I can't believe I paid $765 (plus a hefty $125 PREPAID consult fee) to have a simple layer shortened and then be told that I have to live with the way the dress looks. I've taken it somewhere else and they happily have told me it will be beautiful when they're done. I called her later that first day and said I was feeling kind of upset , and I said I wanted to come back and revisit it - there was going to be another consult fee. Isn't that part of what we pay for when you hire an Alterations person- Their time and advice? Seems she's only nice to you after she makes you feel bad, that's the only reason I can imagine for the positive reviews. PS my dress smelled like weird perfume when I picked it up (?!) so if you have an allergy to perfume you may want to let her know that! Ick. A seemingly very nice couple runs this dry cleaners, one of three or four on Caledonia street…read morealone, and they're generally cheaper than the rest, but beware: don't trust them to clean anything that you value. I did, and I regret it. I brought in seat pillow covers from my (expensive, Italian) couch. I'd had them dry cleaned twice before at other places with no problem, but when I got them back from Sausalito Bright they were damaged: covered with a faint web pattern. I pointed this out to the owner, who agreed that the problem was his "extractor" machine. The covers, he explained, were crumpled during the dirt extraction process, and the creases turned a bright white, making a webby pattern against the cream colored fabric. So far so good. The owner did not agree this was damage, however -- that word he reserved for something that was ripped or torn. In fact, the acid wash effect qualified as a cleaning, he said, because the the whiter parts were not a stain, but a rather extra clean sections! When I asked for my money back, he said that he didn't want to give it to me because customers like me were what drove hard working dry cleaners like him out of business! I just wish they had gone out of business before I made the mistake of going there....

I had a back up dress but really wanted to wear my wedding dress. I dropped off my dress 7/5 1pm & Andy had my dress finished by 7/6 1pm. I had a lot on my plate that weekend as I was stressed w my dress, had family in town that I was hosting, & I was just nervous as my wedding ceremony was coming up. With all that going on for me, Andy & Sydney made me feel so comfortable & at ease. When I tried on my dress & Andy zipped me up - and it zipped all the way up I was so relieved. My dress fit.
