We came back because our last experience was so good. This timebqe had a cheeseburger with grilled onions which was out of this world. Excellent meat quality. The chicken pot pie was like a homeade version, full of meat and veggies and not salty. Shrimp Dejonghe was delicious even though I am allergic, LOL. I only had 1. We were in the area and remembered that Two Chefs was down the street. We have emotional ties to this restaurant because they catered our wedding in 2011 and we were very impressed with their food. The waitress greeted us at the door and was very professional, polite, and well dressed. My husband ordered the chicken pot pie, it was very flavorful. The chicken was very tender and the crust was flaky like you would expect. I ordered the 1/2 chicken with mashed potatoes and broccoli it was so delicious and brought back memories. Thank goodness I had a giftcard because this food is lower quality than what you can get a concession stand. If I could give negative stars, I would. We ordered the chicken pot pie, chili, cheeseburger, and wings. Where to begin with this?! There were literally only 4 cold dried out buffalo chicken wings in the container and they were $8. That is insane. The cheeseburger was obviously previously frozen, stale bun, and came with very sad toppings. The fries were absolutely disgusting. The chili was okay. I make way better chili at home myself. The chicken pot pie didn't taste homemade either and tasted like it was a frozen meal. I don't know if this is their standard food or if it was because a smaller event was going on, but this food and the prices for it was highly unacceptable. I would be embarrassed to sell and serve this kind of food. I have never had such an awful experience. I won't be back and I definitely would NOT reccomend this place to anyone. read more

I went to 2 chefs on a Saturday at 6pm. The sign on the door said the practice social distancing which was good. But as soon as we walked in, the bartender lady we've never met gave my wife a big hug. Came here late one night and it was completely emptied, which worried me, but it was a weekday. Food: Patty melt with sweet potato fries, this was really good. Fresh off the grill and well seasoned. Coconut shrimp has to be some of the best I've had, very coconutty. Skirt steak skewers, not worth $1.50/piece Service wasn't that great. Our waitress was on top of our food and drinks order, but once everything came out she didn't check up on us for awhile. When we asked for the bill she promptly gave it to us, but disappear and never came back to charge our card. So I tried this place to kill some time while my son was at hockey practice. I am so happy I did. Gina, the bartender on Thursday, is really cute , with a smoken bod. The drink prices were very reasonable, and a decent crowd for Thursday. On Saturday I came here, and the two bartenders were sweet hearts. I think the one was Russian, so think Brigitte Neilsen in Rocky IV before she got fat and started doing Snoop Dog. The Quesadillas were awesome. They gave me 6 slices with some dirty rice... totally exceeded my expectations. And get this, the owner came up and introduced himself to me. Super nice guy. And offered to bring me out some to try the rigatoni with vodka sauce. It was amazing. With spinach and Parmesan.... yummm!! I recommend coming to two chefs. My sister came from chicago, I came from carol stream to have their buffet. We saw advertisements on billboards and on their website When we walked in,their specials board also said Buffet 11 to 2. After being seated we were informed they stopped serving the buffet weeks ago. We ended up having bob's hamburger (very greasy). Manger never came over to talk to us. In the past, I have always used Two Chefs to cater special events and the quality of the food and service was always excellent. Something must be going on this year, because I have tried for a week to place a catering order for Thanksgiving and service has been non-existent. The first time I called on a Tuesday, the phone rang forever and then went to voice mail. I left my name and number and interest in catering. No one returned my call. I called back on Thursday and spoke with Bob, who wasn't interested in taking my order-but I gave it to him anyway. He didn't even ask how many servings I needed! He said he would give the message to the person in charge of catering & that she would send me an email confirming the order the next day. Needless to say, I have not received a confirmation or call from the restaurant, so I ordered my Thanksgiving meal elsewhere. They have lost a good customer over this poor service. Just had a late lunch at Two Chefs in downtown Bensenville ...The place has a great feel about it ... The decor of the place is awesome and there are many video poker machines to play ... I had my choice of seating and chose the bar area ... The bartender who was very nice took my order ...The beer I ordered was cold and fresh as I listened to the good music playing in the background and waited for my order ... About 15 mins. or so later I was served a 1/2 pound sirloin cheeseburger with grilled onions and crispy fries and trimmings .... This meal was served hot off the grille ..not like other places that serve meals luke warm ... The quality and taste of my food order was second to none .. cooked exactly how I ordered it ...The service from the staff was great .. Last week we went to Green Street Grille for dinner because even though anything that was good there is not on the menu anymore, they have the best french onion soup. Turns out, they don't serve it anymore, go figure. So, I called Two Chef's to see what kind of soup they had and if they served french onion. The owner told me not tonight, but we can make it for you. Now, that is what I call great service! We hadn't ordered anything yet at Green Street so we just went right over to Two Chef's. They serve frozen banquet fried chicken. Literally, the same stuff you can get at Jewel in the freezer aisle. I ordered a fried chicken dinner and it was a half chicken (out of the Banquet fried chicken box) served with boxed mashed potatoes and canned gravy. I will never return. read more

We came here because we used a gift card and a coupon, but I must say I would definitely not come back unless I was in a similar situation of being able to come away without paying much. First of all, the service was very sub-par. Our waitress apparently didn't write down our soup and salad choices because she had to come back to check what we all had asked for. It seemed as if waitressing was the last thing in the world she wanted to be doing -- it was easily noticeable that she was in a sour mood, which doesn't help when you are trying to enjoy a meal. The prices didn't seem too bad at first glance, but when we got our food, not one of the four of us was impressed. In all, we ordered the Stuffed Mushrooms appetizer, the Chicken Piccata, Stuffed Flounder, Shrimp and Scallops Stir-Fry, and I had the Cajun Catfish. Each of the entrees came with some fluffy rice, and all but the stir-fry included green beans, the vegetable of the day. The prices were mostly between 10 and 15 dollars or so but for the quality of the food, I felt like I was eating $8-10 dishes. The Stuffed Flounder wasn't actually stuffed, wasn't very fresh, and it came slathered in an odd sort of gravy. My catfish was seasoned okay; but it also wasn't very fresh. The bite or two I had of the stir-fry was actually pretty good - it's something I'd recommend ordering. The rice and green beans weren't very flavorful. There aren't really any vegetarian options. The ambiance was okay, nothing spectacular. Overall, I'd recommend to order the stir-fry and sit outside on the patio (if you don't mind trains). I might consider going back for drinks at the bar at some point, but other than that, I'd say to go elsewhere. read more

If I cared enough to get her name, I probably would have mentioned it to manager on duty. -- the "bar" area was not only loud in volume (the music was so loud, my friends and I couldn't even stand in the foyer and say good bye to each other) but there were two patrons who were so extremely drunk, they were literally stumbling around the dining room area of the restaurant. One patron was actually holding the other one up. It was appalling. If the bar could be separated from the restaurant and they could get better waitstaff (friendlier and with more of a personality) then I probably would have given this place 4 stars and recommended it but until that happens - go to one of the numerous other restaurants in the Elk Grove Village / Wood Dale area. read more

Attended a baby shower there on Sat. 04/11/2015. The food and service was fantastic!! You were greeted by the experienced waitstaff with trays of mimosa's. :) The entire room was beautifully set up with a buffet table that extended the length of the room. The green bean, artichoke and fresh mushroom salad was tossed with a great tasting creamy homemade french dressing! The rigatoni in vodka sauce was outstanding!! The thicker roast beef slices were complimented well with the roasted potatoes along with the seasonal medley of fresh vegetables. I will definitely be back very soon!!
