DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Austin TX to Colorado. They do not care and they do NOT believe in being accountable for BAD decisions made by sales staff, QA Staff, and movers who DO NOT know how to pack a truck and who lie when they say they will get those boxes left in two rooms. They have a policy of 10 hours to pack and unpack a truck. They spent 4 hours packing the truck and were in a hurry the whole time. I was told NOT to question how they packed the truck and I was told NOT to tell them about things left behind. They packed the garage stuff first and left valuable boxes in the house that they said they were going to put on the truck - TWICE. In the end they simply said no room. If they had packed the truck BETTER there would not have been all that empty space at the top of the truck. They never told me they would not fit everything in the truck. They just kept saying it will all fit. LIARS. They were more concerned about not leaving their BIG moving box of supplies than loading all my stuff. They even left a new in the box 48" TV behind and said I told them to. LIARS. Then when they unpacked, everything was dirty from the dirty truck and they were in a hurry to get on the road. They did NOT spend 10 hours on my move and they take no ownership in their mistakes. The corporate office even said they are independent and we can't do anything. Not even a small discount back that I can use when I have to drive back to Texas, rent a trailer and move ALOT of stuff myself. Sales team was so WRONG in their estimates. STAY AWAY. These people came into our development to move a resident, destroyed our front gate post with their truck, then ghosted us and refused to call back after originally agreeing to meet. Garrett Hudson in particular just straight up ignores our request for a discussion. We have them on video driving through and audio of them rending the metal of the gate with time stamps and everything. Alfredo and Darius giving ZERO cares as they scraped the entire length of their truck against our gate. Ask yourself - would a company which destroys property and then refuses to address the issue care if they destroyed your property? They moved a neighbor out this morning and we noticed the truck was blocking our driveway. When we pointed it out to them and asked them to move they looked dumbfounded as if they were put out by this. Even then they moved the truck back after we pulled the car in instead of you know, parking somewhere else that isn't blocking anyone's driveway. They even moved my trashcan down the block a couple houses cause it was in their way. read more

I get a call from the manager assistant Damien as my card was declined who I then I then explained the amount was way higher than quoted and also shared that I wasn't disclosed that over the initial call. Damien stated he would review the calls as they are "monitored and recorded" and would give me a call once reviewed and if things were not quoted or disclosed on the call as should he would honor the price (much lower than what I was charged). A week and half passed by with no call and then I was charged $220 in addition of a $100 deposit (keep in mind no call from Damien or any form of resolutions details of their review were ever provided to me nor via email) I did not hear back as promised and nor did I authorized the charge at that particular moment. It's bad business practice in quick to charge but not handling consumer complaints and will not cost me to go through the BBB. read more

I was given a quote over the phone and the company sent the paper quote to my son's email (because it was his move) so I never saw that there was a "travel fee" added that I was not told about but was the same amount as the per hour rate. The day of the move, the manager arrived as the movers were finishing the unload and handed the movers the final bill. The manager (Garrett) had marked out the per hour quote ($170) and the travel fee amount ($170) and hand-wrote in $200/hour and $200/travel fee. When I called to question the change I was told there was a glitch in the system and the wrong rates were entered on the quote/final invoice. They said the move was accidentally entered into the system for a Monday and when the employee changed it to the correct day (Wednesday) it should have changed the rate to Wednesday's rate. WTF!! The discussion was always to have the move on Wednesday. I also advised that I was not told over the telephone about the "travel fee." Garrett said I was told because they clearly explain every charge to each customer. I clearly was not told or it would have been written in my notes and I would not have been caught off guard by the charge. He continued to say I was told, basically calling me a liar. They say they will "honor" the original quote but i will watch my credit card to confirm. I believe they truly intended to take advantage of us. read more

Quick notes: -Late -Truck has mechanical problems so sent a van, the van's battery died so sent another van -Truck arrived but got into accident at building and caused damage to property -Smoked cigarettes during move -Forgot items on truck, discovered they were damaged Compensation offered: $6 for damaged property, waived travel fee and only charged for 2 of the 4.5 hours of move (it was only a 450 sq ft apartment, it usually takes less than 2 hours) I understand things happen in life that are out of control but as a business owner they should properly train their employees. I was told I would be compensated out of pocket for the damaged property by their employee but that did not happen. Overall very unprofessional, contacted corporate but there is nothing they can do to the franchise. Just do not use. read more

Just understand that young men are pretty soft these days, even though they are supposed to be better suited for the job, in theory. We've used them 3 times and the last one was the worst. It all depends on the movers you get. The first 2 moves the guys were much faster and efficient and the moves only lasted like 6-8 hours. Our most recent move in January 2019 the guys were much slower and the move ended up taking 12 hours and 2 trips because they couldn't fit all our stuff in the first truck. The price was quite a bit more than the estimate due to this. We're not hoarders or anything and only have a 1900 sq ft house. Not a giant move. Still it's a good company and I think we just got some inexperienced guys. read more

Do not use this company. They are dishonest with terrible business ethics. They did a move for us during which one of the movers drank our liquor, was drunk throughout the day, and damaged our previous house and our new house. Our bed was badly damaged and the mattress was broken and my work desk was both broken and missing pieces, amongst damage to many other items. Our daughter's bed was missing all the hardware and we couldn't get it replaced. The other movers tried their best but were not experienced and none of them could control the drunk one who we pleaded to slow down. The move took literally all day, past 11pm, and they put furniture and boxes in the wrong rooms so we ended up having to do endless work ourselves to make it right. We've paid thousands of dollars for terrible work and lost endless hours trying to fix our homes and furniture. read more

We used Two Men and a Truck for a large move. They came completely unprepared after apparently renting a truck from Penske. We had close to 10,000 pounds to move and they showed up with a few blankets and no tie downs; had to loan them my tie downs. As a result they damaged some high-end furniture. Then, after numerous delays, their head of "quality," Garrett, basically denied covering the damage, claiming they couldn't determine the cost, although I had the actual original receipts, and then decreased any liability to less than the deductible, basically telling us tough luck. He could have added, too bad, you screwed up, you trusted us. The issue here is they didn't even deliver on the basic commitment of providing standard move materials, like blankets and tie downs. They charged more than any other service we checked with. The opposite of you get what you pay for. Very unprofessional and unprepared, and if they damage your property don't expect them to make it right. I'll never use this unprofessional company again, and I recommend you don't either. read more

Like many of the reviews here, I had an incredibly disappointing experience with them. Oddly enough I booked them because I always saw my neighbors using them and they seemed to have decent ratings on here. I was quoted $275-350 to move a one bedroom- 500 square feet total (including the patio). He told me it would only take about 2-3 hours. I gave an accurate description of my items- which wasn't much considering the size of my place. The man who did my quote just asked me to verify the large items as those would take the longest to load and unload. I packed every single thing myself prior to them showing up. All they had to do was put it on the truck. 2.25 hours later and my stuff wasn't even loaded up. My total came to $622. I was shocked and confused, but I felt like I didn't have a choice but to pay it. The next day I called to get ahold of someone about my situation. $600 was outrageous for a one bedroom, not a competitive price, and twice the amount what I was quoted for. After 2 days of me calling and leaving voicemails, a curt woman called me back and let me know that she wouldn't be able to refund me ANYTHING because the workers never left my previous apartment for their break. Because they rested and let me go ahead to my new place to get the keys, she expects me to pay for their downtime. She also stated that my original moving quote only said I had 3 boxes total. 1) if I only had 3 boxes, why would I hire a moving company? Let alone pay $600? 2) as a professional moving company, only 3 boxes total for a one bedroom should raise a red flag. 3) the original quote only asked me to confirm the large items. I booked 2 months in advance I hadn't even purchased boxes yet, he knew I couldn't give an accurate estimate of how many I would have. The BIGGEST issue with this whole scenario is the fact that both parties signed for 3.35 hours of work, yet I paid for 4.5+. No matter how I try to establish this the woman wouldn't hear it. I asked to speak to another manager or a different supervisor as the woman who contacted me was rude, unhelpful, and unfriendly. Do NOT use this company. They actually delivered our things today! +2 stars. They also told me they're not responsible for any damages! -1 star. Because I'm still missing items! My prediction: if they ever respond to this, they will respond with how this was my fault because I turned down their offer to let them rent an additional uhaul - which is fair to a certain degree - and drive our other car because it was not in the best shape to drive a long distance because Max told me he was confident everything would fit in one truck. Of course, Max never promised, but I also can't promise you that you won't get hit by a bus tomorrow. We got lucky. If you read their Facebook reviews, unless they've already deleted them, you will read of others who were in the exact same situation who were left high and dry. No returned calls or emails, having to hire a second moving company to move the rest of their possessions, etc. I was torn for awhile because on one hand, they don't deserve the business. OTOH, I needed someone in my area to book a job so they could deliver my things. All I can say is this is my PSA to never hire this company. My realtor, who was appalled at the amount of things they left, happens to be a top producing realtor with JB Goodwin and won't hesitate to tell clients to avoid Two Men because of our experience. Her job was made much more difficult because of all our things left in the garage that she had to deal with; she had to monitor their second pick up because our things were mixed with our contractor's tools in the garage (Peggy Little is the best!). read more

Please, beware of these people...you MUST get insurance if you want to protect your items because they will only honor the state mandated minimum. I generally expect that movers will be professional and conscientious, and in the past they certainly have been. I have NEVER had this many items damaged in a move. My furniture has been moved over 1,000 miles before and I didn't lose more than a broken glass...NOT THIS TIME. This group couldn't handle a 10 mile move without extensive damage. Several items were broken/damaged, one being an antique armoire with a decorative overlay that they somehow managed to rip off. They did wrap it in a blanket and the way the overlay is positioned on the doors of the armoire, it is slightly recessed. They managed to rip it off in not one, but two spots. That took some skills, y'all! I have a glass table top for a wrought iron table that I have moved twice before, the second move being over 1,000 miles. The third time was not a charm for my table top after this 10 mile trek. They managed to shatter it this time. Fine-accidents happen. I'm glad that nobody got hurt. Then there was the box FULL of broken and shattered items. Not one single item in this box survived. At one point as they were bringing boxes into the apartment, I thought that I heard a box drop and things breaking, but I was far away so I could not see anything. No one mentioned anything to me so I figured SURELY they would have mentioned something, right?!? Right? I do give people the benefit of the doubt...probably more often than I should. Unfortunately the box held items that were mostly only of sentimental value, so even the paltry amount of compensation they will offer will not come close to replacing these items. The fun really began after receiving a phone call from a Quality Assurance Director. She was asking me the general questions about the move. After I told her about the damaged armoire and table top, I was met with a "but did they hustle? Were they fast? How were their attitudes?" But...what?!? I would have preferred for them to have slowed down a little and NOT DAMAGE MY FURNITURE. This is all stacked completely in their favor so at this point I would just like a little humanity. After they sent their technician out to look at the damages, he mentioned how easy it would be to replace the glass table top and took measurements. When it came time for them to offer me compensation on the damages, obviously they chose the .60 per pound (state mandated minimum) rather than offering a simple professional courtesy of providing a new piece of glass. As far as my antique armoire with the overlay torn off, the technician showed up with no woodworking tools. When I received the phone call from the office, they told me that it was unable to be repaired due to the fact that I didn't have the pieces of the overlay. This is not true. I had mentioned to the technician that I wasn't sure if I had ALL of the pieces, but I did have some pieces, and I showed them to him. He didn't have his tools though so it didn't really matter. It seems pretty obvious that they never planned on doing anything other than offering the pathetic .60 per pound. I had used this company in the past and had a good experience about 5 years ago. However things drastically changed!! The move took incredibly long because the lead mover hadn't brought his tool box. I should've sent them away then! My couch was a beautiful leather hide a bed couch. I had called for emailed for instructions to break it down from the American Leather Company. It was nightmare material watching them get it stuck so many times. Then the "leader" got out his pocket knife and struggle with trying to take the door off it's hinges! Totally frustrated I went looking for tools in my barn (which had been partially moved to my new location). It went from bad to worse but I even had to add what muscle help I could keeping the bed from falling out! Once loaded I followed them 40 miles to my home. The scenario repeated itself at my house. Of course the soft leather of my couch was scared and the feet had scrapes and gouges on them not to mention scrapes on my newly painted house! (I had upgraded to the additional insurance and have not heard a single peep from management after calling and explaining the whole ordeal!) Beware!!! read more

I found out about Two Men and a Truck through a friend who used them to move two years ago. Unfortunately, I was not impressed with the services we received. I was pleased with the initial call to set up a moving day with this company as he was informative and told us what we would expect as far as cost went and their time of arrival. I selected the arrival time frame to be between 1pm to 3pm. We were on the second floor of an apartment complex and the distance between our new home was was 25 minutes. I told him our load would include 3 queen sized beds including the frames, 2 dressers, 3 night stands, 2 desks, a coffee table and no more than 20 boxes (actual move in day we just had them take one heavy box and a desk chair instead of the 20 boxes) and that we would be taking care of the rest. He said just to be safe I will quote you guys at $480 but I don't see it taking the full time, you don't have a lot to load and unload. On the day we were scheduled to move with this company we had everything done by 1 pm just incase they happened to be there by one, including taking everything down to the garage so they could just load it in easily, other than the beds (which we broke down so they didn't have to), the 2 dressers, a coffee table and 1 box that was too heavy for us to carry. Around 1:40pm we decided to call to ask when their arrival time would be so we could potentially take another load. They said they were 7 miles away and would be there shortly, so we were like oh awesome see you soon. Another 30 min went by, they still hadn't showed up (which is fine, we just wanted to take a load and come back) The office called shortly after to tell us they would be there soon they were still in Central Austin and would be leaving in about 5 min (which is not what the movers had said to us). I asked once again, do you think we could take a load, he replied I wouldn't, they will be shortly. At this point it is nearing 3pm. Another 40 plus minutes go by it is now 3:40. The movers call us and say they will be arriving shortly. At this point I am in no way mad about what time it is, I am upset because no one is being honest about their arrival time. Instead of getting to take 2 possibly 3 loads we sat there for three hours because they were dishonest about their arrival time. At 3:50pm they arrive, 50 min past the window of arrival time. They apologized which is appreciated and I tried to shake it off. They were nice young men. They wrapped all of our stuff in blankets and plastic wrap which was appreciated but they took forever to load a few items in the garage, 3 broken down beds, 2 dressers, 1 coffee table and one large box. When they finally got everything loaded up I told them I needed to take my dog for a walk to go to the bathroom and that my 2 roommates would be at the house waiting for them and I gave them their number. They said they needed to stop to get a drink and that they would be there. At this point I am timing what is going on. I left 17 min after them, arrived at the new house and waited another 11 min before calling them to ask where they were. They said they were just pulling up. They unloaded everything, the men were nice and apologetic. They ended up giving us $40 off. Our total came to $500? Which is $20 more than we were originally quoted and us three women could have loaded and unloaded a U-haul truck in half the time for a quarter to a third of the price we paid for Two Men and a Truck to do it. I get that things will be delayed when using moving services I am not upset about the tardiness. I am upset no one could be honest about the arrival time. I am upset about their poor way of making it right. And on top of that, the day after when we came back to the house to start unpacking we found that the back side of one of our headboards was scraped from left to right and her matching desk was falling apart. No one was ever rude to us but they have incredibly poor execution on how to handle things when they go wrong. I would not recommend this company to any of my friends or family. read more

Very late for their appointment, I called several times to check in with them. They arrived at my storage unit, claim to have called me six times but yet transpose the phone number they were using. Management at the storage unit but is willing to try to locate me, but the truck drove off. According to the camera time lapse from the time they drove up then drove off was under seven minutes. Dispatcher said they tried to called me six times and sent me an email. I need to check I had no email later in the evening I did receive one. Not very professional. Everything I was to move was pre-staged in the hallway on dollies. By the time they arrived it was end of the day for them, guess how the rest of this went. And yes I was still charged $100! I hope this will be refunded to me immediately. When I initially called them to make an appointment for service person was very friendly and cordial and I was very please to get an appointment. I am working in Iraq. My uncle is 83 years old and I needed to help him move from a 2nd floor apartment to a 1st floor apartment. It was in the same apartment complex, literally across the parking lot - max 100m distance. I scheduled the move with 2 Men and a Truck because they had very positive reviews and were located in close proximity to my uncle's apartment. I have worked as a mover, and wanted to ensure the least amount of time was spent driving from the HQ to my uncle's apartment. They were quick and responsive to schedule. That being said, they ultimately didn't do the job. They failed to move everything from his old apartment on the 2nd floor to his new apartment on the 1st floor. The excuse was not bringing enough boxes. If you, as a mover, arrive and don't have enough boxes... then you need to go and get more boxes or have them brought to you. Not only that, they completely failed to move anything from the storage room, which had a lot of stuff in it. I got charged the max possible for the move. They didn't move everything, and completely left a substantial number of items in the storage room of the old apartment. When I contacted them in regards to this, they were apologetic. They offered to return and get those things and move them. Long story short, despite me telling them multiple times that I wanted them to do that and would even pay extra for them to... they NEVER came back. My uncle had to pay someone money out of his own pocket to have some of those things moved. Other things were placed by the management outside the apartment and were stolen because my uncle couldn't get up there to move them to his new apartment. So, I paid them close to $900 to not do their jobs, make excuses, and lie to me. My uncle then paid someone else another $50 to help him move things, and he had some of his stuff thrown in the trash because he couldn't move it himself. Additionally, my printer and realistic airsoft pistol? My uncle says he can't find them. So, one way or another, they got stolen. Great. read more

I don't usually write reviews, but I've moved a lot and this was by far my worst experience. This is my 11th move and for my upcoming 12th - I won't be using this company again. First, they were late because they went to the wrong complex despite the directions and gate code provided. They called to say they were there but they were at the wrong location. Oh, the gate code didn't work should have been our first clue is what the driver said to me. Then, there were slow throughout the whole process with no sense of urgency or planning. Every time they went to their truck they were checking their phones or taking short breaks. This would be fine if they were work at a pace that was expected. We wrapped our own furniture to help with the move and I helped them to move items. I was faster than both of them. Their manager also came to help them move and was faster than both of them together. He was a relief as he actually wanted to have a plan though he couldn't stay. I've moved these items many times and know how long it should have taken. They took 2.25 hours longer, and that was with our assistance. Also, see note below, my inventory was correct so that was not the reason. When we left to go to the new apartments, 10 minutes away, they didn't leave on time and instead sat for 20 minutes in the parking lot. Then they got lost a second time even with directions provided to them again. They called to say they were 8 minutes away because their maps got them lost not realizing I could see them in the parking lot they mistakenly turned it. Then it took another 20 minutes for them to show up at the new place. After they arrived and parked and started unloaded they realized that they could have parked the truck in a more efficient manner, and we had to wait as they moved the truck. They didn't have all the tools they could have used - such as a second dolly making the process inefficient. One of the movers commented on this to me, as he also commented on the other mover not working as a team. Speaking of the movers, throughout the process they made passive aggressive complaints and didn't listen to us. For example, I stated when they arrived and showed them around that all items fit in the elevator except the couch and explained where the stairs were. He then thought it would fit and spent 45 minutes trying to get it in, and getting it stuck inside in his process. While I got a partial time credit for this, it also extended the move. In the process, the mover got so frustrated, he needed to take a 15 minute (which turned into 20+) break. So there was an hour during which nothing was moved. He also needed a 15 minute break later in the day, which is not a problem, but they didn't communicate what they were doing. In the process, they also damaged a doorway in the new apartment. He tried to say it was already damaged, but as this is a brand new unit and was recently checked, it wasn't possible. Instead he was implying that were lying about the damager though he did note it. When paperwork was needed throughout the day including for damage the movers didn't have it. The lead mover didn't grab it because he was late that day. I heard that multiple times throughout the day as things were needed. In the end quality control reached out to me to address issues, and apparently worked with my complex to fix the damage though I can't confirm that since I never heard back from him after the initial call and follow up email. They were going to look into my issues and my dispute with the time credit was given to me (which wasn't enough, but I didn't want to argue with the movers after the long day of comments from them), but I never heard back from him despite my attempts to contact him for follow up. An in town move 10 minutes away should not cost $1155. Way more than the highest price quote. If you go with these movers you should just throw your money in the trash. Overall - poor planning, poor execution, and poor service. Total incompetence. Go with anyone but the movers at this location. read more

A horrible experience moving with this company. Triple their estimate, broke or damaged numerous items. If you decline the insurance that they offer they destroy your belongings. I could almost swear it was intentional. State law limits damages to 60 cents a pound in conciliation court (I found out later) and obviously they knew that. Hence the carelessness on their part. Showed up on time with two guys and the truck and complained about how worn out they were from the previous few days. I added a third mover thinking that it would speed up the process, but it really wasn't worth it. The manager showed up in the afternoon to check on them and explained that it was hot and the crew had worked a number of tough jobs over the past week. He brought them some hamburgers, fries and drinks for lunch but even after eating and resting this crew was still worthless. It took them over 10 hours to move a two bedroom townhouse (1400 sq. ft.) one mile down the street. I could not believe how much it cost when they tallied up and gave me a bill. They broke one of my shelving units by packing it wrong in the truck (shelf collapsed) and only reimbursed me $18 for it. It was a steel/particle board shelf. We used this service to move my parents to our home in May. Not only did one of them show up sick and sniffling, the other guy had asthma. What? They broke a standing lamp and broke a hunk off a solid lamp table. They also continuously dropped items and bumped into my walls causing scratches. They said that they would take care of fixing/replacing whatever was broken. After over 7 calls with no response, we gave up. We are so disgusted. I do not recommend these movers! read more

They were awesome. Kendrick and Bobby were "our men" for our very small move. They were timely, quick, and efficient. They asked questions that had never crossed our minds, and treated our much beloved furniture like royalty. The crew was running a little late, but they called ahead of time to notify us of the delay. They arrived within 15 minutes of the originally scheduled time. Keep in mind, there is a 2 hour minimum. We didn't use the 2 hours - but my husband and I agreed it was a good value. read more

Find someone else to move you! Two Men and a Truck gave me a bid of $440 to $1040 to move a two bedroom apartment to another two bedroom apartment literally 50 yards apart. They charged me THREE TIMES the amount quoted. I tried to work this out with the "quality control manager, Derick" who ignored calls for almost a week. No, no, no. Just NO. I called about a week before I was supposed to move inquiring about pricing and booking. The woman on the phone said, "we just require two hours in advance." This sounded completely illogical, so I asked her to repeat herself and made sure she said two hours. Well, I'd planned on booking in advance regardless, but there were some paper work issues with my new apartment, and I didn't want to book irresponsibly, so I held off. As soon as I was positive my move-in day was approved, I called them. This was a Thursday morning with intent to move later that afternoon. The woman who answered the phone this time did not handle my protocol presumption well; in fact, she all but threw her coworker under the bus. I asked if there was anything we could do at all, and she literally said, "I'm sorry, none of our locations can help you." Awesome professionalism from this place. When I called around to book new movers, SO many companies asked me to hang tight so they could see how their guys's days were progressing. I got so many sincere apologies from OTHER COMPANIES, but not from Two Men and a Truck. I was incredibly frustrated with my move already, and it just didn't help that my company I'd truly intended to hire and took the proper steps with couldn't even rectify their own mistake. I'm not sure if I got lucky or what, but my experience with Two Men and a Truck was near perfect! I will admit that I was a little disheartened at the quote I was given when I first called back in early August (about $1,300 for a 1 bedroom move from Austin to Dallas), but went on to find that most other companies in Austin charged about the same, if not more. And, really, the only thing that was killing me was the mileage, and it's not like there's much I can do about that, so I was decided to keep with them. It also didn't hurt that the representative I initially spoke with (Sean, I think?) cut me a deal holding my stuff overnight due to a slight lapse in leases since I made arrangments so early. I can't say the same was such for other local moving companies I spoke with. My movers, Mike and Wesley, showed up on time, were super perfect gentlemen, and never once made me feel as though I was being taken advantage of. In fact, Mike was super up front about how the charges would most likely play out, and even went as far as to let me know how they would try to save me some money (i.e. starting the clock after we signed the paperwork, hustling and otherwise working very hard during the actual move, etc.). In the end, I ended up paying a little over $1,100, before tip, and was ultimately pleased with the experience. The guys cleared out my place in under an hour, wrapped most of my large furniture for me, and were just as efficient once they arrived in Dallas. They also made sure to keep me updated regarding their times of arrivial, which was super appreciated as moving can be quite the hassle. Like I said, I'm not sure to call it luck or whatever else. All I know is should I (or anyone else I know, for that matter) ever again need moving services, Two Men and a Truck will be the first place I look to. read more

Movers were only there 2, maybe 2:15 if you stretch it. They showed up at 1:35, but said they "arrived" at 1:20 when they "called the main office", and then wrote on the bill 1:15 because "they only bill to the nearest quarter hour." Talk about shady. Anyways, after talking to the main office, they said they were there for 2:20, and they round up to 2:30. So I needed to pay for an extra half hour. I told them that was too much, they were here maybe a little over 2 hours, and I would compromise and pay the 2:15 just to not argue about it. They said that was ok, and then CHARGED ME FOR 2:30 ANYWAYS. Currently disputing the charge with my credit card company, and know that will go through fine, but I can't believe they would be such cheats. Update: After posting the review (on the day payment was finalized on credit card) the next day a credit showed up (which previously wasn't there as a pending). For the agreed upon slightly higher price, it looks like it might have sorted itself out on its own (or as a result of the review) and was taken care of before the chargeback paperwork details arrived in the mail. I want to update my original review...actually I don't want to update it at all. But what I do want you to know is this...I have been made aware that this Austin location is now owned by the same Owner as the Round Rock location. So the Management has changed completely! I really like the Round Rock location of this business and have used them a few times...the latest was for my own home move and the guys were great! Management called to check in throughout the day. I was very pleased! My items were delivered safely and nothing was broken or damaged! I should have allowed them to come out and give me an estimate first. I underestimated my move and after such a long day decided I did not want to stick with my original plan of me moving some items myself so I gave them additional work. But with a smaller truck we had to make 3 trips...it was not fun. I ended up paying more than what anyone else would have charged us...but it was a 12 hour move, charging by the hour...ugh. Next time I will hire a company with a semi, even though I think all can fit in their truck. These Guys are the pros, take them up on their offer for an estimate. read more

We recently had Two Men and a truck move us to a new house in the same city. F. Baeza G. Baeza and G. Cremante did a great job. They were on task and professional all day, took care to wrap all furniture and loaded everything in the truck so efficiently that they needed only one trip and finished in less time than estimated. They worked with good attitudes to put things where needed whether upstairs downstairs or in garage overhead storage. Also thanks to Jamin, Alex and Brandy for making it so easy to set up the move and for helping us estimate what we would need to do. Moving is always a lot of work but you helped make it a good experience. Mark and Zachary were the friendliest movers I've ever had (and I've moved from San Antonio to Houston to Albuquerque to Chicago to Boston to Austin!!)... they were on time, personable, kind to our elderly yorkies, and moved our stuff in half the time expected. They moved our entire living room set (5 tables, 6 recliners, and a 65" TV), a full king & queen bedroom set with 4 dressers & 5 bookshelves, a breakfast table, and a chase lounge-- up a flight of stairs into our new home all within 3.5 hours. Our original estimate was $850 and the total cost was only $460. I was so happy that we saved time and money because of their hard work. I discovered later that a couple pieces of the bed frames were missing, but Tyler (the manager at Burnet?) found out they'd become stow-aways in the corner of the truck. He was quick to get his team on it to deliver the pieces back to us. Thank you for a wonderful moving experience! I will recommend Two Men & A Truck to everyone I know and will specifically refer them to ask for Mark & Zack as they make a terrific team. read more

I decided to use Two Men and a Truck after using them previously. I was an enthusiastic repeat customer. I now would not recommend them. I repeatedly tried to get in touch with the quality control person at the company after the move to let him know a mover broke a lamp. I finally gave up after days of trying and being frustrated. I also wanted to let this person at the company know that one of their movers was not properly trained. You don't try to squeeze furniture through doorways when it doesn't fit. Finally we just noticed a flatscreen TV they moved was cracked. On the bright side Jesse, the leader mover, was great. read more

I did not have a good experience recently with these movers. I ended up driving a ton of things in my own car after pay $400+ to move not even a mile down the road. And mind you I was moving out of a 600 sq. ft 1 bedroom apt. The movers were fine in the beginning - but once their supervisor stopped by and left, they proceeded to take their sweet time. I ended up having to call the manager back to my site where they were unloading, and once the manager showed back up - the entire truck was unloaded in 30 min (maybe even 20min). I will not be using these movers again - the $400+ I was charged was actually a discounted rate - only 2hrs instead of 3hrs... total bogus. read more

I used two men and a truck to move me back to North Texas because of my youngest daughter's disability. They ruined my furniture and stole my new hand bag. It has been over a month to get anyone here to fix the damages they claim they would fix. I have quality furniture not IKEA furniture they ruined. My 399.00 floor to wall mirror is ruined. My custom frames ruined. My bedroom set ruined. I paid them $2,600 to have my handbag & other items stolen, my furniture ruined, and I fell hustled & conned.
