I scheduled a tow in advance to have my car transported from my home to the Toyota dealership between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. The tow truck arrived at approximately 10:38 a.m., which I appreciated since I did not expect them to arrive so quickly. When the driver, Franko, arrived, he asked if the car would start. I explained that it would not and that it would need to be jump-started. He successfully jump-started the vehicle and then attempted to drive it onto the flatbed. However, my car's front lip was dragging on the ramp. I asked him if he had the proper ramps or extensions needed to safely load a low-clearance vehicle. He told me he only had one board because people sometimes take equipment from his truck. He then asked if I wanted him to continue driving the car onto the flatbed. I told him no because I did not want my front bumper damaged. Wanting to help resolve the situation, I contacted my apartment maintenance staff and asked if they had any extra 2x4 boards that could be used. They agreed and immediately brought them over. While we were waiting just a few minutes for maintenance to arrive, Franko stated that he could not wait any longer because they were busy and that I would need to contact my insurance company to request another tow truck. At that point, he had already begun raising the flatbed to leave. I called the phone number on the truck, and the representative told me essentially the same thing--that they were busy and could not say when they would be able to send another driver. During that phone call, my maintenance technician arrived with the 2x4 boards. Franko told me to wait while he finished his call. A few minutes later, he lowered the flatbed, used the 2x4s, and successfully loaded my vehicle onto the truck without damaging it. This demonstrated that the situation could have been resolved with just a little patience instead of threatening to leave and requiring me to arrange another tow. Before he departed, I handed Franko my car key and specifically instructed him--both verbally and by text message--to give the key directly to Chris Hazard, the manager at Toyota. I even texted him Chris Hazard's name and phone number to ensure there would be no confusion. Franko acknowledged my instructions and said, "Okay." Unfortunately, that is not what happened. While he did deliver my vehicle to the dealership, he simply handed the keys to an employee instead of asking for Chris Hazard as instructed. Because of this, I never received confirmation that my vehicle had arrived. I ultimately had to ask a friend to drive to the dealership to verify that my car had been delivered. My friend confirmed that the vehicle was there but also confirmed that Franko did not ask for the manager and simply handed the keys to a random Toyota employee. This entire experience was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. I scheduled my tow in advance, yet the driver arrived without the proper equipment to safely load my vehicle, attempted to leave rather than work through the issue, and then failed to follow my clear delivery instructions. As a customer, I should not have to deal with this level of unprofessionalism or be left worrying whether my vehicle was delivered safely because the driver chose not to follow simple instructions. I would appreciate this matter being reviewed and addressed so that future customers do not experience the same lack of preparation and professionalism. read more

very rude and unprofessional when I called dispatch at the office to find out why it's been over an hour and forty minutes after they said 35min. i have State Farm insurance and they recommend them after I had a flat tire on the side of the road. My car had a knocking noise inside the engine, got really bad since December 21st of 2022, so I did not had a good Christmas/ New years. Went to Jiffy Lube for an oil change and differential fluid change. 16 miles later we were on the side of the road needing a tow. Jiffy called Twins to come get us and Big Al showed up. Great guy and former Marine like us. He was respectful, got us off the road and to our destination quick. So glad he didn't leave us on the road like most tow guys do these days. He took great care of us. Previously I Had called AAA (member since 2009) roadside and they said 6.5 hours we would have to wait because their systems were down. I accidentally parked my car in someone else's spot . I was charged $150 to get it out and the driver went through my car went through boxes to see what I had in it and broke my driver mirror. So not only do I have petty neighbors but a dirty tow truck company . Just disgusting . Maybe you should make sure people don't have cameras and tape recorders in their car stupid . read more

I will start this with I did not use their services but I did witness a very rude, unprofessional Twin Towing and Recovery driver. Professionalism is lacking with their tow truck drivers. Driver blocked entrance to our apartment complex for a good 10 minutes before ever getting started on the tow. When people (in a line of 15+ cars trying to get out) got upset and honked he started yelling and cussing at people. Its 7:45 am and there are kids outside waiting for their buses- this tow truck blocked a handicapped bus and it could not get to the child they were picking up. The kid had to meet the bus away from his regular stop. Tow truck driver continued to yell and cuss and threaten people trying to get to work. Intentionally stopped his work and then when continued went at a snail's pace. The driver threatened a resident to which the resident responded by getting out of his vehicle. The driver then decided maybe this was not a good idea. I wouldn't mess with the resident either. This tow took far longer than it should have, the driver had a terrible attitude and subjected kids to a dangerous and potentially violent situation. read more

My spare tire would not come off and he came out and put the spare on, plugged my tire, followed me to a gas station to put air in BOTH tires, and then put the regular tire back on so I could continue my drive down to Richmond. I was assigned a tow truck from Twins Towing through my dealership last week, and I am so impressed by their services. I had the pleasure of meeting Obie - he arrived in about 45 minutes, was extremely professional and such a lifesaver. My car battery was dead and my portable charger just wasn't strong enough to jump my car. Obie was able to jump start my vehicle and he recommended me to loop my car around the neighborhood to see if I had any issues or if anything felt off. The car felt fine, but I was still a little worried that I wouldn't make it to my dealership's service center in one piece. So, Obie followed behind me in the tow truck to the dealership as I drove, just in case anything were to happen. I messed up my tire driving this morning. I was able to get it home. It looks like the tie rod. Derek came to tow my car from my house to the shop. He was very professional. He looked under the car and pointed out what is possibly the issue for me. He was very patient and was worried about my car maybe a little more than I was. Once the car was hooked up he was on his way. He texted me once he was at the shop to let me know that the car came off good and no further damage was done as my front passenger tire was rubbing the wheel well. This place needs to get more reviews! After having the worst experience with a prior company last night this company was able to help me out this morning and was very reassuring that if they can not help me they will not leave you stranded. They are a small company which are the best and they care for their customers. If you have any problems I would suggest calling them and asking for Raheem. He is very patient and is not rude unlike other large towing companies who could care less about your car or your situation. If you are like me and rely heavily on your car and find yourself stuck or in need or a tow I would not waste my time anywhere else. I hope they get the praise they deserve because they treat your car as if it was their own. read more

I found myself in a strange neighborhood, late at night, with a dead battery and a broken down car that could not be jumpstarted. What could have been a very bad experience, turned positive when my "OnStar" dealership contacted "Twins Towing & Recovery". I expected a long wait for service, but shortly after the order was placed I was contacted by a friendly, reassuring voice, who said help was on the way. I was then assured that I could take a ride home with friends and that my car would be delivered to my house shortly. That's exactly what happened. Within an hour a very friendly, professional, young man named "Obi" pulled up with my car in tow. He carefully parked it in my driveway and made sure that I was comfortable with its location before leaving. I don't think I'll ever use another towing service. This will be my first recommendation to friends with car trouble. The service I got was great. These people care about the cars there towing and the people they are assisting. I desperately need my car for work and needed my car towed ASAP as it was 8:30 pm & the station attendant would not be there after 10 to drop off my car & key. So helpful & patient with me-I was a wreck. Assured me he would be there in plenty of time, and did with time to spare. Extremely good price too, as a preschool teacher I don't have a lot of $$ to spare. This is the company to go to. I contacted our insurance company and they dispatched 2 other towing companies that cancelled. I was getting frustrated at that point, but they sent this company to me (third time's a charm?) and this guy arrived within an hour on a Saturday afternoon!! I was expecting a gruff, rude driver like most companies have but the driver that showed up was extremely nice, friendly and professional (I wish I could remember his name).
