If you go here, you must be stupid!…read more I am the biggest supporter of small business and #ShopLocal around. I urge you to never set foot in here! I should've done my research... whether it's WISE COUNTY BOOT REPAIR, OR Robb Williamson Boot Repair or North Texas Boot repair...the results are the same: it's the guys at 807 N Main Street, and you should NEVER EVER GO HERE! I have a great boot place off Cherry drive in Fort Worth that has worked on 20+ pair of boots or shoes for me who will get my business in the future. On December 4, 2018 I dropped my boots off to be re-soled. Normally a 3-day job for Texas Boot and Saddlery. Maybe 2 weeks tops, if they have been busy. So when the owner told me it would be 6 weeks, I was a little uncomfortable but I could wait. Begin the Sales Pitch: Oh, but these are full horn-back Cayman! Gorgeous boots These are super easy to work on. See how the scales can pull loose... yours are the best shape I've ever seen! I can fix this scaling issue, so you'll never have a problem! On your soles... I'll add a piece of kangaroo leather between the soles, so they will be like walking on air. This will make the boots last for years and years! I'll even add an extra piece of kangaroo leather over the arch so it'll flex more naturally, and you'll never break the scales again. So now I'm pretty excited about my upcoming, updated, super-boots! I can wait! After 6 weeks have passed (Jan 17), I go in to get my boots. I was met with defiance: "Well, did I call you?"... "Well, no sir. But you said 6 weeks. It has been 7. I assumed you would be finished." Apparently over Christmas he got kicked in the mouth by an animal, lost 2 teeth, and therefore couldn't work. 2 Weeks later, Feb 1 (9 weeks). It has been 9 full weeks." "I'm behind, I got my teeth kicked in." "Yes, I understand... but that was 5 weeks ago, and you've had my boots for 9 weeks".... "Well, there's nothing I can do. There are people in front of you, and I have to get to theirs first." 2 Weeks later (Feb 13)....It has been 11 weeks... Joshua says, "If you don't have a ticket, I can't tell you if I've worked on them". "Well that's #5963. We haven't even gotten into that batch yet" Week 13 (Feb 28)... I will admit that I am done with this. The guy has now had my boots (AND MY MONEY) for 25% of a year!! So I decided I would go ask for my boots back, in whatever state or condition they might be in. I figured, I'll take em in whatever condition they are in... straight to Texas Boot and Saddlery. The owner then tells me he cannot find my boots. He goes through all of his bins, finally, his assistant Wyatt says, "Aren't those the boots you took home?" I just bought a machine from New Mexico, and I have to have this machine to do the double stitching your boots required! AGAIN, WE WAIT... Week 16 (March 20). We have a verbal confrontation... "I no longer care, I just want my boots back". This is when the assistant acknowledges they have been blowing me off for months, and EVERY OTHER CUSTOMER too! "Don't worry, I know you've been patient. I'm going to add the ostrich belly to the arch for free, and give you some of your money back... you shouldn't have had to wait this long". Week 18 (April 3)... Into our 5th month! Even JOB and the Lord himself would understand I'm running out of patience. Week 19 (April 11)... Now I go in and check weekly... NO Boots. "You see son, what you don't understand is that there is a shortage in Ostrich belly in Texas". #Lies Week 20 (April 18). I see the boots! They are spread out in 6-7 pieces, I should've grabbed them and left! The owner tells me... 'You know, the only reason I do business with you is because everyone else comes in here screaming. You are the only reasonable customer I have"... #ShopLocal, Be patient Week 21 (April 25)... "I'm almost finished with them, I just need to get the soles on". #ShopLocal, Be patient, #LyingtomyFACE Week 22 (May 1)... I just dropped your boots off to a guy in Justin. Joshua tells me, "Don't worry, you've been so patient... I'll give you a discount on your "next" pair of boots you bring me" Forget that you already promised to give part of my money back on THESE BOOTS? #CaughtLyingAgain Week 25 (May 22) 3 more weeks he's had my boots and my money... in the real world, this is called an un-authorized loan with no interest (and it's illegal... aka stealing). 5/29...New lies: "Our machine broke 2 weeks ago! WE have to stitch them by hand and can only stitch 1-2 inches at a time!". I tell him that doesn't explain the last 24 weeks. Says he can have them tomorrow! 5/30. 6 months to the day. Did I get my boots back? Yes: Embarassing quality work! Did I get the promised refund? No. Did I get a discount? Maybe... he offered to do another pair at cost. But will I ever get those back? Zero STARS! I URGE YOU TO NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!!

finally a place my father can get his boots repaired! He had a favorite pair of Justin Ropers that…read morehe had forever but no one local was able to help get them repaired so they sat on a shelf. Dad lives in Wise County and normally i take his boots to a place down here but it is nice to have a local place instead having to drive down south. The boots look brand new, and they now have a customer for life. God bless this new shop in Decatur!
