The crispy shrimp lettuce wraps with cashew sauce...AMAZING! Pork chop was delicious and so was the crab, shrimp &!lobster bisque. I also enjoyed their Ceasar salad and loved that the dressing was different (not your usual anchovy base...thank goodness) Star of the show was definitely the pear drop martini. Highly addictive. Unfortunately, this visit missed the mark. The short rib risotto was swimming in gravy and under-seasoned, and the potstickers weren't up to their usual standard. They had much less slaw than normal, and the texture felt overcooked and tougher than expected. That said, our server, the margarita, Nightjar Old Fashioned, barbacoa quesadillas, and tempura were all excellent. What surprised me most, was walking into both the tasting room / restaurant entrance and seeing it filled with boxes and inventory. I've never seen that at a CH property before. It made for a poor first impression here, and really took away from the overall experience. It left me wondering why management hasn't found a better way to handle inventory before service or keep it out of guest-facing spaces.

Make a quick choice to head here as it was just across I70 from the hotel. Anticipated a problem as I don't/can't drink wine and it's a winery restaurant. No problem! FULL (and I mean full!) bar plus several good draught beer choices. Got seated immediately at bar where no res req'd, Lexia promptly took drink orders, gave us plenty of time to order food (no push to turn the seats on a busy night) and was very friendly while also serving a full bar. As were her associates. So service, A+. Food: wife selected a burger (several great choices there) and raved about it. Bun was exceptional as well as the meat and sides. My blackened tuna dinner choices was perfect; fresh, served sliced and arranged on top of rice covered with slaw, shaved ginger and a cream wasabi. Guess I prefer the original green style wasabi but the difference was minimal. Note: the menu was a problem: too many great choices including low calorie offers that looked like fabulous options. Price: ya get what ya pay for. No exception. But the total package although not a bargain was a great value. Highly recommend Cooper's Hawk. Well trained staff, great food and reasonable prices. Sorry, didn't think to take photos.

Management puts a lot of attention into quality of food, service, and the dining experience. One detail is the bread service and no corners are cut with delicious fresh baked bread and some type of spread that is delicious but I have no idea what it was. One reason the restaurant is so popular is the bar area where they cook the pizzas and prepare the drinks is very inviting and blends into the dining room which spills into the outdoor patio. It is a very nice layout that creates an environment of hospitality. This is the second time I've eaten in as many locations and the service has been professional and good. Management takes time to make sure the staff is well trained. Although this is a chain, management takes great care to provide a good experience for the guests and everything seems homemade.

Despite all of this activity next door, the restaurant is unaffected, both in access, parking, and view. Despite being near the highway, the view from a booth is not bad, with some rolling hills in the distance. The service was timely and attentive. We had a reservation and were seated almost immediately. The interior has a dark steakhouse feel with a lot of wood materials and the edges of whiskey barrels on the wall as decoration. A great environment to unwind, have a drink, and fully enjoy the meal. The food itself was exactly as ordered; a medium-rare ribeye with creamy risotto and broccolini. Our server was very attentive and did a great job taking care of our group. The only hiccup during the visit was timing--we arrived shortly after a busload of guests, which slowed down the kitchen a bit and led to a longer wait for our food. That said, the service remained strong throughout. For lunch, I ordered the combo with a Green Apple Cashew salad and the 1/2 World Traveler Reuben, made with house-smoked turkey, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, Thai Thousand Island, and black Russian pumpernickel. Both the salad and sandwich really hit the spot--fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. This was my eighth visit over the past three years, and I can honestly say I've never had a bad meal here. Even with the slight delay this time, the consistency in food quality and service keeps me coming back.

The mixed olives and cannellini dip appetizers weren't the star of the show but enjoyed the beef carpaccio appetizer more. Our table ordered a Mushroom + Truffle pizza with duck egg on it which was unique. Our entrees were probably the best: Lemon Ricotta Ravioli and Ricotta Gnocchi.
