11.02.2024 Sandie V I hired "Two Brothers Painting Co." to paint my kitchen, which entailed quite a bit of fine detail work. I also needed some carpentry work done, and I was fortunate because they employ their own carpenters. After the in-person consultation, the office staff provided me with a detailed and inclusive estimate which was very fair. The carpenters, Frank and Brian, arrived on the stated date and performed their part of the assignment quickly and flawlessly. Two weeks later, the painters, Andrew and Jose, arrived as stated n the contract. I can't say enough about the perfectionism of this duo. I had many cabinets and moldings requiring fine, detailed work. I've had a tremendous amount of work done in my home in the past, but their work was unparalleled. I was impressed with Andrew's building of an enclosed plastic room within my house to sand and spray the cabinets. There was never any dust or mess at the end of the day. It was honestly amazing. My cabinets are silky and look brand new. I pretty much knew what colors I wanted to use, but "Two Brothers" provides a color specialist who did make a house call. She gave me some good ideas, and if you don't know what colors to choose, she'd be great for someone who was undecided. Andrew and Jose completed my entire kitchen and back entry quickly and to perfection. Not only were they superb as painters, they were polite, unobtrusive and easy to work with. How often do you sincerely feel that 5 stars isn't a high enough review to give a contractor? In this case, it's true. We called Two Brothers to get a quote on painting a bedroom (including a loft, etc). Because of professionalism and thoroughness of the quote, we asked for another to spray-wash our cedar tiles and paint the trim on the exterior. Every single day they were here we could not stop talking about 1/ what an incredible job they were doing, 2/ how tidy and respectful of our property they were and 3/ what great pride they took in everything they did. Add to it they were a fun group of people and what more can you ask for? Our home exterior looks brand new and they did NOT miss a beat. We have a lot of odd angles that I thought surely they wouldn't be able to reach or would just figure 'who will ever see it'...nope, every single spot on the house was meticulously covered. They replaced a lot of trim and make certain everything they had to remove was put back in place. They cleaned up after themselves so thoroughly every day! I've done a lot of home projects over the years these guys rate first in our books. You will not go wrong hiring this company. In fact, we've hired them again to paint a couple of bathrooms! And let me not forget the women in the office who helped coordinate everything...Lisa and Mary were on it from the moment we said 'yes' to the final bill. This is the second time in 10 years we had Two Brothers paint our home. I cannot say enough about them. The team consisting of Rex, and two Justins, and Zack and Barbara, for a short time were terrific. They worked hard, made sure all was done to our satisfaction (which it definately was). Stay away from this company. They sub out work to unqualified people without supervising the work. Caused more damage to our home than cost of contract. painted the entire home with latex paint on top of oil base paint without any priming preparation. All the paint just peeled right off. The owner, Dan, says this is acceptable to him. RI Contracctors Board had to be engaged to resolve the issue of damages. Will advise the outcome by the end oif this month. read more

Two Brothers painted most of the interior of our house recently. They did a beautiful job and the painters were great guys. Their attention to detail and neat work paid off. With two small children (not to mention the dogs and cats), we really appreciated that they went out of their way to avoid inconveniencing us as much as possible. I expected to be tripping over ladders and paint cans for days, but instead they tried their best to put everything back where it needed to be each day and their own stuff out of the way. Dan did our estimate and he was really professional and thorough. He clearly loves his work! Two nice extras: Two Brothers offered a discount if we were willing to have the work done in the winter months, which was great for our tight budget. It was worth the wait, the house looks great. They also offered a free color consult with Sherwin Williams. We wanted to paint a lot of rooms, so it was a bit overwhelming. There are many great things I can say about my experience with this local company, I had several rooms in my home painted since I had originally tried myself and failed. Cant thank the 2 painters enough for their hard work and friendly service, they took everything I consulted with them about and transformed my rooms into what I was dreaming of. I also have a few friends that have used them since and were also very impressed , and plan on using them in the summer for the exterior of their homes along with the power washing of their decks. We met Dan after getting quotes from two other painting companies. We hired Two Brothers because they were available sooner and Dan seemed to be an honest guy. It was an interior painting job, and it took longer than they expected, but they stayed to complete it. Dan checked in a few times, but generally the head painter was good about communicating with me and getting the work done. Overall, the painters were polite, professional, and friendly. Total interior paint job on a single family rental home. Highly professional, very competent. 5 stars because they finished on time, on budget, even with me throwing a few changes to the original plan on the them during the job. Highly, highly recommend them. My in depth review: Two Brothers did a fantastic job on my rental house. My rental unit is a nice home in Newport that I recently bought, it needed fresh paint throughout the entire interior, walls, trim, and cielings. You can go on their Facebook page and their handiwork on my home, I just posted the pics. ***After making the decision to hire them, I dug deeper online and found a couple of negative reviews from a few years back- it concerned me, but realized you need to take those reviews with a grain of salt, some people are very unfair. Regardless, I stuck with them and I have zero regrets, they did a fantastic job on my house and I am very happy customer, I highly recommend them, disregard those negative reviews*** Selecting/Bidding process: I interviewed about 5 different contractors to get quotes. Dan Woolford came over to the house within a day or two and gave me a quote on the spot and stuck to it! I was impressed by his confidence, he told me at that meeting that they do good work and that "I will really like what they do", and he was right, in the end I am very very happy with their work. I ended up going with Dan because of his confidence and professionalism. His price was not the lowest, but it wasn't the highest either. In have zero regrets going with them. Starting the Job: Dan originally told me he could get to work on a specific date in December, he then pushed it back a week, which I was concerned about because I wanted to get the house on the rental market. He understood my concerns, was apologetic for the snag. He assured me he could get to work a week later, and we would still finish on time. He ended up showing up a little earlier than the amended date, and he still finished on time. He had John and Walter do the work, John was the lead guy. They showed up bright and early on day 1 and got cracking. During the Job: I was actually on site most days the painters were there because I was doing some carpentry work in the house. I got along great with John and Walter, those two had this system where they just cranked out the painting job in a very efficient manner. They had all the right equipment, all the right tools to do the job, and did a fantastic job throughout. I had a tongue and groove ceiling in one of the rooms that was wood stained, and I wanted it white, so they sprayed a shellack that ended up turning out fantastic. I made a few modifications to colors during the job which John and crew handled without any issue. One of the days, John came down to where i was working and asked me to double check the paint color in the master bedroom. He had painted a small section of the wall and though the color was a bit dark, so he grabbed me so I could determine if the color I selected was what I actually wanted (it was dark, it looked brighter on the color swatch). Johns intuition proved right, I thought it was way too dark. I asked him for recommendations, he suggested I check out this color called Greige, it's like a light gray that's really popular right now, I checked it out, thought it would look fantastic, so we switched, and I'm glad we did, the color came out awesome, so thanks John! On their second to last day I made another change where I decided to have them paint the kitchen, which was not part of the original quote. On the spot john said no problem, we adjusted the price, and no issues, they cranked that out in no time, and I'm glad we made the change. I am very proud of their work, the house is great. After: Dan came back to take a look at the house about a week after the job was complete, i was satisfied so I paid him the final installment of the job. They are adamant about ensuring I was happy with the job and were willing to come back afterwords in the event touchups were needed, which they weren't. I am pretty sure they would do that without charge. All in all, I am very, very happy with their work, the home is now perfect, I highly recommend them and will use them for all my future painting needs. Two Brothers painted my home 4 years ago and did a fantastic job. We put our house on the market to sell but I needed all the high trim to be cleaned and painted. Tom and Pete arrived early and worked without break through the early afternoon and did a FABULOUS job of both cleaning the mildew and adding a fresh coat of trim paint. This company is incredibly professional, does a great job, and truly cares about the finished project. Dan, one of the owners, took the time to come to my house, twice, to see what needed painting. Due to a moisture concern on one part of the house, Dan came out a second time to be sure his first analysis was correct and discuss how he was going to handle it. He gave us a very reasonable quote for the job. His crew, Gabby, John, and Matt (John seemed to be the supervisor) were on time every day and even showed up one morning when it was lightly drizzling, hoping to be able to work. I was impressed. As they were working on the house, I asked for at least three more things to be painted or fixed (they also do construction) and they were terrific about it. "No problem ... we can do that." Of course we were charged for the extra work, but again, the price was very reasonable especially considering I probably kept them a day or two longer than they had anticipated. We have already hired them for our next project! I can't imagine that "Barry R.", who wrote another review is talking about the same company! This company is top notch! read more
