Stopped in during small business Saturday and got some amazing deals. I got a cute little tea pot to make my tea in and a bunch of loose leaf tea. It was amazing to be able to sample all the tea before I bought it. The quality and price of tea was really surprising to me. I did not expect it to be so reasonable. Very disappointing visit to Fava Tea in Appleton. I came in with 2 -40oz bags of cinnamon green tea. They don't refill the used bags due to Covid. But confused my request of cinnamon green tea with Black spice cinnamon tea. I didn't realize this until I got home the gave me the wrong tea. Clearly have no use for the black cinnamon spiced tea as I only drink the green tea for years. Not willing to work with their mistake of $158.00 I would not recommend shopping here I know I'm a supporter of local business. But not this one any more I'm taking my $300 account else where for better service. read more

I was so excited to see that Appleton has an indie tea store. I've tried a few of their seasonal teas over the winter, and their plum and cinnamon teas. The quality is very good, and they have a wide variety. The staff is very helpful and friendly. All in all, this is the best tea shop experience I've had in about seven or eight years. Also, they have plenty of samples to help you decide which teas to bring home. read more

I love this tea store! I never write reviews, but I just had to post something nice about Fava Tea since they are so good! I've been buying my tea here for several years, since they opened in their old location by the ballpark. The service has always been top notch, and I feel valued every single time I walk into the store, even when I'm just browsing. They have a fantastic selection, with many samples available so you can try lots of new teas. I love that they have the little tins out for you to see and sniff, unlike other tea stores that keep the tea behind the counter and 'waft' it at you. The prices are great, and since you can buy an ounce you're not committed to a lot of tea that you end up disliking. At any given time I have around 20 different kinds of tea in my pantry, with a few staples I keep in stock and the rest are new varieties I try on a whim. I've never gotten a tea that hasn't been fresh and tasty! The only thing I can possibly say bad about Fava Tea is sometimes when it's busy you have to wait to be helped with your tea. I'm extremely impatient, and hate to wait for anything, so I realize this is on me. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and will take the same time and care with you that they did with their previous client. It's worth the wait! Please just lock me in here for a few days so I can try everything because dammit I'm not good at making decisions when I have this many options! This place is a tea-lover's dream. Dozens upon dozens of greens, blacks, reds, whites, and herbals in any flavor you can think of. Free samples of one of each. Really reasonable prices. You can smell any of their teas from a little tin reserved just for that purpose, and they'll brew a cup of anything. The ladies working here were really friendly, helpful, and not pushy at all. I have always received exceptional service at Fava Tea. Recently was there to select teas for the "swag bags" we gave to guests of a bridal shower. It was a spa themed shower, so I wanted teas that would carry out the theme. The woman who helped me couldn't have been more helpful. She helped me pick out great teas (15 kinds) and recommended heat sealing them so they would keep better. I will definitely be back, and recommend them highly. read more

I always enjoy visiting this place whenever I'm in town. The staff is incredibly friendly and have no qualms spending 20 minutes walking around the store with me and discussing the various flavor profiles of each wine. I always pick up some variation of earl grey, and pick up a cup of whatever green or white tea is featured for the day on my way back from lunch. read more

Fava Tea, is always a favorite on my shopping list!! So many flavors to choose from. The free samples help, or just sniffing!! And always a new one to try. I can purchase as much or as little as I'd like from the friendly/helpful/knowledgeable staff. I've often received help in getting flavors for the "Teas" I've help host. I have sometimes tried other teas, but always come back to Fava. The flavor and quality are just so much better!! And I love getting the TMails, alerting me to sales. Since I gave up soda about four years ago only drink tea. Fava has the best selection of teas I have ever seen! My personal favorite includes the citron green, strawberry pie and other fantastic herbal, green, and white teas for summer, also the mango rooibus, pumpkin oolong and other flavored black teas for winter! They have samples out daily, their staff is extremely knowledgeable, they have comfortable furniture in case you want to stay and sip a cup, they never rush you, they never try to overfill your bags or upsell you. It's a very relaxing environment' I have tried other tea places and nothing compares to Fava!!! When you stop in and ask for Ruth or Danielle they are amazing and will take care of you like family! I love this store! I drink tea 3-4 times a day. The walnut green tea is my favorite at the moment. I have tried and enjoyed carrot cake, black iced, black cream, lemon chiffon, wild blueberry green and hojicha , awesome! So glad they are in the Fox Valley. read more

Excellent choice of loose teas and very helpful staff. I think it's high time the Fox Cities have a tea shop like this. From the looks of the selection, I think this shop would give just about ANY tea shop ANYWHERE a run for it's money. Some of the teas are available on the internet on their site or even from the manufature's site. The price is better at Fava though. Go into the store for the latest special or newest arrivals. This kind of tea shop could almost pursuade me to kick my coffee habit! read more

I love this store and have been going there for tea since they opened. I find the sales staff to be very low key and not pushy. I never have to ask questions other than if something contains hibiscus, and they have been able to answer that question! I have been to a couple of other stores in the Fox Valley and this store has the best selection. I love the fact that you can smell the teas in the sniffer containers, rather than having to ask someone to 'waft' the scent your way from a bin. The prices are very good, you would be hard pressed to find better prices on-line. They offer several different samples every day. I like the fact that only one or two of the samples is sweetened. A number of tea stores I have been in, not necessarily in WI, have been very snobbish. Everything is behind the counter and the store and staff are not at all welcoming. Not Fava tea, the staff is approachable, the store is welcoming and comfortable and you can smell and taste the tea freely. read more

This place does have tons of awesome teas. (I like black personally) . Every time I've went in there it's been busy but not overly. It still takes forever to check out. A few times they had 2 women working and a few times that had 3. I still waited over 15 minutes to check out. I know they have to bag the teas and measure your order almost to a T, but you'd think they'd be a little quicker. It's frustrating but I've put up with it cuz the tea selection is really good. Talk about customer no-service! My husband and I walked into Fava Tea Company interested in learning more about tea and making our first purchase. Immediately upon entry, the manager said something to the effect of 'we better know what we want, because the store was closing soon.' No friendly greeting or anything. Then, she asked in a very snotty manner if we were 'even tea drinkers.' We were so disgusted with our treatment that we abruptly turned and left. We will spend our money elsewhere. read more

Fava Tea is the only place I will buy tea. The staff is very knowledgeable. They explained which teas were helpful for weight loss and hunger control. I love that I can smell the different teas (from tins specifically for that purpose) and taste the variety of teas brewed each day. The selection and variety are amazing. Every time I visit Fava Tea I'm greeted warmly and told they are available should I have any questions. When I do, they are able to answer them for me. The TEA is beyond compare to ANY others. I suggest you stop in and once you do, you'll make it a regular stop! The tea makes great gifts and ships easily! Every person that receives Fava Tea from me ALWAYS want more. They wish they had a Fava Tea near them. staff is extremely helpful & always friendly. everyday there are new 'teas on tap' to try for every kind of tea, which lets you try teas you normally probably wouldn't try. I signed up for yelp just to write this review. That's how great Fava Tea Company is. First of all, the selection is vast. They have every type of tea represented and then some. They also have a great selection of teapots for sale. The prices are quite reasonable for the quality of the tea you get which is rivaled only by the helpfulness of the staff. This is how customer service is supposed to be done. Penny helped me during my first visit. She answered every question I had and recommended fantastic tasting teas based off of what I told her. Best of all, she wasn't pushy in the slightest and gave me ample time to look through the selection of teas. You get the sense that they exist to provide great quality tea to the Fox Valley first, and think of their profits second. This is what you get when you go to a family owned business; genuine customer service which the bigger stores can't compete with. There are also samples provided of each type of tea, and get this; they don't add sugar to the samples, and they use the amount of tea that you are directed to use on the package. It was a wonderful experience, and everything I'd want in a tea shop. Highly recommended. read more
