    Loaded Mac & Cheese

We went to Short Fuse Brewing while in town for a business meeting and it was just OK. It was a very nice industrial style building with plenty of seating. I ordered the loaded mac and cheese and it came out fairly cold and was pretty much run of the mill Mac and cheese with some chicken and bacon on top. They do have a nice selection of beers which was definitely the highlight, but they could have been served a bit colder. Service was acceptable.

Great diverse beer selection. Food is delicious. Can't wait to add this to our list of regular spots when we move to town. Huge seating area with lots of bar seating

Large open space, perfect for groups. I love the massive art on the walls. Great sized portions, nice for sharing. Food was fresh. I got a Ginger Ale that was flat and didn't have much flavor, but other than that everything was great. Our bartender and the food runners were attentive and quick!

Before a concert at Rosemont, we stopped by for an appetizer and a drink. The 5 oz beer for me was perfect, a dark stout of peanut butter flavored beer. What a treat, as i do love a good fusion. We were greeted and were able to sit wherever so we did. A high top table near the doors and a little bit of heat was what was needed on this cold night. We also had the fried pickles and although I do enjoy good pickles, I am not a fan of the spears fried as they tend to break up att he first bite. Still a good flavor and I was happy with the taste. I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't crowded but the cold weather I'm sure played a part. I will be returning next time I go for a concert again as it's only a few minutes away.

    Old fashion.

Appetizers of Nacho Libre were really good and it's really big. Fried pickles were good. Be careful they are quarter sliced pickles fried. But still good. The burgers and chicken were great. Hang over burger was fantastic. I'd pick the beer battered onion rings over the fries or the Elote. The drinks were good banana milk (wife had) was good and they made a good classic old fashion. Service is by Mark was fantastic! Pretty cool location. Pretty peaceful during a Sunday lunch. I'd be back again.

Great food, great beer. Enormous portions and as far as bbq goes this is place stacks up well to other good bbq places. Setup inside is clean and open, with a long bar, tables, not crowded with what looked like games in the back. Took a little while to get served but overall was a good experience

Checked out this pretty cool brewery in Schiller Park that was bigger and better than expected. It has a ton of beers to choose from along with food. Short Fuse is located on River Road not far from all the stuff in Rosemont. Located next to the haunted house. This is a fast bus ride from the Blue Line station. After going in and checking out the merchandise, we got seats at the bar. It's a bigger place than expected. They apparently have been around for awhile now, so they have come up with all kinds of beer styles. A lot to choose from. It's $5 a pint at happy hour. That's one of the best values you can get for beer as good as this. Best one we had was the Vocal Jam. This is a sour and was the 2021 GABF Silver Medal winner. Food is also a winner, and we got some of it. There's stuff such as burgers and pizza. It's $12 for the B.Y.O. Burger. They also have the Incredible Patty for a plant based experience. A lot of the rest of the menu has barbecue. There's pork sandwiches that are popular. Great place to hit up if close to O'Hare or Rosemont and looking for lots of beers and something to eat. It has a ton of good stuff to choose from. There's an impressive amount of beers, and there's food options for meat eaters and vegetarians.

The beer is awesome! Highly recommend getting a flight! Good service especially at the bar. The food is good too! Have ate here probably 10+ times. They have barbecue and bar food. The wings are awesome! The ribs the past 2 times ordered them were a bit dry; so might stay away from them. Unless you sauce them up real good.

Special: Texas Rodeo! with sweet potato tots.

Came for dinner and drinks some 7pm on a Thursday night (before checking out the Haunted House 13th Floor Chicago nearby). First, loved the art and overall vibe and how open and modern the taproom space is. It's very inviting and comfortable - perfect for a quiet spot at the bar watching TV or a fun group outing at a table. Secondly, the beer flights (7 5oz pours) are an amazing deal with 20+ delicious beers on tap - really can't go wrong there! - and the food was delicious and impressive. Service was chill and alright - a bit slow several times - hence the 4/5 instead of full stars. But, nothing too terrible, just something noted. For food we had the dangerously filling but delicious appetizer Smoked Bacon Candy (thick cut smoked pork belly glazed in maple syrup, brown sugar, cayenne); Texas Rodeo (this meaty monstrosity of a sandwich on Texas Toast was phenomenal!); and a perfectly light and crunchy Thai Salad with lightly blackened Shrimp and great sesame ginger dressing. Portions are huge and definitely perfect to share between two - fantastic value and again, super delicious. The beers were all so good I'm not even going to get into them - go try them yourself! Highly recommend a visit if you're in the area for a fantastic lunch or dinner.

What an amazing and eclectic beer selection! It's possible to order up to seven samples in their sampler tray. And they are legit pours. 5 ounces each. I wasn't disappointed with any of my choices and ranged from IPA, to wheat, to sour, porter, and even Oktoberfest. Delighted with flavor profiles on all but one. Descriptions are on point. All menu viewing is done via a QR code on the table. The menu is quite extensive. We received a burrito by mistake. We had ordered the taquitos. They gave us the burrito any way. It came with three little dipping cups (guac, sour cream, salsa) and what appeared to be homemade tortilla chips that were super tasty. I cut the burrito in half thinking I could have a few bites and then it wouldn't all go to waste. And it was so delicious I ended up eating nearly the whole thing. It was SO TASTY. Good spice. Great bean to meat to tortilla ratio. Lots of cool artwork throughout. Super large space. No Brewery tours.

Holy stroke of genius! Why didn't I think of this? Crap…read more It was my friend's 28th birthday and she was growing tired of the same ol club scene. Honestly, me too. I was thinking about blowing her off if she was going to tell me to meet her at a club, possibly would have flipped out on her. Luckily, she saved herself by finding this cool idea. So she purchased tickets and rounded up the troops. Some of us were beer aficionados, some not. Never fret, they had something for everyone. There is this cool party bus that seats about 14 and they play cool music. They were setting the stage perfectly for a Brew Bus tour. The tour began at Goose Island where we met Kevin and Chris. Two of the most beer educated and friendly guys you could ever meet. It was so refreshing to see the founders of that company taking time out to run the tour and interact with patrons of Chicago Brew Bus Tours. I can only wish for that type of customer service in other places. The Brew Bus took us to Moonshine and Haymarket. We had the pleasure to take tours of the various brewing facilities and how each special blend is made. It's really awesome to drink the actual beer as you see it being made; you appreciate beer that much more. The facilities the beer was being made was so advanced and complex...I am glad I left it to the Brew Bus staff to school me on it whilst I drank. The best part of the tours was the tastings afterwards. I have been to wine tours before and had little sips of wines here and there. This was totally different. LOTS of BEER, FREQUENTLY. I like the words beer and frequently in the same sentence. Sounds good, aye? The Brew bus tour is genius because you can still keep your friends together without having to worry about designated drivers and such. Chicago Brew Bus takes care of it all. In Summary, Awesome trip, awesome owners/tour guides, cool bus, cool music, great tasting beer, and memories with friends that will last a lifetime. My friends and I are already recommending this place to others and I extend that to you. You will have a ball. I came out of that tour knowing much more about crafting brews and loving beer even though I wasn't too much of a beer gal. The tickets are super reasonable which is a godsend in this town. Well worth the money for the good times alone. Can't wait to do it again with a different set of friends. Cheers Chicago Brew Bus!

We started at Goose Island, then went to Haymarke Brewery next and ended at Moonshine. Each place was unique and fun in its own way. And the quality of beer at each was top-notch..or so my boyfriend said. I'm not much of a beer drinker, but even I found a few that I truly enjoyed (the pumpkin ale at Goose Island, for one). The tour guides also set me up with a beer cocktail and a mojito, free of charge, knowing I wasn't a huge fan of beer. The tour guides couldn't have been nicer. They were incredibly friendly and laid-back, and had a significant amount of knowledge about beer. They shared some history of Chicago brewing in between breweries. Fun facts - not boring babble. We toured the brewing process at Haymarket and also ordered food there. But even if you don't to get food, they stock the bus with chips so you can refuel in beween stops. Awesome. I HIGHLY recommend this tour. It's fun to do as a couple or with a group of friends. We ended up meeting some pretty awesome people in the process, too, which is always fun in a big city. This tour has everything you want, and nothing you don't. We even stayed an extra hour at the last place, since we were the last tour of the day, and wanted to order more the beers we sampled.
