    Text from Above & Beyond Moving Moverz leaving me stranded & not completing the job after being paid in cash a flat fee.

    I hired this company last minute to unload. BEWARE. I would not hire this Austin TX company Above and Beyond (512) 290-8998. Long story, but basically, they just left me stranded & didn't complete the job after being paid in cash by me the flat rate price that he quoted & then raised higher. "Marcel" (or Wallace Adkins whatever his real name is) talked very nicely at first, then he tried to change the pricing multiple times. He became aggressive when I pointed it out. He was rushing & very impatient and they (Devin & Stormy & "Marcel") didn't finish the job. He asked to be paid in cash, and he lied, and after I paid him he made an excuse for him & his workers to all leave, & did not return. Then later in the night, 30 minutes after he & his worker all left together "to go get a soda at the 7 Eleven on the corner", he sent me a self serving text (see attached screenshot) saying that his worker Devin was having a seizure at a Pizza Hut nearby and asked me if I could call 911 for him & if I had any medical experience. That doesn't even make any sense. Maybe that's why they don't list the company name in their ads on Craigslist. They ran out with my money & left my items still in the ABF freight trailer. Also, they would not follow my building's rules and my requests to wear face masks when inside the building.

    Richie and his crew were more of a burden than helpful. They broke a mirror and turned it around so we wouldn't see it until we actually moved it(see pic)! They also put deep scratches in an heirloom vanity set that is priceless, broke a shelving unit, took chunks out of a $600 dresser, walls, and a bed frame as well( see pics). They relied on us to provide blankets to wrap things up (figured a moving company would provide those, but we were under the impression they were an actual moving company). We had things labeled with colored tape coordinated with the area of the house they needed to go in but, that didn't matter, they put garage stuff in the bedroom, and bathroom stuff in the garage; such a mess. Would absolutely never recommend him to move anyone or anything. Horrifying and stressful experience all the way around and would definitely move ourselves instead of hiring these people again. After discovering the mirror which felt like the last straw, we called him and he said he would get back to us to make things right but I'm not holding my breath (it's been 3 weeks since that call. Would rate zero stars if I could.

He also gave me a paper copy of my transaction. In addition, I had my left over taco bag in hand and he said I could use a trash can that was hidden underneath a counter.     I have been using this location of the UPS store for awhile and one good thing about it is that it…read moreis very rarely busy. I like to call it my secret UPS store. It's a great convenient location, too. But I had an issue with them this morning that I have to share. Their website lets you create print orders to pick up in the store and I used it because I needed copies. They said the copies would be ready this morning, so I stopped by. The shop attendant told me their website doesn't work so my order was not only not ready but it was not even in process. He said I could email it but there is an additional fee to send it that way. Don't take orders online if you can't process them. The shop attendant was so unapologetic and literally walked away from me while I was still talking to him, trying to understand the situation. Don't call yourself a print shop or copy place either if you're not going to fulfill the service. Very disappointed.
