Super fun winery, lots happening, lots of options. Beer options too, unfortunately they were out when we got there so we will return another time to try it. Not doing tastings currently due to COVID but will return for that, too - the ones we got glasses of were good. I also got sangria, delicious. The property is gorgeous. One downfall though - it was extremely crowded and there was NO social distancing going on. People were very intoxicated and close together. There were marks on the ground as guides for social distancing i.e. at the line for the bar but no one was abiding by them. The patio area was pretty packed. We will definitely go back at a more off-time.

Ridiculous! We drove all the way out here and it's closed. The website says it's open as well as the sign on the front door. Nobody's here and all the doors are locked. A local person says they never open on time, it's more like whenever they wake up, usually by noon. What a wasted trip. There are 3 other cars in this parking lot with other customers waiting .

The grounds are lovely, with vineyards surrounding the modern buildings and wrap-around patio area. We were able to try all of their wines at no charge prior to buying our wine for the patio. The wine was excellent, mostly French-style dry whites. Some of the grapes are grown elsewhere, which as in California, as their vineyards are still maturing. They do produce all of their wines. The service was excellent, both friendly and knowledgeable. Other details: Plenty of on-site parking. It is a smoke-free facility. No pets allowed. You can bring your own food.

Bathrooms are large and clean and are fully enclosed rooms. The staff were friendly with great recommendations for wine and things to do around the area. I suggest bringing a picnic and games. We bought snacks at the market and opened a bottle on the patio. They corked what we didn't finish. Music plays on the speaker making the perfect atmosphere to relax and enjoy the space. I do not usually like many Missouri wines. Wine tasting is usually for fun since I miss tasting trips in California. They had a couple whites that we really liked so that was a bonus! We gladly bought a bottle to share. The cost was minimal. We are already looking forward to our next visit. It's worth the drive from St Louis to spend the afternoon.

This place started out as a house that they bought at an auction to get away from the city and fish on the weekends. Poor Michelle and Kathy can't even tell you the last time they got to go fishing. This place evolved more out of necessity. Two sisters bought the place and slowly turned it into a tasting room. At first they only focused on Illinois wines, and they still only have Illinois wines. Next they added micro brews. Yesterday they had 8 different beers on tap, plus bottles of domestic beers. The food menu is limited, because they don't really have an industrial sized kitchen. They offer a cheese plate, which is very tasty. Yesterday I had the bruschetta, OMG delicious and bonus the tomatoes were grown in their own garden at the Courtyard. They have expanded the courtyard and added a room (which was originally an old barn) Next season they are going to start making their own wines. This place is nestled right on the Kaskaskia River. They are only open on the weekends Friday night through Sunday night. This time of the year, they have a fire pit going, and this is free of charge. The locals bring then wood. You will enter as a stranger but leave as a friend. This is must see place.
