Food: When I first lined up to order, Amanda came out of the truck to talk to me and take my order. She took the time to ask what I liked and recommend what she feels I would enjoy. It's from what I'm guessing kinda like tandori chicken with bell peppers and basmati rice. The chicken was so flavorful, the rice so soft, the bell peppers and sauce was so delicious. I ordered spicy, and it was good. Not over powering yet just enough. It helped combine everything together. I was iffy about this place only because the menu seemed so simple and I was looking for straight curry flavor in my mouth. Thought since the menu seemed so healthy that they would skimp out on the sauce. So my sister orders and I end up sharing with her. She got the red chicken plate with spicy sauce. I don't remember what it's called. I just remember a bed of spinach, rice, red chicken, I think onions and the curry sauce. I've really kind of agonized over this review. First of all, the owners seem like the best type of people. I absolutely love cooking and eating Indian food and was eagerly looking forward to those flavors. I got the fish bowl which was a bed of spinach, topped with rice, topped with fish, topped with raw green bell peppers and red onions, topped with jalapeños and plain yogurt. The cook on the basmati rice perfect. The chunks of fish were lightly breaded and also cooked perfectly. Unfortunately I missed that punch of flavor I was looking for. The spinach was plain, the rice was plain, and I got a hint of Indian spice in about every fifth bite of fish. That said, this truck is accomplishing what it has set out to do. It really is geared toward people who wrap something in a tortilla and call it fusion food, or people who love to eat everything in bowl format. That's just not me. And $14.04 with tax for a fish (pretty sure tilapia) bowl is a bit on the steep side. read more

Came across Twisted Masala / Twisted Bowls at gazebo gardens this past weekend and decided we would have to give it a go. The line was long, which is always a good sign. The smell of the spices from outside in line made my mouth water with anticipation. Was greeted by a friendly lady inside the truck who took our order for garlic chicken tots. The tots were super fresh and crunchy. I could eat tots until the end of time, so we were off to a good start. The chicken, unfortunately, was extremely dry and had little flavor. We put the side sauce on the chicken and the flavor did partially bail out the chicken enough for us to eat more of it. We very well could have just made a bad choice in what we ordered.
