garage. They won't touch it because then it voids the warranty so we are left with getting it towed back to Monroe which cost us $805. Drop it off and grab our our other vehicle and head back to FL for our cruise. Pick up the truck Monday May 12 they give no paperwork because Paul wasn't there so call today to find out exactly on what went wrong and was told a faulty seal. Beware if you get work done THEY are not responsible for a tow no matter how far you get stranded from home and if someone else fixes it your warranty is VOID. Bad business as far as I'm concerned and will never recommend them to anyone. They should have at least offered 1/2 money since we had to bring back to them. read more

They made a special accommodation for me by allowing me to pick my truck up on a Saturday (I few in from out of state). We had a rebuilt transmission installed by Twin Transmission June 2018. We had to take our car back three times for them to get it fixed ... and it was not fixed. Our car is now at Aamco in need of another rebuilt transmission. We spent $4000 for a rebuilt transmission with and now have to pay to have it fixed again for the same problem. I found them very difficult to work with, rude, condescending and incompetent. I found nothing positive with this business. BE CAREFUL PEOPLE, DO NOT GO HERE and they're NOTHING BUT TROUBLE! Here is my short story and advice. My manuel 5 speed transmission gone bad so I took it to their shop because their website offer $200 off and transmission rebuild with warranty. Here is my advice 1) The warranty only work when you have FULL transmission rebuild. For example , if your second gear mess up and you just want to fix the second gear; the warranty will not cover that at all and he said he will only give me $98 off because is not a full service. Once it's outside the shop it's your problem. 2) After your transmission fixed make sure ask them to use synthetic transmission oil because my transmission oil was leaking after 3 week later and I take it back to the shop and they said it was leaking from the engine between the transmission but not the transmission. I was like "Are your SURE it's not leaking from transmission?" I ask them because I use ROYAL PURPLE and oil is PURPLE but the oil slowly leaking is not purple. So I took my car to the dealership and the technician said it was transmission seal leaking because they damage the seal. PEOPLE make sure to use synthetic transmission oil for manuel because the oil is red so you can determent engine oil or trany oil. 3) Engine light "ON" after is fixed. if your vehicle never have any lights and engine light come on before but after they fixed your vehicle driving on the road suddenly the engine light pop out which mean they messed up wire some thing on your engine. I'm 100% sure they mess up because take it back next day and they refuse to fix it and they "reset my battery" and they said come back if any problem occur. I can't trust them any more so I have everything record on my camera and ready to take my action to my lawyer. Thankful to have found Twin Transmission! I purchased a car for my teenage son and 2 days later the transmission broke. I wasn't sure what to do, had to get the car towed ($80) to a mechanic who made me lose over $1500 to find out the car wasn't fixed. Looking online I found Twin Transmission (wish I would've known before, even their tow service is free) called and talked to Paul who gave me a reasonable quote to rebuilt the original transmission and a warranty of 18 months! I'm beyond grateful for their work, my car is a 2006 but feels like new. Paul was patient, understanding and listened to all my concerns. DO NOT GO HERE. I have had nothing but trouble with this place. Terrible communication. They never call back, or call to let you know when the vehicle is ready. When they DID call, I had someone drive me down there only to find out they were still working on it. They did not fix either of my problems, returned the car to me with an additional problem that wasn't there originally, and then would not answer my calls or return my messages afterwards. Ended up having to dispute my payment with the credit card company, then they resubmitted payment with LIES saying that they did contact me telling me to bring the car back in. Worst service ever I brought my car to get only the transmission fix and when I went to pick my car after 3 trips to the place my car start having other issues that didn't have before and also some parts from the car were missing and we still waiting for those parts. We had our Hyundai transmission repaired here. It took them over a month to fix it. They kept calling us saying it would be another few days. They also kept telling us that they couldnt figure out what the problem was. We finally got the car back and the transmission lasted just over a year. Life got busy and we missed the one year check up (required by the warranty that you also have to pay for). Biggest waste of $2000 ever this place is terrible. read more

I took in a 68 Camaro that was having transmission issues, or so I thought. They checked the transmission and found it worked fine. They then narrowed down the problem to the motor and tried several things to get it right even though this was not their primary area of expertise. When I picked it up, there was no charge because they hadn't fixed it. I certainly expected to pay something but they wouldn't take anything. I went through the causes that they suggested and found the problem. My vehicle went down back in November and I was referred to this place by a young man at a service station I took my 2003 Tahoe to get an oil change and tune up bc my vehicle was giving me issues. I ended up calling and talking to Paul, in which he appeared to be ok BUT THAT WAS A LIE! ON TOP OF MULTIPLE OTHER LIES. Before using this business, I asked him for a rough number in the most severe case PAUL told me $2200 worst case scenario. A few days later he called back stated it would be $2600. A few more days passed and he called back and said $3300 bc the vehicle had the WRONG TRANSMISSION in it. I at that point declined the repair. I was unable to pick the vehicle at that time but I kept contact with him and when I was able I took him the fees he charged me to hold the vehicle. Upon arriving to pick my vehicle up there was absolutely NO TRANSMISSION in the vehicle AT ALL! I called him to ask where MY transmission was, PAUL STATED "AROUND HERE SOMEWHERE!" Now, I MAY NOT BE THE SMARTEST PERSON IN THE WORLD BUT TO ME HE TOOK MY TRANSMISSION OUT FIXED IT AND SOLD IT TO SOMEONE ELSE AND UPON MY REQUEST FOR MY TRANSMISSION WILL NOW GIVE ME THE WRONG TRANSMISSION TO FIT HIS STORY. From my understanding the transmission can be dropped and checked WITHOUT complete removal. THERE IS NO TRANSMISSION in my vehicle AT ALL. This business picked up a running vehicle. PLEASE BE CAREFUL. If you have a vehicle here GO PICK IT UP!!!! He seems helpful and he may be to some but this experience was a NIGHTMARE!!!! I would never recommend this business to a soul!!! I hate to do this. I really do. They did work for me about 5 years ago on my 2005 Scion xB that needed a throw-out bearing replaced. They did the work, and didn't sound right so they did it again at no cost to me and I have had no problems with that vehicle 100,000 miles later. Fast forward to me buying a 2001 Toyota Tundra with a manual transmission. The clutch went. So I took it here. They charged me for the repair and a week later I was on the road. Less than two weeks later I break down. Same thing. They said it was something else this time. Fixed it. I'm almost $1800 in repairs at this point. Three days later it breaks down again. I tow it there for the third time and they keep my truck for 5 weeks 'waiting on a part ' and finally get it back. Another $300 and change. Four days later guess what? Same thing. Won't go into gear. I make them tow it to their shop on their dime and they said they put a bolt in wrong. I'm so fed up at this point I sell the truck. Now the person who bought it calls and tells me it won't come out of 3rd gear. I want to like these guys but they charged me over $2,000 and never repaired the truck. And now the new owner is screwed too. I'll never go back and won't recommend them at all. read more

This business did not fix either of the two problems that they claimed to have fixed, and they returned my car to me with a broken hood latch. They made me wait around with no phone calls multiple times while I was waiting to hear back from them, and then finally called me one time to tell me that they were finished, only to have me drive down there and find them still working on it! Excellent experience at Twin Transmission! I don't believe Brittany's review. I was quoted over $8K by Nissan to rebuild my Pathfinder transmission, timing belt and 2 catalytic converters. When I called Twin, Paul knew immediately about the problem with this particular transmission. He quoted me a price that was less than half of the Nissan dealership and also discovered that it didn't even need the timing belt replaced. My transmission was rebuilt with a 3 year warranty and I got everything done for less than $4K. Not only do they call on a timely basis, they call every YEAR for the annual inspection to maintain the warranty. I have a difficult time believing the review above that says that Twin never called. read more

Had my transmission rebuilt last year was told to come back in 1000 miles for a checkup. all was well then was told to return in 1 year for another inspection to keep my warranty valid so after one of driving with no problems went back for the 1 year inspection and was told i had to pay $125.00 for a trans service to keep warranty valid. there rebuild was only 7k miles ago and i feel the service was unnecessary. also was not told up front about this charge looks like an easy way to void the warranty. read more
