Not worth the money for the service that was to be provided. And while I was home and told them what they didn't do they told me it wasn't part of the deep cleaning. I wouldn't recommend them or use them again. And to top it off they charged the full 385.00 even though the work that was told to le wasn't done. I think this is my second Yelp review ever but I felt compelled to write this in case it's helpful to someone else in my position. I contacted Two Maids and a Mop to clean our newly purchased (empty) home before we moved in. They advertise pre-move-in cleaning as one of their services on their website and claim to clean "all horizontal and vertical surfaces." I was thrilled to find a locally owned business to support that would also deep-clean the house before I moved in with my family. I spoke with the owner, Danielle, who was very nice and helpful. I asked her at that time if the cleaning team could also take a look at my front load washing machine, as it had some (not a lot) of mold in the rubber gasket. She agreed and said they would do their best, which was fine with me. On the day of the cleaning, the two people showed up on time and were friendly. I showed them around the home and pointed out areas that I wanted to make sure they cleaned, like wiping down the baseboard, in addition to the normal stuff like toilets etc. They informed me it would take no more than 4 hours. I was shocked to hear this as I know of other cleaning services that send a big team and spend the whole day. When I came back when they were finished I didn't have time to look around because they were waiting in the car anxious to leave. I snapped a couple of pictures as I swept through the entryway and first floor bathroom, shocked to see a grimey windowsill in the entry way and some brown sticky substance on the bathroom floor... as if the areas hadn't even been touched. They had also stuffed dirty paper towels in the toilet paper holder in the bathroom. Flustered, I tipped them both and went back into the house, but everywhere I looked there was dust, hair, lint... the front of the toilet grossed me out so bad I gagged when I saw it. See third pic. There was also a layer of dust on almost every surface. The last pic shows what was on a paper towel I used to wipe the shower curtain rod in the upstairs bathroom. I contacted the co-owner, Vincent, who was also very nice and agreed to come look and re-clean certain egregious areas. He spent about 3 hours at the house cleaning the toilets that had inexplicably been left untouched, wiping down the fridge, etc. but of course so much was left dirty because there's no way for one person to do a great job in that amount of time. He told me one of the two cleaners had spent so much time cleaning the gasket of the washing machine that he could barely do anything else. This was alarming to me, mostly because it wasn't bad to begin with and because it STILL had mold when he was done! I worked on it myself with a toothbrush after the fact and was able to get it much cleaner. I appreciated the effort Vincent made to fix the team's misses, but I couldn't believe the quality of the service. I work full time, have two little kids, and was hoping to outsource this one process to professionals and take something off my own plate in the midst of a stressful move. For the investment ($700 with tax and tip, which is more than worth it to me if the level of service I received was what was promised) I expected the home to feel clean for when our family moved in. That was not my experience at all. Instead, I had to pay another cleaning service to come in and clean again so at least the basics were covered. I would not recommend this business... and apparently others here on Yelp wouldn't either. I wish I had taken some time to read more reviews before selecting them. two Maids cleaned my house today. They arrived an hour late. We were quoted $250 for two floors of our house, and they ultimately charged close to $400 because their policy is to charge overtime costs if cleaning takes longer than expected- We were home the whole time and nobody informed us they were working overtime. They were also chatting, working at a pretty leisurely pace. The house was no dirtier than it was the last time they cleaned and charged 250. they didn't clean one of the bathrooms in the contract. There are still tooth paste stains on the sink, dirty floors, etc. Total robbery. When we called the owner she stood by her decision to charge $400. Very rude manager, never using again and will definitely spread the word. read more

I wish I would have done more extensive research and taken the advice of the negative reviews before allowing Two Maids & A Mop of Westfield into my home! I hired this company to provide me with a deep cleaning service. After the cleaners were finished an owner of the company came into my home to inspect the job. She immediately noticed dust on the tops of picture frames, baseboards hadn't been wiped down, and exterior cabinets and drawers were clearly not dusted nor wiped down (all of which is to be included in a deep clean as per the owner and their website!) The owner apologized, spoke with the cleaners, and left. The cleaners stayed an extra 45 minutes "re-cleaning," but there was little change. The photos provided were taken after the "re-clean." Two Maids & A Mop of Westfield charged me more than $500 for a deep cleaning service and were "sorry they didn't meet my expectations." Save your money! read more

The owner is rude, condescending, full of excuses, and failed to make a reasonable effort to make things right. Instead they offered a $40 refund if I would agree to not post a negative review. I'd never used any cleaning service before and had LOTS of questions. The owner was so nice. He took the time to answer all of my questions and address any concerns. We had our house cleaned today by Kathy and Nicole. We expected the house to be clean. They exceeded those expectations. It was so nice to sit in a well-cleaned house at the end of a long day, and the kitchen was so well cleaned, it looks unused. They even manage to get hair dye off of the tile floor in the bathroom. BEWARE OF THIS CLEANING SERVICE. I have been using this cleaning service since November 2018 and recently stopped. For the most part the cleaning was good. We had a few big mishaps here and there including, they cleaned our neighbors apartment by accident instead of ours. Two Maids and a Mop asked us for my Landlord's contact information so they could hold him responsible for the service. It was really odd. In addition, they threw our baby monitor in the garbage once and took it out with the trash. My husband had to go fishing in the garbage to get it back. We overlooked these things because overall the company is efficient and easy to use. However, I recently had to cancel (yes last minute) because my son was home sick with bronchitis and I didn't want a cleaning crew in the home. It was my first time cancelling like this. Two maids alerted me to a $35 cancellation fee that I had no idea existed and claimed I agreed to. I had no idea that an email they sent to me previously with the "Welcome packet" attached was actually policies and cancellation fees. Then they went ahead and charged my credit card the fee without my permission. I felt completely taken advantage. I would have gladly paid the $35.00 if the policy was explained to me upfront. I disputed the claim with my bank because I do not think it's okay for a company to charge you without your agreement or permission. They then texted me something like "i recommend you stop disputing the claim because we are sending them proof you agreed to the cancellation policy." I told them No I would not and that I have a new cleaning service that showed me all there policies upfront, asked me to read, and sign them. I told them do not contact me again. They then text me that they are going to send the $35 I am disputing to collections. Now they have lost my biweekly business and my respect. It has been my experience that they have a difficult time being accountable when they make a mistake like clean the wrong apartment or throw your baby monitor in the trash and that they are not forthright with the costumer. read more

The owners and cleaners are pleasant but the cleaning is not well done. When I canceled my service they did offer to find out what they could do for me but I declined as I wasn't happy with any of the cleaning they did. Not the deep clean or the biweekly cleaning. Nice owners but the cleaning is not what I was looking for the price. Again very nice owners, maybe it was just a bad team that I had. read more

I am still mad to this day of the service I received from this company and feel sick to my stomach about the money I spent to not feel clean before I moved into my house. Even when the owner came to do the final inspection there was a ton of places he found that were missed. I even had to ask him about the bathtub, which he then had one of the ladies clean. Why wasn't it cleaned in the first place?! It was a completely empty space that wasn't in awful shape, I don't understand how It still felt dirty everywhere I looked. It took me a few days to contact them but I was in the middle of a move, and you know, COVID! Instead of coming back and making it right, they gave me a day or two to pick from which just didn't work for my schedule, and then wanted me to spend more money (with a slight discount) to come back and clean. The emails were nasty and rude! That is not good business! I wasn't going to post on Yelp, but since they tried to silence me on a community Facebook group about my horrible experience, I felt it was time to post. They seem to have a lot of people who recommended them which now worries me since it seems like they're trying to censor bad opinions. If you are considering using TWO MAIDS AND A MOP, then by all means do so. The cleaners are very professional and respectful. The cleaning crew arrives on time and the price is very much in line with that charged by other house cleaners. I can't think of better people to do business with. Service-wise, the cleanings were good, HOWEVER, I had a very unfortunate incident where the two cleaners in my home threw away a bag of brand new clothing (priced at about $300)...They were still in the department store shopping bag that it was purchased in. The bag was placed on a decorative chair in my bedroom, no where near a trash can, and it was discarded as trash. The cleaners acknowledged that they saw clothing in the bag but said they thought I might be donating the items, and then took it upon themselves to throw the bag away. The owner of the company, Vinny, refused to reimburse me for the full amount of the items- only about 80%, claiming that it was partly my fault- because the clothes were in the shopping bag- (tags still on). Not my fault, and awful business if you ask me. There is a certain level of trust with these company's that need to be had while in your home and around your personal items. It's extremely unsettling when this trust is broken and the owner's refuse to do right by the customer. I would not recommend their service. read more

Very unprofessional service. We paid as much as they asked for. They complained the house was messy so they wouldn't clean up certain areas. We even agreed to that and that's why agreed to pay the price they asked for and kept on agreeing to every negotiation they added on one by one. Despite that, they started giving video tour of our house with comments to their colleagues behind our back without our permission . Not sure, if they recorded the house pictures and video too. Very unethical and unprofessional behavior despite agreeing to every demand that they added one after the other. Not to mention, their cleaning standards weren't very good either. Didn't feel safe with them being in the house. I wouldn't recommend their services to anyone. read more
