I was pleasantly visiting this establishment. The customer service was very good. However let me be honest .. there is not one table or chair to sit at while waiting for your order. That needs to be changed. My rib tips were very tender not small. The sauce which is or was too much is decent. In my hopes of finding a really nice bbq this one almost makes the mark of bbq in Chicago 20 years ago. I will go back. Mainly because my daughter says the turkey tops were amazing. read more

The place was clean, empty still no where to sit while waiting for your food. Food was not good at all. I ordered a wing and tip combo, with sauce. Also a Small CATFISH... The chicken was old Looked like it was cooked in old oil. Tips was tender. But them not the Sauce had any flavor. The fish was Swai and I was very specific about A SMALL CATFISH. I go there for the turkey hot links. My biggest issue is they only give you two slices of bread for four hot links, with no warning on a sign or note or anything to let you know so that you can order two more. Generally hot links come with a slice of bread per link. They're good they cooked nice and well done, but that whole bread situation really gets under my skin, not so much because they don't give you a two but give us a warning before I get home or halfway on the north side of Chicago somewhere and I only have two slices. The food here is excellent! I ordered using DoorDash. The food was perfectly wrapped for proper delivery, and it was in tamper-safe packaging. the food was hot, and it was cooked very well. I felt like there were good portions for the price, and the BBQ sauce they used was very flavorful. I strongly recommend the tips. I would have liked there to be more seasoning rather than just allowing the BBQ sauce to do all the work. The links were NOT my favorite. I didn't try the turkey links, but the regular links were a bit dry and had a strange texture. When ordering on DoorDash, I didn't see all of their menu there. For example, there was no fish. We would love to try their fish though! Overall, it is a strong 8/10. With a little seasoning, better links, and a full menu on DoorDash, they'd be a perfect 10. I eat barbecue all over the country and this is among the best. I ordered the links which were lean (less fat) and long. Really good flavor the hot ones have a little heat but not overwhelming. The tips were great. Barbecue sauce was good. Highly recommend. read more

I am sorry to have to report this, but the truth has to be told. This place was recommended by a friend who really emphasize that the food was really good. Well....I was highly disappointed! I ordered a bucket of rib tips, turkey tips, and turkey links combo. The only thing that tasted ok was the turkey links. The rest of the items were very bad. The tips taste like they were first boiled in water then placed in a pan where barbecue sauce was lightly smothered on top of it. It was totally not what I was expecting. Plus the prices from the pictures on yelp for their menu have changed. The prices has gone up. There are other places in Chicago that is better than this place. I felt like I wasted my money. Food was good. Nice size portions for the price, I ordered 4 wings and a small rib tip and hot links. Called to place my order and it was ready within 20 minutes, as specified upon my arrival. The space is a nice size, but has no tables or chairs. Down side is: they only accept cash (which was not indicated to me when I placed my order) and the young lady was too preoccupied in her phone to notice my arrival. The gentleman who was at the pick up window was friendly and kind, the young girl definitely was not, I think I interrupted her screen time with my patronage by her tone and body language. The food is always prepared exquisitely it's tender not burnt and the flavor is to die for. I've never experienced a bad meal there the staff has always been patient and kind the wait is never long. Thumbs up for a new BBQ restaurant called Sunny's Bar B Que. I believe they recently moved from Chicago to South Holland, so it's important to supporting new local restaurants. If you've ever been to Alice's BBQ, Sunny's is a better version. The wait is exponentially shorter and they don't serve those crazy jumbo wings you'll find at Alice's. I ordered a small rib tip & and a small catfish. The BBQ sauce is great, and they give you plenty of sauce. Each order came with 2 pieces of soft fresh bread. It took approximately 30 minutes for my order to be prepared. Cons: The rib tips were tough. It tasted like the meat was actually boiled. The tips had too many bones. I had to chew & spit out the meat. It was too tough. The catfish was OK but battered. If I return, I'll try the chicken & hot links only. I had rib tips, links, and catfish. I don't eat a lot of barbecue but I enjoyed the food. Everything was seasoned well and the combo meal was enough for three people. The links were large and not overly spicy, even though that wouldn't be an issue for me. The catfish was battered and didn't seem to have cornmeal, it wasn't a problem because I like both styles. I ordered from Sunny's today and boy am I a happy camper!!! I had rib tips, hot links, and spare ribs. The rib tips were tender, meaty, and well seasoned. The hot links were spicy and delicious. The BBQ sauce was yummy with a little kick. I called in my order and it was ready when I arrived. The staff were friendly and got me in and out in no time.
