I come in a day later and was handed a bill for over $120. Mr. Alan took the liberty of truing the spokes on spare part wheels(I spent $10 on them) and made a few adjustments. He did a complete tune up on my bike without my permission and had the nerve to try and charge me for it. I had given Mr. Alan clear instructions when I dropped the bike off, to replace the tires. He said he would look the bike over to see if there was anything else it may need. I stated he was to call me if any other work needs to be done before doing it. This was my first time dealing with this bike shop. He tried to feed me some line on how his customers trust his judgment on doing work without their go ahead. Mr. Allen got very snippy with me when he had to adjust the price for what he did to my bike without my permission. He grabbed my debit card out of my hand. He then hurredly rushed my bike out of the door. Against my better judgment I gave Mr. Allen a call yesterday for a quote on a noeseless bike seat. Mr. Allen stated he does not carry that item, but argued with me on the phone for ten minutes trying to pursued me to come into his shop. I informed him I was looking for a specific kind of seat for health reasons. He continued to argue that I should come in even though he does not have the item I am looking for. This shop has HORRIBLE customer service. I don't know what I was thinking when I called him after the first debacle at the shop.

They gave me a seat AND they showed me a Specialized (brand) Roll (model) with a low bar entry. I came back to buy one, but they didn't have the size I needed so they searched the other stores and found me one in their Glenside store. I wanted it before their weekly swap day, so I picked it up in Glenside. Fritz had a simple and amazing fix for my knee pain--raising the seat. I took a quick spin down the street. It was amazing! i remembered how much I enjoy riding. And. no more pain! I then took the bike back to Paoli where Sig mounted (and recommended) the "running lights" and odometer the shop sold me as well as the "basket" I bought on Amazon. He also took the initiative to fix the mottled paint job under the handlebar. THANK YOU!!! Tomorrow I am hitting the bike trail for the first time in about 20 years. I highly recommend this store. It appears that they have been expanding or perhaps merged, or perhaps we're taken over. But the dynamic has changed for sure. in addition, I took my bike in for a tuneup, and they made me come in twice, once to look it over, and then again for the actual appointment. Extremely inconvenient. This might be good for the store, but it is terrible for customers. I've taken my business down the street.

Got as far as I could, on my own, with assembly, and hit a wall. I called Wolverton's and was told to bring the bike in. I did, and that's when a positive experience with a business just made my day lighter. They showed me what I needed to know in order to unfold the bike and adjusted my seat, which I had put on. This was done quickly and very professionally. It was my pleasant experience in a bike store. This was not a very high-end bike, and no mention was made of that fact. Also, I am a novice cyclist. When I asked the cost for the excellent service provided, they answered, "None". Remarkable! This is a bike shop that stands out among its competition for their service, patience and kindness. Thank you very much.

Jim was extremely helpful! I told him what kind of trails I planned to ride, and he set me up with a bike based on my size. They made a bunch of adjustments and checked the whole thing over. He went over all of the features and gave me some tips in case I ever had to make a repair on the fly. I also decided to buy a new carrier for my truck. I was perfectly fine to install it, but Jim grabbed his tools and insisted on taking care of it. I really don't think you're going to find better service. It's been a few days since I bought the bike, and I've taken it out on 3 trails so far. The bike has worked better than any other I've owned. I could not be happier with this purchase!
