We used TBT to complete a bathroom remodel we managed and they failed to do a good job. They not only had poor craftsman ship they had employees show up who were subcontractors that harassed our client. The subcontractor that they claimed to be there employee Left a mess and continued to harass our customer further. They bring unsafe individuals into your home and do an awful job. Bad communication and management on their part. Please stay away from this business. They will not come fix your project bad review or not. It has been 8 months now and they have not made things right. We reported to CSLB. read more

I am posting this as I am not very happy with a situation that happened on the job at my house. My General Contractor who has done a very good job bringing in other contractors (the painters were great, drywall guys..stellar...) let me know that his usual tile guy was otherwise booked so he had been referred to Nils from Two Brothers tile. I was skeptical, however we needed someone for tile as I had originally asked my father (who has done tile in the past) but due to travel and COVID could not come out. When Nils came into the house he reviewed the project and indicated that I needed to go and buy Schluter. ( I think 8 of them) I had no idea what that was or all entailed nor would I know what that would be like. He then said that my grout and mortar was not good/or he would not use it, he needed to use what he would buy. I thought, well if he went out and is buying the grout and mortar you like, why are you not getting the Schluter too since I would not know what to get. I discussed with the GC and he agreed. Nils went and got these items. Nils then also went and subcontracted the job to another subcontractor. both of them would smoke and argue loudly and frequently outside my house. The Sub contractor Eric(?) then would apologize to me about the arguing. I had to ask my GC to ask them to please smoke and talk outside of the property as I didn't want my kids to hear them cursing. The job, which should have taken 5 days, lasted almost 2 weeks. During which I was interrupted at my work multiple times, causing me to lose time and customers. Also, Nils had me pick up additional tile that Eric said we needed, and then it ended up that we did not need both boxes of tile. It cost me time and money to get the tile, and then they charged me a restocking fee. all in all, Nils and two brothers tile had originally left a mess, complained about cleaning up, complained about picking up tile so that I (who have 2 herniated disks in my back and have surgery scheduled had to go and do it)... And afterwards, Eric then texted me complaining that Nils shorted him. then Nils texted me asking if I had paid my GC yet as he had not been paid. I cannot stress how unprofessional all of this has been. On top of the smoking, cursing, almost fighting, terrible mess that they had to be made to clean up and then my GC's guys cleaned up, and then even after that.... I had to clean up... then the cost associated with the time overage, the loss of time at work for me. The cost associated with having to push the project out into the holidays.... and to top this ALL off ... contacting me - all of them...asking for money. and then lastly the subcontractor, asking me out. I cannot stress how unprofessional it has all been and predatory. I would never recommend Two Brothers Tile, and that's just on a professional level. On a workmanship level, the work that was done had to be corrected 2 times. I would be embarrassed if I were part of that company. This experience was nothing less than a travesty. read more

I hired Two Brothers Tile to remodel a shower in a guest unit and had such a great experience, Nils did a beautiful job on it. He had a demo team come out and remove the old shower. Then a hot mop specialist built the pan and sealed it and he installed waterproofing felt on the walls. The building inspector approved this and then Nils installed the walls, doing extensive work to make them all straight and plumb. After this passed inspection, he finished floating the dam and then installed the tiles, including a shower niche which he carefully aligned the cuts on the tiles around so it looked great. Nils is really a craftsman, he's so skilled at his trade, and also is a great communicator, super responsive to texts and questions I had. He's also honest, dependable, and always on time, very rare in the construction industry. I can't recommend him highly enough. My shower looks beautiful now and is watertight and built to last. Also the review mentioning they don't have a license is a lie, Nils is licensed and I verified this on the California Contractors license lookup myself. read more
