The wife and I had a late lunch here and it was pretty good. We have been here before and they never disappoint. My wife had the shrimp tacos and they were fine but the beans stole the show. They were very tasty and well seasoned. It was Tuesday so I had the all you can eat tacos. I had 2 soft shell chicken and 1 hard shell beef and they were pretty good. I also had the house margarita which was damn good. The service was great and the bathrooms pretty clean. All in all I recommend this place
Stopped by on a Friday night while headed back home from a trip. We sat outside and the weather was beautiful. We ordered two orders of birria tacos and two orders of skillet tacos. Both were extremely tasty. Birria tacos were some of the best we have had albeit over $20. Skillet tacos were more reasonable and had steak, guacamole, pico de gallo, and fresh cilantro all sitting in melted chihuahua cheese. Service however was a bit off. Main issue was that that we asked for corn tortillas and got flour. Took a while for our waitress to check on us so our skillet tacos started getting cold. Was exasperated by the fact of them not immediately bringing the right thing but that she got a manager, who didn't speak with us, but who instead then found the man who brought our order out and brought him to the table to show him that he brought the wrong thing. Not sure if it was a training opportunity or what but only after then did they finally bring the right thing. Tacos still tasted ok but were lukewarm by the time we finally were able to eat them.

Sunday was a lot more quiet overall I did enjoy the food there the drinks I'm not sure what happened but definitely gave me a headache don't think I will be doing that again, but I will go back for the food. They were really quick and paid attention to my needs and they checked on me frequently.i do love an establishment that more of the staff checks on you frequently not just your server
This was the perfect spot to celebrate Cinco De Mayo. But we actually came a couple of days before the actual day, and it was alright because the celebrations had already begun. Now, the waitress did tell us there would be a mechanical bull on the actual day. But, hey, we were having so much fun anyway that missing the exact day was alright with us. Now, I will tell you to bring your dance shoes because Hacienda is a very lively place, with music playing throughout. I promise you will want to go salsa dancing after dinner. This time, I liked that the menu was huge, offering whatever my heart desired. We tried different dishes, and each dish oozed with lots of authentic Mexican flavor. The sides were just as good; I love my black beans, salsa dips, and more. It's always nice when you come across true, authentic Mexican food in Georgia.
The main drag in McDonough is a once-a-quarter trip for me, usually to make a stop at the nearby JCPenney (cheap t-shirts!). My typical snack on those days is the Freddy's Steakburgers, in the frontage of that same plaza. Not this time! My kids are thankfully good eaters, and they will gladly scarf some Mex and Tex-Mex when they can get it. Hacienda is centrally located to all of that other shopping stuff - all pretty close together. First thing to notice is the decor. Honestly, many spots in this genre can be pretty lazy with the visual interest. Random sombreros on the walls, that kind of stuff. Hacienda is beyond beautiful on the inside. I spotted some really lovely paintings, lamps, streamers. The dining room is super fun and well-designed. For lunch, I ordered a nice plate of the Hacienda tacos, which are a street-style recipe featuring chicken/chorizo (corn tortillas, onions, cilantro). I think the tortillas were very high quality, considering that corn can get mushy if not served immediately. Meat was salty and flavorful. The table salsas were both quite good, and served with fresh chips. I love fresh chips, and they can be tough to get. No out-of-a-bag chips here. Service was quick and accommodating. I am to understand that Hacienda is a local chain, and growing quite a bit. I'm not surprised considering the quality of the food. Altogether very pleasant and I will go again next time I'm in town.
I am editing my review from 7 months ago. Overall, my rating has dropped to a 4. I've been going frequently & noticed the drinks aren't as good & the food is about the same, it's okay. I've tried several margaritas & they just aren't that good. The regular flavor isn't good & the drinks are also lacking in alcohol, unless you order the Don Julio Repo margarita. To add a flavor, like mango or strawberry, it's an upcharge. Honestly, the added flavor may be necessary to give the margarita some taste to it. Also, I think different servers prepare the $14 tableside guacamole differently. The first time the presentation was great! The last time (and I do mean last time, bcuz I'm not ordering it again), the young lady did a blah job at presentation (see new photo) & didn't bring out the chips with it. I had to ask for them. Do better, Hacienda!
First time visiting, the service was average. It took over 5 mins for someone to visit and give us water. Th ambiance was nice. The disappointing part was this was the most bland Mexican food I've ever had. It was also not Mexican or Tex mex it was just American Mexican none of the flavors were authentic. I ordered the carne asada with birria egg rolls. The presentation of the food was perfect. There's ample parking in the parking lot.

I really enjoyed myself here. I came with my parents since I was staying with them for the week and we had a lovely time. It's really beautiful on the inside. It has very modern decorations and is overall really inviting. My mom also noted that she really liked the inside and it just had a very uplifting feel to it. Our server was also really nice and attentive. She came around frequently to check on us and anything that we asked for she was able to fulfill whatever request we had. I got the triple berry margarita and it was so cute presentation wise. It came in such a cute glass and the drink was good as well and I got a little buzz. My food was also good. I will say it wasn't great, but it was good and they also gave us these extra salsas that were really spicy and that definitely took the food to the next level so I overall enjoyed my meal. My dad and I already said that we definitely want to come back here for sure and I definitely recommend it to people in this area.
Stumbled on this establishment while charging our vehicle at a nearby EV station. Very vibrant and energetic as you enter- very much in keeping with the Mexican theme. Although we were ordering to-go, the staff was extremely friendly and even accommodating. Victor, an employee saw me pointing to a garnish at the bar and he offered it to us to sample, unprompted. The bartender, Carol, was also very patient as I couldn't figure out what I wanted to order. I got a simple fish taco. It was okay. The menu is very extensive so if I'm in the area again, I would love to try something more adventurous on the menu and definitely have one of their signature drinks!

Hacienda Bar & Grill in McDonough, GA (near Atlanta) completely exceeded my expectations! From the moment I walked in, I was hooked. The dim lighting, smooth saxophone music, and laidback back atmosphere created the perfect date-night vibe--even though I was just there to enjoy myself. The service was exceptional. I barely had time to settle into my seat before my order was taken, my drink arrived in record time, and it was delivered by the cutest little robot! Such a fun and unexpected touch that made the experience even more memorable. I wish I could remember the name of my cocktail because it was flirty, refreshing, smooth, and dangerously delicious. One sip, and I was sold! I ordered the beef enchiladas. They leaned a little salty for my taste, but they were still flavorful and satisfying. Overall, the atmosphere, service, and unique experience made this a place I'd happily visit again. If I'm ever back in the area, Hacienda Bar & Grill will definitely be on my list! read more

Hacienda Bar & Grill did not disappoint on my second experience there. Walked in on Friday the 13th and was immediately seated. The Swirl margarita was just what I needed after a long week. I had 2 and I'm still nice a few hours later. 10/10 would recommend. We had table side guac, would go back for just that. My friends had steak and shrimp fajitas, a chicken quesadilla and I had a chicken tamale. All delicious, give these folks a try if you're in the McDonough area. read more

Never again! Ordered Camarones A La Diabla $19.99 and Shrimp Taco $17.99 dinners plus drinks $20. Waited 45 minutes for our food. The Camarones A La Diabla was okay, warm, not hot, Shrimp Tacos were horrible. Shrimp were fried so hard you couldn't bite them and they were cold. We didn't complain after waiting over 40 minutes for our food. Ate part of it and paid the bill plus tip. They were unconcerned and unapologetic. We don't usually complain and we didn't but we will not be back and will not recommend. read more

If you are in Mcdonough and would like to hear some great music, eat good food and have a great drink here's your place. Hacienda feels like a club without a dance floor. They often have a in-house DJ and you can always listen to music while dining here. Prices are decent and service is quick. read more

Traveling thru the area we stopped here for some lunch. Restaurant was found to be clean and severs were very friendly. Menu items seemed pretty pricey for lunch, but it was a Saturday. I ordered the seafood enchilada's and thought it had decent flavor but, it was pretty soupy. Manager was very polite and made sure we were doing okay. East access from and to the freeway read more

This is one of my top 5 best Mexican in Georgia for Mexican food . They have the best flavors I've tasted, and they have great and efficient service and they have the robot now that deliver drinks, and they always got their own musician who do table to table performance and its always a vibe, and they got a mascot now, too. read more
All I can say is this place has nothing but great vibes and great food. When I arrived here this place was absolutely packed. People were coming and going this place plays Latin music. I was doing a to-go order, I was instructed to go the bar to order. The bartender was doing two jobs:being a bartender & taking to-go orders. Since this place was packed so I had to wait a minute for my order to be ready. I noticed he was pretty good at making a mean margarita folks came to the bar requesting this bartender. I got the three birria tacos with rice. In the to-go order had complimentary chips and salsa, my rice & the three birria tacos. I will say the three birria tacos was super feeling & had such a great taste. Some people like to add lime to their tacos but it was good as is. This my first time even though I shop in this area all the time. The food was great. Theres a lot of corn in there items. I had the salmon salad and my sister had the birria. We cleared our plates! Portions are just right and service is accomodating and pleasant. I highly recommend when you are in the area. read more

Went here on Thursday night to hang out and watch the football game. We sat at the bar to get drinks and food. The Texas margarita was good but the organic margarita was not, it was too sweet. We ordered tacos which came out fairly quickly, but when we asked the bartender to put the NFL game on the tv she couldn't she couldn't. We asked if maybe someone else could do it but she said no. I understood then why the bar was fairly empty. Needless to say we ate our food and left to watch the game somewhere else. The restaurant and bar area was nice with good decor but didn't really enjoy it ask we left quickly. read more
Our server Jose was amazing. He gave me some good options and did not disappoint. A lot of different drinks and they are brought to your table by a robot which is pretty cool. Overall I think the food and drinks are fairly priced and I do think you get a good bit of food. Our food came out really quick. It was amazing service. I would definitely come back. It's nice to see McDonough get more restaurant options read more
