    Chocolate Truffle Flurry - small
    Jess F.

Another local business that I wanted to love, but fell short of my expectations. I read the other reviews about less than stellar service. Thought - "how can the service be bad? It's ice cream!" Well, it proved to be true. There were 2 high-school/college-aged girls behind the counter ready to take our order. However, they appeared highly annoyed by our presence. They continually gave us the evil eye as we asked our son to wait to place his order until the rest of the family was ready. The ice cream was fine, but nothing that I'd go out of my way to try. They have various options - sundaes, cones, flurries (in a variety of combinations) as well as food (burgers, etc). Our total bill was $10 for 2 small flurries and a small cone. Typical ice cream shop prices. As mentioned in other reviews, this store only accepts cash or check. They also have a flavor-of-the-"week"; however, the only way to know the flavor is to go into the store. They do not have a FB page or website with it listed. The sign out front advertised other deals, but did not state the flavor either. Simply seems like they could do a better job of making it easier for their customers in today's age of technology.

Time to get with the program!" Well, the owners of the Twist are older and quite frankly, set in there ways.

Crumbl Cookies Blue Monster Cookie ft. CHIPS AHOY!: Crumbl rotates their flavors on a weekly basis…read morebut depending on the flavor some are absolutely amazing. Crumbl's official description is that this is a brown sugar, semi-sweet chocolate chip cookie covered in a creamy blue vanilla flavored frosting decorated with CHIPS AHOHY! cookie pieces as well as a mini-CHIPS AHOY Cookie. The only thing scary about the Blue Monster is how addicting it is. That blue frosting is incredibly thick, creamy, and monstrously sweet. I found the cookie itself had a buttery flavor and hints of chocolate from the chips, which helped to set it apart from some of their more generic (but tasty) frosted cookies. It was slightly crunchy at the periphery and soft and chewy (yay!) towards the middle. Unfortunately, the CHIPS AHOY! pieces are too small to really detect and with the mini being gone in a single bite, it's more for decoration (it made me feel like I was eating two generations of a CHIPS AHOY family though). Some cookies are too thick and doughy for my liking, but that's my personal opinion. They are ready quickly when you order in the app. Unfortunately, it's a very small waiting area so it's not a place you can hang out and eat a cookie. They want people in and out and they do serve you pretty speedily.

Absolutely horrible experience, I don't think I've had such a poor experience at a restaurant…read morebefore. Not only was the quality of the food extremely poor, the customer service was even worse. No greeting, no instructions on how to use the menu or grill (though I didn't need it as I'm a well experienced in Korean food but it's just the thought) they also ran out of stock of the main food items ordered and didn't say anything about it until asked. I'm used to authentic Korean food, and this wasn't anything near. Think extra watered down food and the sushi had lettuce in it. The worst part of all? When I brought up the concerns there wasn't one apology and instead blame and the manager went back and forth with me. Extremely unprofessional and he mentioned the food wasn't Korean food? I almost laughed at the thought. The manager offered absolutely no solution but to discount our total an offensive amount off, he suggested 10% off at first. All the food was uneaten. Edit: Since posting these reviews and being met with the replies from the owner on multiple platforms, it all just further more solidifies my review and the issues that occurred. The customer service is beyond awful and if you read the replies there is no resolution offered, just confrontation. "41 items were ordered and prepared" and left uneaten. Let that sink in on how bad the food quality has to be for that lol. Though I'm doubtful on the amount claimed regardless as another simple lie was stated saying we accepted 10% off our bill. What I don't appreciate is the blatant lies throughout their replies but I'll let their public replies speak for themselves. I would highly recommend a professional development and leadership training program.

We waited about 5 minutes so they could preheat the table grill. They have tables for really any size group. QR code menu at the table allowed us to order what we wanted, it was pretty much all covered under the $35.99/pp AYCE price, drinks excluded. Started with some apps- Japchae was OK, surprised there weren't more veggies. Tteokbokki was not spicy as described, but was so good! Cheese dogs were fun, the mustard on the outside was very good. Favorite apps by far were the beef mandu dumplings and fried shrimp! All of the bulgolgi meats were excellent- regular beef, regular pork and spicy beef! Highly recommend. Pork belly was perfect, and kalbi ribs were nice and thinly sliced with a good marinade. Salmon and shrimp were fine, but both were very plain, perhaps an option for garlic shrimp?! Sauces were a split decision at the table, two of us thought they were great, and two thought they needed more soy-based options. Had some plum soju (rice wine), the sweet was nice against some of the spicy meats. Brown sugar bubble tea was fresh, but the tapioca pearls were very hard, needed to be cooked way longer. Mai Tai was a good balance of fruity and boozy! Definitely save room for a Melona bar for dessert- they are a popular Korean dessert that is a perfect blend of ice cream and a Popsicle. The melon flavor is so good and the perfect end to the meal. Everything was very clean, service was friendly and helpful with the grill table and ordering. Would definitely come back!
