In town for the weekend we ate here twice! What a great addition to this quaint town. Ample parking, clean, well-organized, beautiful decor. The owner really cares. Employees were happy & eager to please which was great at a time when everyone seems to be understaffed. The food was great. My husband had the popper stuffed omelet one day & the steak & eggs the next. I had the corned beef hash on day one, when we returned I had the Reuben because I could tell that corned beef was cooked in house and man, was it good. Best Reuben I've ever had. That says a lot in NY. I keep asking for t shirts! I wish they'd sell them ! Have to give a shout out to our waitress Ruth. She's really great!! Yeah he charges for water. It was surprising and the staff is very upfront. I'm not surprised to see all the comments about it here. The food was tasteful but our initial first time experience was not. My mother was asked by the waitress to show documentation for her service dog upon entry. This goes against ADA rules and regulations. Which is finable under that law. "Q7 of the ADA's General Rules: What questions can a covered entity's employees ask to determine if a dog is a service animal? A. In situations where it is not obvious that the dog is a service animal, staff may ask only two specific questions: (1) is the dog a service animal required because of a disability? and (2) what work or task has the dog been trained to perform? Staff are not allowed to request any documentation for the dog, require that the dog demonstrate its task, or inquire about the nature of the person's disability." Because my mother was unaware of this at that time, she showed the waitress a medical document of her disability and the requirement of a cardiac alert canine. She even humbly apologized to the waitress for being upset when my mother wasn't even in the wrong and had every right to be upset. I would like to reiterate, the nature of her disability was not offered information. A document was asked for. That is not a legal practice of businesses. It felt humiliating to have fellow patrons gawk, shake heads, and gossip about her because of the situation, which wasn't even done discreetly. With my mother's condition, she should have not had to be subjected to that embarrassment. To avoid the judgmental gazes of other customers, I asked the waitress that we be seated on the patio. Thankfully, it was peaceful there. There is a sticker on the front door of the establishment letting disabled patrons know that service dogs are permitted entry. They should not have to be put in a position where the legitimacy of their disability and trained service animal is put into question in such a manner. It is inexcusable. We would have been denied entry and the ability to order had documentation not been presented. The food was good, albeit overpriced; it's a shame that the whole experience was dampered by that initial incident at entry; leaving much to be desired. Lastly, I spent a total of $38.00 ($40.00 with a tip out of courtesy) and I wasn't offered or given a receipt during billing when I paid in cash. Poor business practices. read more

DINERS BEWARE...there is a $2 per person charge for TAP water! Food was fine but 3 of the 4 meals came out cold. We were eager to support a veteran owned business (who ironically does not offer a military discount) but after the cold food and the water surcharge, we will not return. When we questioned the owner about the water charge, he told us it's because Cornwall hits them with a big water bill. All businesses have expenses, charging for tap water is absurd. Atmosphere was nice because the place is new. The staff is friendly and polite, food on the other hand was not that great. Started off with the chicken wings which I can tell went from the freezer to the frier. I got the Chicken Marsala which came with string beans and carrots. Took my family to eat here when they were visiting and my dad thought his burger was the best burger he had ever had! Went to Twins yesterday afternoon. They advised me they are now charging for tap water. I asked the owner why? his reply, "I had to put in a new filtration system." Owner was very snarky. I walked out. The last time I ate there was around Christmas time. I had an issue with the coffee. I live in the area and go here a lot it is a very good place to eat. The staff is incredibly nice and the food is great. Me and my friend usually go and the price is usually around 40 bucks combined, but these are pretty big plates filled with food. I almost always get their breakfast from here, but my friend usually goes with chicken Marsala which he can never fully finish. read more

Family and I searched for a place to have brunch and this place came up . It was busy and when we entered we were greeted rather rudely by a woman and told they didn't know when a table would be available. When we looked around, there were two tables available inside as well as tables on the outside patio, we were discussing where else to go when a gentleman came up and said right this way (?) . We sat at that table for 26 minutes without anyone coming over , not even for a drink order ! I asked the rude woman would it be OK if we got a couple of coffees at the table . She brought two coffees and didn't ask anyone else if they wanted anything to drink. By this time I've had enough and I called the gentleman over who sat us who also happened to be the owner. I let him know what was going on and that if it was going to continue, we will just go somewhere else. He took the rest of the drink orders and food order . The food took one hour and 16 minutes. Unbelievable seeing that we only ordered breakfast food. I understand the place was busy but it's a small place and it looks like it's a husband and wife duo. The wife needs to take a few lessons on dealing with the public and having a better personality overall working at a restaurant. My family and i went to twin eating house and the women that took our order was so sweet. We got our food and we didn't like the omelette and the owner said "if the eggs were five cents like they used to be then I will take it off your bill but since inflation is so high and that's not a valid reason to take it off your bill because you didn't like the taste".
