Best Tamales Ever!…read more This place is actually El Salvadorean not Mexican, so the food is a tad different. For example, they don't have al pastor for tacos and other things. They also had a ton of things I had never heard of. It's great though. I just wish I was able to try it! They were all out of most of the things I wanted to try and said we should come sooner. They're open M-Th 11-8 and F-Sun 10-9. I will definitely stop by here again though because their tamales were amazing. I usually don't like the tamales wrapped in banana leaves but theirs was so moist and tasty I just loved it. Hubby and I returned hoping to try some more stuff and found out half of their menu (mostly all the really authentic Salvadorean stuff) is only available on the weekends. Bummer! But we got to try the amazing passion fruit drink called maracuya. It's so freaking good, hubby and I definitely competed over who was going to get the most. I didn't like the pupusa and I don't think I'll like any of them because they're all pretty much the same with some different ingredients- cool if you like it, not so much if you don't. The bandeja paisa, the churrasco plate, the empanadas, the soups, the rice, the beans, the fried plantains.....I could go on!!! The service could be chaotic when is crowded but, they will still make you feel welcome when you're there. The place is nice and humble.
