    Fish Tacos

wonderful as always. friendly staff and nice local atmosphere. fish tacos were delicious and so were the cheese curds. The jalapeño cheese curds didn't have a super strong jalapeño taste (which i prefer). I also appreciate having the choice between ranch and marinara. Fish tacos were filled up very well, definitely not an empty taco!

Food is mid. Overpriced for the small portions given. And once I was charged for the wrong meal, I ordered a Ruben priced at around 15$ max and was charged 25$ and when I addressed the issue I was asked did I have a drink as if a drink would be 10$!? I do not recommend if you're hungry due to small portions and the food isn't the best bbq but I'd rate it 6.5/10

Unfortunately, for Memorial Day, I did not have ribs so I wanted some ribs still the day after. I looked up the nearest place to me and Twisted Q was what came up. While waiting for my order, I asked other patrons one man and one woman if they had ever eaten there before? they said yes the man said I would love it and I will be back and the lady said that her school orders from there all the time so I was pretty confident that it might be OK. I had called ahead and ordered a half order of ribs tips with baked beans and macaroni and cheese. I'm not sure if I would recommend this place. I will admit the ribs were tender they were not burnt. They had a little fat on them, which I like, the sauce was very good. But the baked beans and the macaroni and cheese were NOT IT!! the baked beans and the macaroni and cheese were both not flavorful. The mac & cheese tasted like it came out the box and I have never liked box macaroni and cheese even as a kid. The baked beans had no flavor to them, they were kinda watery I ended up adding barbecue sauce to them. There is free parking in the back and in the front. They have a full bar side with slot machines. They have a sit down, eat area as well as TVs to watch the sports it's a quaint little bar and grill but the food that I tried so far is not that great but the ribs I will give eight out of 10. I'm always up to try stuff for a second time. I would just switch up my sides because they definitely have a big menu. I did take a photo of my food, but it didn't save unfortunately sorry.

Love this place. Their Cream of Clam soup, corn pudding and sweet apples are my favorite. I was kind of thrown off at first with the sides name sweet apples because yes they do have a couple of pieces of baked apples on top but it really is a small sweet potato pie with apples on top. But I still love it. I have tried varies entrees like the White chill, hamburger, chicken just to name a few and they all have been great. I go here often and haven't been disappointed. I always get to go but this is a nice place to dine in also, it is small with a diner kind of feel it it has a medium size bar if you don't want to sit at a table. The staff is always friendly. I recommend giving this place a try.

I would come here again specifically for the Hot & Dirty Fries paired with their refreshing Caesar salad. Mac n cheese is good too. Wouldn't order the brisket again though - not the best.

This place is a straight-up trap. Granny always said, "Roll with pigs and you get up dirty," and…read morethat saying fits this situation perfectly. I came here to support the business and walked out with my car gone. The towing setup is predatory, lightning fast, and conveniently aimed at the very customers spending money inside. Whether the owners are "aware" or pretending not to be the result is the same ...dirty and unethical business practices. You've got multiple restaurants bunched together, but suddenly they want to be "discretionary" about parking? Park one space too far to the left or right and some invisible, lurking tow vulture swoops in while you're inside grabbing food. Seriously he's sitting back in a cut "waiting". No warning. No grace. Just gone. A $240 bill from a hole-in-the-wall chicken spot is insane. Not to count the $30+ spent on the food from "Woo Woo" Ain't NO chicken and ribs worth that!! By the time I got my car back from a sketchy tow yard way out in Markham (stay alert out there), the food was trash!! Dry chicken!! Fries shriveled up!! Ordered a chicken and fish combo the fish tasted like fried brown paper towels dusted with Lawry's. If a business profits while its customers get ambushed, that tells you everything about its integrity. This is not community-focused ‍it's exploitation, plain and simple. Save your money. Save your car. You can get hot fried chicken anywhere, and Harold's sauce is sold in stores now. Never again. Just my luck trying something called "Woo Woo's" ... you'll be saying "woo woo" alright when you came with chicken money and leave $240 lighter‍ Thank God I was able to get my car back, but I thought about the mom with 6 kids who probably can't. Or the hard working father getting off work from 60 hour week and all he wanted was some hot chicken and to get home and rest and make the last dollars he got stretch it til payday again. I know everyone not as fortunate as I am and that is a reality for some, especially in that neighborhood. But make no mistake they know exactly the community they serve, and this setup is intentional exploitation. If we don't stand for something, we'll fall for anything. #Integrity

My niece and I couldn't believe this was our first visit, especially after hearing so many great things. This place is incredibly popular, so I definitely recommend making reservations. After checking in, we waited less than five minutes and struck up a fun conversation with two lovely ladies who were also first-timers. It was the perfect start to the evening. The atmosphere is warm, lively, and inviting, with Mardi Gras beads and colorful carnival masks throughout the restaurant that give it so much character. Our server was fantastic. Unfortunately, I didn't catch his name, but he was friendly, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. His recommendations made choosing from so many tempting options much easier. Now let's talk about the food... EVERYTHING was absolutely delicious! To kick things off, I ordered the Creole Voodoo Zombie, and my niece had the Hurricane. Both cocktails were fantastic and set the tone for an amazing meal. My niece is an excellent cook herself and has dietary restrictions, so dining out can often be disappointing. That's what made this experience even more special--she genuinely loved every bite. We started with the crab cake appetizer and the BBQ shrimp appetizer, and both were packed with incredible flavor. For my entrée, I ordered the blackened ribeye, swapping the broccolini for the collard greens (worth the $3 upcharge!). The steak was perfectly cooked, and those collard greens were phenomenal. My niece chose the blackened red snapper étouffée, and she couldn't stop raving about it. Even though we were completely full, we couldn't leave without dessert. We shared the Mississippi Mud Turtle Brownie topped with marshmallow fluff and the strawberry shortcake. Our server suggested pairing the brownie with a butterscotch liqueur, and I'm so glad I took his recommendation--it was the perfect finishing touch and complemented the dessert beautifully. We've been talking about this meal ever since we left...and that's probably the biggest compliment I can give. In fact, we were so impressed that we made reservations for next weekend before we even left--and we're bringing two friends with us! Perfect for: Date nights, celebrations, or anytime you want a memorable meal that's worth planning ahead for. Maple Tree Inn absolutely lived up to the hype. 10/10--highly recommend!

My last visit was when they were still on Old Western Ave in Blue Island--way overdue for a return. Let's start with the food--absolutely delicious. The three of us kicked things off with the Cast Iron Cornbread, and trust me, don't skip it. Perfectly done and a great start to the meal. For mains, we went with the Pitmaster's N'awlins Gumbo, Hickory Buttered BBQ Shrimp, and Burnt Ends. Every dish was spot on--flavorful, well-executed, and clearly made with care. The restaurant itself is pristine--clean, polished, and classy without feeling stuffy. Service was just as strong. Our server, Nick, was attentive, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Safe to say, it will NOT be another 30 years before my next visit. Highly recommend.
