What a great way to spend a Saturday! It was absolutely gorgeous out and I am so happy we spent it here. Charleville it's less than an hour away from stl, so it makes for a good drive. I had never been here before, and was told that it was recently redone- you can definitely tell! Everything is updated, super clean, aesthetic, and super sleek/ user friendly. Lots of parking outside. Good spots for tour buses/ party buses. We went inside to the bartender and gave them our cards for a bracelet. You might not have been living under a rock like myself, but the bracelet concept is totally new to me and SO cool. Your bracelet is attached to your card. You decide what you'd like to pour, tap your bracelet, and then you're charged on your tab. No waiting for bartenders or for long long lines. It was sooo cool. It's easy to pour an expensive drink though, so watch your ounces :) I got the dry white wine and loved it. They had several cocktails on draft, as well as tons of beer choices. We made our way out to the patio which was enveloped by 6ish fire pits. We made our way to one and surrounded it with a bunch of chairs. The fire pits were gas which was awesome, no attending needed. There were QR codes to scan for food. We literally got one of everything (we're a hungry bunch). My favorites were the steak bites and the goat cheese balls. Service was friendly, attentive, and wonderful. I'd come back every weekend if it was close! Loved it.

We stopped by Charleville as part of a trip to a few places in Ste Genevieve, and I was pleasantly surprised! Years back, Charleville had opened up a brewery/tasting room near downtown St Louis, which was pretty short lived. As a beer snob, I always found most of their beers to be pretty average. The location in Ste Genevieve is absolutely beautiful. Both the aesthetic of the tasting room / event spaces, and the views offered from their patio. I very much love the self serve system they use for their beers and some of their other offerings. They'll give you a bracelet, and you just scan your bracelet above the tap of what you wish to drink and they charge you buy the ounce. I can definitely see, on longer stays this could potentially lead to a pretty big bill if one isn't careful! The service was fantastic, and the staff all super friendly. My girlfriend stuck to drinking wine, and the Sunrise red she had was fantastic. The brightest spot of Charleville was the food! They offer a big menu with a wide variety. We ended up doing the poke bowl, and a charcuterie plate. The pizzas coming out all looked fantastic as well! If we find ourselves down in Ste Gen again, Charleville is definitely going to be a stop!

Stopped off for lunch with a total of here after a weekend in Ste Genevieve and absolutely loved it! It is very clean, feels high end, lots of seating and open space as well as a winery dog! Food is easy to order via QR code and it comes out fast! We ordered lots of appetizers a pizza to share amongst all of us (4 kids, 4 adults). We also had beautiful weather. The beer and some wine are all 'pour your own' off a wall- and you get charged for what you consume- much more appealing to the customer!

Beautiful views to enjoy great beer and wine. We enjoyed the unique way of using a wrist band to unlock taps to try the different beers and beverages. We left with quite a bit of beer. It was great. The food was delicious also. Very kind and helpful staff.

This place is worth the drive! Also, although the address says that it is in Saint Genevieve, it is not exactly in the city limits. It is a beautiful country drive to get to the winery so enjoy the scenery along the winding roads. When you arrive, you will find a beautiful vineyard with amazing views. My favorite wine of theirs is Chambourcin. It is a smooth dry red. Their menu offers a variety of items. I opted for the charcuterie board as my meal and our server made a much appreciated suggestion to order the small board. The small board was actually huge and I needed help finishing it. It was an incredible arrangement of fresh fruit, artisan bread, olives cheeses and meats. A friend in our group also ordered steak which was perfectly prepared to his liking. Another ordered a burger, a pizza and a salad. The food was delicious, the service was attentive and the view was beautiful. Looking forward to visiting again but until then, I will enjoy the bottles of wine that I purchased.

Covid notes- staff wears masks- no gloves. No open inside seating. No tastings which was a disappointment as I can't buy wine I am not sure I like. We in turn opted for 2 beers, a safer route. Note: they don't tell you but hang onto your glass, they are charging you a deposit on it so be sure to bring it for refills or cashing out!!! Driving in , I'm not going to lie, if I heard bangos or someone tell me I had " Purdie lips" I'd head for the hills!!! This place is out there...quite the drive, dirt roads and all but I must say worth the drive. The views from porch are beautiful!. You are in Mark Twain National Park and it is beautiful! I was shocked to see all the cars when I got there. Our beer was good but the real beauty is in the peaceful beauty of the setting

    Afternoon wine trail fun.

What a amazingly beautiful venue. Situated on a hilltop overlooking vineyards, a valley and the beginnings of the Ozark Mountains. They have a broad beer selection and tasty wines. You can do a variety of wine flights or pour your own beverage and pay by the ounce. Super fun.

We have visited Charleville Vineyard and microbrewery on a couple of occasions and have enjoyed the trip each time. They have a selection of beers offered in their tasting room. They also have wood-fired pizza and other appetizers. Their patio is nice and they have spacious grounds. They also have inside seating. We have stayed in their Bed and Breakfast as well and found it to be very comfortable and quiet.

What a view from the side porch!!!

One after we took a ride and wound up at Charleville Vineyard. It was a hot summer day, we purchased a chilled wine and sat out on their covered porch~ while sipping and enjoying the beautiful view! We sat quietly taking it all in, and relaxing while chit chatting as well.... the couple hours passed nicely and the wine could not have been more perfect for that afternoon. The wine room is "rustic lovely", while a good size as well and has many things to look at while tasting for the perfect blend to enjoy~ ( we even purchased a wooden cake platter that was handmade- Beautiful! ). We look forward to our next visit and suggest anyone who enjoys an adventure and wine to make this a trip! Don't let the gravel road turn you around- you will soon arrive and enjoy!

We had our wedding here early May and despite some frustrations, we are happy we chose the venue…read more The property is absolutely stunning, and having an all inclusive location with lodging, food, alcohol, getting ready spaces, and beautiful grounds for photos made wedding planning much easier and more convenient for us and our wedding party. That being said, we experienced several communication and organization issues throughout the planning process and wedding weekend: Early on, our tasting was difficult to schedule, and once we arrived, the chef did not seem aware we were coming or prepared with the menu options we had already selected to taste. A few weeks before the wedding, we were also informed there were only two guest suites available despite originally being shown three during our tour. This caused one set of parents to scramble for last minute lodging arrangements and an additional last minute cost. When we arrived for the wedding weekend, Joe informed us the entire kitchen staff had quit about a month prior, and he was personally trying to manage both the winery operations, the wedding, and the kitchen. Unfortunately, this seemed to show throughout the weekend. The rehearsal dinner was honestly chaotic. Guests had pre selected entrees ahead of time, but the servers did not have the list and were running around trying to figure out who ordered what (now, I will add that some of the guests could not recall their choice and that added to the issue, but this would've been resolved by the servers calling their name). The food came out cold (our rehearsal did take longer than scheduled, so this may have been part of the issue), lacked flavor, and was nothing like the quality we had experienced during normal visits to the winery. It felt very obvious there was a breakdown in communication between management and staff. At the reception, several food items we had selected were substituted without our knowledge, and both entrees were missing components that had been discussed beforehand (selected green beans, got broccoli. Salmon missing sauce. Brisket missing aujus. Pesto pasta was 100% different than the one we loved at the tasting.). We also paid extra for a cheesecake toppings bar for dessert instead of cake, but instead were served what appeared to be pre made cheesecake bites with the only warning being immediately prior to it being brought out. This was especially frustrating because New York cheesecake is already a regular menu item at the winery, so there really did not seem to be a reason for the substitution. We struggled with feeling a bit "bait & switched" on some things. (I'll add here that Joe did make the absolute BEST breakfast burritos the morning of the wedding and I'm still thinking about them!!) One additional thing worth mentioning is that sound travels extremely easily between the guest suites on the main level. We could clearly hear conversation and noise from the neighboring suite, which was not ideal for the honeymoon suite experience. (Honeymoon suite directly next to suite used for Bride's parents...) Adding some soundproofing or reconsidering the placement of guest suite next to the honeymoon suite would make a huge difference for future couples. Overall, Joe was always kind and clearly working extremely hard, but it honestly seems like he has far too much on his plate trying to manage weddings, restaurant service, and winery operations all at once. The venue desperately needs more delegation and staffing support to avoid the communication breakdowns we experienced. That said, this venue is still very new to hosting weddings and only in its second season, so we did go into it expecting there might be some growing pains along the way. The venue itself truly is beautiful and has so much potential to provide an incredible wedding experience, and I do think with more time, staffing, and organization behind the scenes, it could easily grow into an even better venue than it already is. Thank you Joe & staff for what was overall a beautiful wedding!

A bit over an hour drive from…read morehome, I'd have definitely been more upset at making this drive had we not stopped a couple other places in Ste Genevieve that offered redemption for the experience we had here. The one positive I can mention, is the people are all super nice. Sadly, everything else falls short. The wine is terrible. Not just terrible, but I think that there is something actually wrong with most of them as most are unpleasantly sour and taste of vinegar. I think they must know this too, as these wines are priced 1/2 off for a bottle on their menu. They'd do well just to cut their losses, and dump them. The Grotta Rosa, and the Cave rock were the only two wines that were palatable, and they were just okay. The oddest part of the whole experience of the Cave Vineyard, is in fact the cave. All wine is sampled, and purchased at their tasting room....which is not in the cave. The cave is simply a place that you can sit and drink, and you must either walk to it (which is only maybe a 5-7 minute walk) or they offer to take you there via golf cart. So, you must either purchase all your bottles up front to take with you, or make trips back and forth. You must also head back to the tasting room, to use the bathroom. Definitely skip this one.

Excellent visit! Only need to buy a bottle of wine to go down to the cave! The service was great!…read moreAmbiance is a little dark and cold in the cave but you can sit outside in the deck for light and warmth.
