They are now called Posh & Play located 7400 BelAir Rd. What a special treat for my four year old granddaughter's birthday. I was in search of a little girl's spa treatment for a birthday gift. When I made the reservations the owner was truly accommodating to my schedule. They have special deals on the weekend no Groupon needed for savings. I had a picture in mind what I thought the space would look like. They truly blew me away with the decor. Leather pink sofa with pillows, mini chandeliers, leopard print mini high heel shoe styled chairs, and a nice girl area to dry hands and feet. there was a little glitch with scheduled appointment time but the owner was quick to fix problem. My granddaughter Jailyn was taken in the back to pick out her robe. Meanwhile staff member prepared the water for the foot soak. Jailyn was helped on to the pink butterfly chair to soak her feet. All the smiles Jailyn had was well worth the fee. Staff member engaged Jailyn in to small talk like the adult spas. When it can time to apply the chocolate scrub with sprinkles my granddaughter was all giggles and smiles. While one tech handled toes the other began her hands. While drying they do and activity of making a bracelet. My granddaughter wanted to return again. She informed me that this is what the "big girls" do. I brought my daughter and her bestie. Overall the girls had a wonderful time. The girls working there connected with them. The owner was there as well and she is very professional. I almost wish she would lighten up a little bit. The parents are waiting while the girls are catered to; manicure, chocolate facial, and glittery makeup (super cute). I do wish there were refreshments; water, pretzels....something. The area is a little bit sketchy located in a house. I wish it was just in a better area and in an actual salon. I took two of my little friends here to celebrate being a girl and loving life and giggles and everything innocent. We were greeted warmly, albeit somewhat unprofessionally. The two attendants were young girls and although not very professional (or experienced, perhaps?) they connected well with my two young friends and a good time was had by all. The decor was very girly and my little friends absolutely loved the vibes the place gave off. They were thrilled at every new experience. It took a good three hours for their pedicure, facials and dress-up/karaoke, so be prepared to wait and definitely don't arrive with an empty stomach! I wasn't offered any refreshments or even water as I waited--not sure if this was simply overlooked by the attending staff or if this is a policy. They also didn't offer anything to either of my girls so they were both very thirsty and hungry when we left. Three hours is a long time for two active girls to not have hydration or a snack, however they didn't complain during their services. Over all, we had a very good time and it was very enjoyable--my girls had lots of fun! I also want to add, that I was a Groupon customer and when I arrived for the first appointment I made, the spa was unexpectedly closed. This was a huge inconvenience and disappointment to me, I can't even say how much. However I do feel that the manager went out of her way to make it up to me in the end and applaud her for her genuine concern for her customers. In the future, I would recommend that the spa seek to improve their overall customer service quality and satisfaction and further educate their staff on these standards that the manager upholds well. read more

FINALLY spoke to someone today, who was 1) rude, and 2) placed me on "hold" (meaning she hung up on me), three times. Establishments like this won't be around long. It is a shame, because I wanted to bring my stepdaughter in for a treat, and maybe even see about holding her birthday party. But that won't happen. Twinkle twinkle little spa is a kids day spa. The inside is cute. The concept is cute. The do candy mani and pedicures, chocolate facials, kid makeovers... Employees are awful. I would not recommend this place. I had a Living Social deal to Twinkle Twinkle Little Spa for my daughter and a friend. When I called to make the appointment, I asked about adult facials. They set us up to do 2 adult facials, for myself and the other mom, and the 2 kids spa treatments together for the girls. The conversation lead me to believe that they had an adult spa, along with the kids spa. That is not the case. Our appointment was at 130. We arrived 15 minutes early. At 130, we called the numbers on the building. One was a cell phone. We let them know we were here waiting. She contacted the girls that were supposed to be working. We were told they were hungry and wanted to go to lunch so they decided to open late. As we were on the phone, 2 other kids showed up.  They had an appointment at 1:15 but received a phone call letting them know that they were running behind and pushed the appointment back 15-20 minutes. The 2 girls who went out to lunch, and the woman from the phone, showed up at 1:40. The girls who were at lunch didn't seem to care that they had us waiting outside and took their time walking up and into the building. Since they had 4 young girls already, we asked that they focus on the girls and we will skip our adult facials. We wanted the girls to go together and we didn't want them finished their treatments and waiting on us. When we said something, the employee was rude and argumentative. She said they require 24 hours advance notice for a cancelation so we would be charged. She upset my girls and the 2 other moms were taken back with her attitude. She wanted us to get our facials by taking one of the 3 ladies working away from the girls receiving spa treatments. They do not have an adult spa. They were going to have the young employees do our facials in the room that they use for the kids facials. Another 2 girls showed up at 2pm. I don't know how the 3 ladies could have done 6 kids and 2 adults at the same time. They had tv's with headphones at the nail drying table. The kids spent half the time at the tables waiting while they tried to rotate doing the other girls nails. My girls package had candy facials. 2 of the employees went in the room with them and closed the door. The 3rd employee went into a separate room with a window and played on her phone leaving 2 girls at the drying table watching TV for about 15 minutes. The employees are not fun or outgoing. They are not who you would expect working at a kids spa. My daughter and her friend said that they had fun but the ladies were not nice and they wouldn't want to go back. I'm glad I had a Living Social deal and I didn't have to pay full price. read more

I recently bought a deal from groupon to use here but redeeming it was such a horrible experience that we never even made it in to use it. I decided that $40 wasnt worth my time dealing with a bunch of seemingly uneducated people. The culture at that place seemed very unprofessional and down right suspicious. I personally wouldnt recommend this place for children due to the choice words the lady over the phone chose to use with me. This business has a great concept that im sure even my daughter would enjoy, however i do believe that they completely miss the mark with their customer service. They arent able to communicate about customer's concerns and issues without being rude and demeaning. The lady i spoke with was very combative and defensive and cut me off every chance she got, to explain how they "do things" there. She called me back to "cuss" me out because i decided to take the issue to groupon instead of going back and forth with them. To this day I still dont believe she knows what my issue is because she never bothered to listen. Today we visited their Towson location called Posh and Play Kid's Spa. I had purchased a Groupon deal and was ready to cancel it after some trouble scheduling our appointment but stuck with it and was glad that I did. The staff was very friendly and great with the kids. The decor is any little girl's dream come true! Pink and glitter everywhere! While the girls waited for their nails to dry, they sat at a little counter area with iPads and headphones and watched movies. They enjoyed chocolate facials and got glittery make up. The staff was conscious of their ages (4 year olds) and didn't put too much make up on them. After their spa treatments they were able to do some karaoke and dance on a light up stage. The whole appointment took close to 3 hours so I was glad that I had a friend with me to chat with! read more

It's been several weeks since I've purchased a package for this business. Everyday since I've called everyday and left messages so i can schedule a day for my little girl to come in. Sadly even with a voicemail stating " you will receive a call back within 24hours" , i have yet to receive one. The lack of professionalism and customer service is evident even before stepping foot into the business. I will be notifying Groupon for a refund and the BBB. I took my daughter and two of her friends to celebrate her birthday at the Belair Rd location (Posh & Play Kids Spa). They really enjoyed getting the ice cream mani and pedi and I believe that's because of the staff. The two young ladies working there were excellent with the girls they were sweet, wonderful, and professional the entire time. I will definitely bring my daughter back again for a service! The young ladies helping my daughter and niece were awesome! Their techniques were very children friendly, they talked to them and made them feel comfortable and special. This was their first time at a "spa" and they LOVED EVERY MINUTE! My daughter got compliments all night about her makeup and my niece's massage made her feel so relaxed. Both of my daughter's were given Groupons to use. The customer service was horrible. Bad experience from the beginning! First, the voicemail box was full, no one returned my calls when I was able to finally leave a message. Then I was told I couldn't use both Groupons on same day. Scheduled appointments and then when we showed up to one, no one was there. I was told there had been a scheduling error but I know I had the right day/time. Girls were disappointed. Package deal was supposed to come with a goodie bag, however I was told they ran out (even when we had appointment and knew we were coming-- you would think they would be prepared). The girls, of course, had a good time, but customer service was a nightmare! It's amazing how awful this place is run! If you're considering a kid's spa, take your kids elsewhere! read more

I had the absolute worst experience with this company. I bought a Groupon, and could not get anyone to pick up the phone. When I finally got a hold of someone it was Lance, the accountant, and he couldn't help. He also tried to call the appointment number, but no one picked up. I left several messages, and no one called me back. Ever. I gave it one more try just now, and I finally got through. She was rude, did not want to hear why I was upset, or about my experience trying to call. I told her they sucked, and I was calling Groupon. She did not care. Being the procrastinator that I am, I waited to the last minute to make an appointment for my God daughter. This was suppose to be her birthday gift. First of all, it's very difficult to get in touch with anyone at this establishment to even set up the appointment. All you get is the answering machine. And even if they promise to call back within 24 hrs they won't. It took me numerous phone calls when I somehow got lucky and someone finally answered the phone and I could set up the spa day. They acted like it wasn't hard to get a hold of them at all... Like so many others we had the Groupon, and they needed the voucher no. beforehand which I have never experienced before. I found that odd. Usually at any other place you just show the Groupon at arrival. Anyway, at the day of the spa I bring two excited little girls for their first spa day. We are hardly greeted by an unenthusiastic employee who barely spoke to us or the children, furthermore the person didn't explain what we were doing or what to expect during the appointment. She also turned up the music so loud we could hardly speak. We had purchased the Rockstar Diva Package and I had to remind her of that, and also what it included, otherwise the girls would have left with only a "manicure" and a glitter sticker! This probably would have taken 30 minutes.. if even that. It's obvious the person working didn't want to be there or wasn't sure how to handle it. When I made the appointment the woman assured me they would fix any smudges, and she told me the appointment would last 60-90 minutes. I watched one of our girls tell the employee her polish smudged but she just couldn't care less, she said something like I told you it would happen, and she didn't bother to fix it. This was my first experience with this establishment. I purchased a Living Social voucher for a mani/pedi for a child. The place seemed professional enough from their website photos and comments ect. My experience stopped short of me even bringing the child for the services and I ended up requesting a refund. The staff member I spoke with was more interested in lecturing me about their policies and talking over me rather than providing excellent customer service. I thought it best not to even bring the child in as I feared the experience would be a disappointment-maybe even traumatizing. Purchased a Groupon for my girls to have a spa day and I was never even able to talk with someone about an appointment. After three days of calling and getting the run around I cancelled the Groupon. Very unprofessional! The number on the Groupon is not the number you call to make an appointment. Then the number to make an appointment most of the time goes to a voicemail that is full. If you do get someone on the phone they are not able to help you! You need to "speak with the scheduler" who seems to never be in. Or once I was told to call back "they are too busy" to help me. I purchased a groupon for my daughter and her friend to have a fun 2 hour spa pampering experience. We didn't even get as far as scheduling an appointment because the man that answered the phone when I called to schedule the appointment was so rude. Their website says they open at 10am but when I called at 9:30 a male employee answered the phone. (some places do scheduling before and after hours or I thought maybe an answering machine might provide more information about scheduling appointments) when I asked him if I could schedule an appointment for my daughter & her friend I was shocked to hear 'No, you can not.' I expected him to continue and explain why not but after a very uncomfortable few second pause I asked him 'Why Not?' In an annoyed voice he told me that they didn't open to schedule appointments until 11am and then said I probably wouldn't be able to get a same day appointment and then I couldn't hear the rest because his phone started to short out. I am contacting Groupon for a refund as I am not even comfortable bringing two 6 year old girls to a place with such an unfriendly rude employee. From the other reviews I've read I have no doubt that I'm making the right decision. The BBB should also be made aware of this establishment that obviously has no business being in the kid business or any business for that matter. I bought a groupon for my daughter for her birthday. I left a detailed message, its been a week.... and no response. my sister in law even called and left messages at both locations and they have not called her back either. aside from calling and leaving messages we also called multiple times during their business hours to see if we had just called at a busy time.... no answer. this place looks nice online, but is in fact a joke! don't waste your time or money. now I am trying to get a refund through groupon. Place is beautiful staff is RUDE. My four year old daughter was left sitting in a chair for 15 mins. Her nails was wet. The lady that was doing my daughter's nails got up and just left. After my daughter was sitting there for 5 mins. I asked where did the young lady go. I was told she left her shift was over. So she left my daughter sitting there with wet nails. She did not even put her under the dyer. 10 more mins later another young lady came to finish up. I paid 75 dollars for the BFF package. That included 30 mins of karaoke. However it was cut short to 10 mins. They didn't give them dress up time. That also was included in the package. It was just horrible service I mean horrible!!! The house look very nice,clean, and well decorated. However the staff is HORRIBLE!!!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY DO NOT GO HERE. One of the managers did ask to give my niece and daughter cupcakes. That a customer left from another party for the horrible service. My suggest is to go to Sweet Pea Kids Spa you won't regret. read more
