We had our reception at the gorgeous Ainsworth House & Gardens. Two Chicks came HIGHLY recommended and we now see why. The staff is amazing, so attentive and managed everything so professionally. There was PLENTY of food, GOOD food! Our guests were so impressed as were we. We had them manage our bar and cake too, and they did a fantastic job. They spent time with us via email, phone, AND in person just to be sure that every detail was managed. They were so considerate to make special (very special) entrees for our guests with dietary limitations too. I can't say enough good about them. Well where do I start. From the get go everything was very off. The phone consult was off putting but I figured maybe she was having an off day or something weird so I went through with the "tasting" if you can even call it that. You will not be tasting what you want at your event, first red flag. I did not want anything even similar to bbq but apparently that was all I was allowed to taste because they had made some that day. Were we tasting part of another clients order on their dime? Probably. Complimented the bbq sauce, was told it's STORE BAUGHT and they just add to it. She was extremely rude, talking down to myself, my Fiance, and our 2 friends that joined (clearly was not okay even though I said I would have friends joining) my Fiance asked how they ensure the chicken (we wanted a chicken option) was not dry and she told us "sometimes chicken is just dry". Told us our guests that drank alcohol would all be carded and watched very closely like children. I wanted to have my own table decor to match everything else, hard no from her. This was the worst experience EVER. I could do a better job for a fraction of the cost. Even if you are on a hard budget do yourself a favor and just do the food yourself, you'll do a better job. read more

The good,the bad and the ugly. The good... Nice people and good to work with. Bacon wrapped dates, cup cakes and fruit tarts were great! The bad... Macaroni and cheese was pretty dry and not at all creamy, and it was served upon arrival so it wasn't me! The coleslaw was bland, almost like they forgot the dressing. The ranch dip was like water, we had to add 1/2 jar of mayo to thicken it up! The ugly... While it was good, it was not great. I think I way over paid. I could have gotten the same quality at a store and saved hundreds. When I paid online, a week before my event, it asked for a tip! I felt obligated as I wanted my product right. Its like ordering coffee from Starbucks. They want a tip for doing their job, before I know it's any good, and they didn't have to serve me. My bill was $570. Of course your options are 15%, 20%, etc... I gave them an $80 tip going in blind. The hit of the party was the pulled pork that I made myself!!! Again nice people, good service. Vicki and her team were exceptional! She worked with me to get enough food (both appetizers as well as a main course) for my fairly large wedding and still fit with in my budget. We also got ice tea and lemonade with different flavors for people who did not want beer. The food was delicious and the service was fantastic. We did buffet style but they still helped serve as well as picking up all the dirty dishes. 100% would recommend. read more

A rare jewel in the catering business! They were ON TIME! The food was AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS and I could hardly believe the GENEROUS PORTIONS! Two Chicks & a Rooster catered our wedding at Aurora Colony Vineyards, and they were excellent. We did a cocktail hour and the appetizer assortment which was wonderful-- the stuff mushrooms were amazing- so many of my family members commented that those were their favorite thing. For dinner we did the tri-tip w/ mashed potatoes and Mac n Cheese, and salad, there was plenty of food, and the tri-tip was better the next day. They sent us home w/ a lovely "to go" kit which we devoured when we got home, it was a nice treat to end our special day. Our wedding was all that we hoped for, Vicki and her team are great. I had Two Chicks & a Rooster cater my wedding and overall it was a good experience. Vicki (the head "chick") supported with communication and menu item selection. The service we received at the wedding was great, they served our guests, bussed the tables, and decorated the food tables to compliment the wedding décor. Some guests enjoyed the food and others enjoyed it less; portions appeared equal, but some plates had more of certain ingredients (e.g., my father had a lot of sauce on his first piece of chicken and very little on his second). Overall the food was decent, unfortunately some items were less seasoned or a little over cooked than what we would have preferred. We very much appreciated the to-go boxes they made my husband and I, the messages written on the boxes, and the customized cutting board the company provided. read more

Vicki was amazing. Worked with her for my wedding and it was so easy! She made everything so smooth and the food was amazing. I had ordered the bbq brisket as my main food and everyone loved it. Also had green beans, potatoes, chicken satay, and caprese salad. Vickie was in communication the whole time before my wedding to make sure everything was perfect. I tasted their food for a wedding I was a guest at. The food was horrible. Everything was bland and very dry. I have never had such gross food at a wedding like this one was. Usually there is at least one dish that's decent but, nothing here was. I threw out my entire plate. A few people complain about the same thing. Don't waste your money on this place read more

The food they served at my daughter's wedding was awful. The chicken taste like cardboard and so blend. The beef dish was also blend and chewy. We asked the sever for salt and pepper and they have none there. This is so ridiculous. The bread was old and tough to swallow. All the guests I talked to were not pleased with the food. I could not be happier with the outstanding service and fabulous food that Two Chicks and a Rooster catering provided for my recent wedding. My guests continue to compliment the excellent menu, great service and food presentation. Vicki Irish worked very well with our Italian theme, even added chicken caccitore to our menu that is not something they normally make. They incorporated our florists ideas, theme and colors into the buffet table design for a well coordinated look. Vicky was very professional, responsive and inspired our confidence immediately. We had a fabulous wedding. Initially we were worried about having to deal with all the logistics involved with food, chairs, tables, linens and plates etc. Two Chicks took all of that off our hands and seamlessly worked with the event rental company.... including consolidating the bill and saving us money in the process. THE RIBS!!!!! Not much more needs to be said after that, but let me try. The service, the food, the presentation was all wonderful. Food was ok, rest was NOT The food at my wedding was fine (not amazing, but fine) and my guests were all happy, but I certainly wasn't. We picked a menu that was so simple that we could execute it ourselves, but were happy to finally find a caterer in our price range so we didn't have to. In our first meeting we discussed some very specific things I was interested in, and some possibilities for food. Her inexperience was apparent but she seemed eager and willing to please. After the first meeting, it really went downhill. I found her communication to be sporadic, unprofessional and uncomfortable. We did finally have a conversation that seemed positive about a week before the wedding, so I was optimistic, but I shouldn't have been. One of the things that was very important to me was how the buffet was displayed and the food was served. It was 100% the opposite of what I asked for, and I really did not like how it looked. The plates she provided were ridiculously small. I had a number of people cancel right before the wedding, and we talked specifically before the wedding about her bringing food for the full number I paid for, and sending leftovers with my friends and family. I found out after the fact that the only leftovers were the things *I* provided, so she ripped me off for the cost of about 15 people. She also tried to cut off my officiant immediately after the ceremony, though he was nowhere near drunk (she may have some weird religious issue with drinking, I think, after a few awkward conversations about serving alcohol), and she also got incredibly out-of-line judgmental about the fact that I was getting my dress dirty (it was fine and not her business). Overall, I was extremely disappointed with the service, feel I overpaid, and wish that we had just done the food ourselves, or paid more to have a truly experienced, professional caterer. read more

If I had the ability to give them more stars, I would!!! Vicki was amazing; she and her crew did it all...set-up, clean up, serving, professionalism, and when I seemed super stressed about things, Vicki, stepped in, and gave me recommendations for a florist, event rentals, and a bakery. I'm so glad I took them because they were ALL fantastic! The food was amazing and all of our guests couldn't stop boasting about it. I absolutely loved the way they displayed all of the food. They didn't just throw it on a table. Vicki made sure to find out what style of wedding we were having so their tables could match everything. Even food that wasn't from Two Chicks and a Rooster, like our cupcakes. They were beautiful with wood rounds and greenery. They also set up an awesome S'mores bar, recommended from Vicki because she knew we are outdoorsy and camp a lot. It was a great little addition that helped personalize our wedding even more.
