I didn't imagine this ice-cream can be this much delicious and tasty. I chose mix of chocolate and vanilla with Twix pieces. The small size was good enough to fill my heart and stomach. Good seats to enjoy watching birds and nature. Good prices for good quality ice cream

There are not a lot of places to eat in Parchment. (I consider Parchment as everything north of the township police station on the corner of Riverview and Mt. Olivet.) There's a Subway (forgettable), Geno's Pizza (belligerently inconsistent), and Renzema's Bakery (50's quaint). The soda fountain at Bellisle's is long gone, the Cornerview Cafe closed in '18, and now Scooter D's has a disturbing 'For Sale' sign posted out front. So that leaves the newest entry: Twisters, across from the public library. I see Twisters as an upgrade to Dairy Queen. The latter, the McDonald's of soft serve ice cream, is generally a 2 star affair (if you are lucky to find a clean one with decent staff). Twisters also serves soft serve ice cream, and its menu is broad and varied and is a definite improvement over Dairy Queen. This site has staff that are agreeable and work quickly. There is a drive thru but if you park and order, there is outdoor seating that is comfortable enough considering it's metal picnic tables with umbrellas. (Spilled ice cream probably just hoses off.) There's not a lot to look at but, after all, you are sitting in a reclaimed brownfield. There are a lot of ice cream options from which to choose. Recently, after spending the morning with a lawn spreader on my mom's property (because people who are looking to buy houses are always impressed with deep, luxurious lawns), we rewarded ourselves with a Twisters footlong banana split, all for $5.99. It was a decent treat. It had several bananas and four big piles of vanilla soft serve. I never find soft serve by itself as flavorful which is why I always get cones dipped in chocolate or dishes slathered with Heath Bar chips. The chocolate, strawberry, and pineapple flavorings were anemic and the whipped cream was fake. But the Maraschino cherries were as real as the Maraschino cherry tree in my backyard. But very cold and creamy aerated ice cream on a hot day tastes mighty good anyway, and the serving was huge enough to stuff two of us. I know 3 stars is an unenthusiastic recommendation. As I implied, what real competition does Twisters have?

Dat soft serve. Mmmm cappucino flavor!

I seriously haven't reviewed this place yet? Well...that ends TODAY. Twisters is soft serve only, so if you need your ice cream hand-dipped and hard-packed then proceed elsewhere. Now for the rest of us, let me tell you that Twisters has taken their soft serve game to whole 'nutha level. I've had sundaes and shakes which are all very good in their own right. However, you are doing yourself a disservice if you don't get a flurry. The amount of toppings that they mix into their flurries are just out of control. It feels like a 1-to-1 ratio of cookie dough to ice cream. And it's glorious. Same goes for any of their other mix-ins as well. I didn't think it would be possible to have a favorite flurry because they always seem pretty standard across all ice cream places. However, Twister has deliciously shown me the error of my thinking. As people like my homegirl Karissa K. have pointed out, there is only outdoor seating so take that into consideration. On the other hand, if you are in a hurry you can roll through their Drive Thru window and get your Twist on mobile-style.

This is how they do not adhere to the governor's mandate during the pandemic.

We recently stumbled upon this High Dive Kitchen and Bar - what a nice surprise!!…read more We've been in twice in two weeks and have found this spot cozy, super friendly, and very delicious!! Great menu with lots of variety! Great drink menu! Everything we've tried has been great!! This spot is definitely worth a stop! (If only the downtown parking situation wasn't such a beast! But High Dive is worth the feat of finding a nearby spot!) I highly recommend the wings - some of the best we've had in town!! We love doing half and half: lemon pepper and sweet heat with the ranch and blue cheese! Their fries are also way good!! Regular or their truffle style!! The bleu berry salad is my favorite entree, paired with the steak it's an absolute slay!!! It will keep me coming back!

Instead, we had to endure a staff that not only was rude, but willfully neglectful. She had only one other table and, yet, our server, Katlyn, never checked with us unless we forced her to acknowledge us. She avoided eye contact at all costs. Ten minutes with empty drinks and we finally got her attention. My wife asked for another beer and she ran off before I could even ask for another of my drink! The dinner was terrible. My wife's Blackened Bleu Steak ($32) was so bad that she took two bites and set it aside. The food was overcooked and salty. My Olive Cheese Smash Burger ($16) was the same. When we called for the check, the waitress did not even question that the food was nearly untouched on our plates. There are so many great restaurants in the area. Save yourself the hellacious experience of the HighDive Kitchen + Bar.

600 is such a cute place for a lovely meal!…read more We have been multiple times but stopped in on a recent sunny afternoon for some lunch. 600 is so light and airy, we really love the atmosphere!! We had a really great waitress, I wish I would have gotten her name! She was doing the job of hostess and waitress to multiple tables, and doing it all very well! We ordered a chicken sandwich and a salad for our lunch entrees! Both were very good and presented very well! While the food is good and quality feels high - the price is also on the high side. For a sandwich and a salad, waters to drink, we spent over $50 for our lunch! Just something to be aware of! While we had time - the experience was not fast. Something to be aware of if needing a quick lunch. The restaurant was not overly busy but the wait was a little long to receive our order. I ordered a salmon salad - the menu nor the website specify if the salmon is wild caught or farmed. I would really love to know this information - the price would be much better reflected if it were indeed wild caught. :)

The service was on the slower side and could have used more attention to detail--coffee refills were missed, and we didn't have spoons to stir our coffee. That said, our server was kind and had a gentle, pleasant demeanor. The food overall was very good. Only one person in our group was disappointed--the chicken and waffles were described as dry, with the chicken coating lacking flavor. Everyone else enjoyed their meals, and the desserts were a standout; they were excellent and loved by all. One area that could use improvement is the upstairs bathroom. While it was well stocked with supplies, it needed cleaning. Clear signage for the upstairs restroom and perhaps a nice piece of artwork would also be welcome touches. Overall, a nice brunch experience with great desserts and room for a few improvements.
