Casino used to refer to a building for dancing, meetings, and entertainment, hence the name. We parked in the lot and headed toward the wooden building with the curved roof. The casino building and some of the nearby buildings reminded me of buildings at Indiana Beach, and I realized these had some history to them as well. They date back to the 1920s, and it's great to see them still in use. Inside, we found a lot of seating, a curtained stage for live music, a bar, and garage doors open to the Chain O'Lakes. We both ordered the Wanna Smash Burger: two patties with American cheese, thick peppery bacon, lettuce, red onion, and their ICC sauce served with kettle potato chips ($18). I didn't really want bacon on my burger, but it turned out that this was some really fine thick bacon, hanging well outside of the boundaries of the bun, and it was delicious. The burger was good as well, the ICC sauce had a bit of sweetness to it, and all of the flavors worked well together. The access to the lake on a beautiful day makes this a great option for food and/or drinks. And they host live music, yoga, and other events well.
