We used Move Drs on March 25 and were so pleased with their service. The ONLY hiccup was that they were late which was annoying but was overcome by their hard work. And, at least they kept in touch with us while they were late to let us know their status. We moved from a 3br 2 story home that we had been in for 25 years. To say that we had an enormous amount of stuff is an understatement. When the guys got there, they did a walk through and immediately recognized that the job had been underestimated! They called for another truck right away! Then they got busy wrapping every single peace of furniture and loading the truck. Honestly, they were much more careful than we would have been! We had about 70 packing boxes and they very carefully loaded every box. They never tossed anything or dropped anything or even set it down roughly! They treated every single items if it were fragile. By the time the first truck was loaded, two more guys showed up with a 2nd truck and then all 5 guys got to work loading the 2nd truck! It didn't take long before the 2nd truck was full. They even took potted plants! They took stuff that wasn't even on my inventory list. Then both trucks headed to the new house - 40 minutes away. They wasted no time and were super efficient in unloading two packed trucks in what seemed like record time. The new house is also 2 story. We moved a workout room to the 2nd floor - complete with more than 900 pounds of weights and a treadmill! It was impressive. They never scuffed a wall or the new hardwood floors. They never rolled their eyes. They never complained. They were completely friendly, professional and remarkably thoughtful throughout the entire process. I was so pleased and so impressed. Unfortunately we had a bad experience. Luckily it turned out to work out, however here is what happened; This is an email I sent to the company a few days after our move...and have yet to get an acknowledgment or response. We confirmed our appointment on friday and were told we would have movers to help unload our 16' truck somewhere between 4 and 6 pm on Saturday. (Originally we were told after booking, that this would take 5 hours) I called first thing Saturday morning to make sure mine and my husband's phone number was in the system, and again, confirmed the appointment. I was told at that time that it will likely be closer to 4 because of the way the schedule looked and that we would be given a call if they were going to be later than that. At about 5:40 my husband and I both attempted numerous times to get in contact with Move Drs to no avail. We had heard nothing from the movers, and only had been given one contact number where we left messages. I also sent an email requesting an update. We had to return our truck on Sunday by 9 am and were going to be charged a 70.00 late fee for each half hour it was late, so at that point we wanted to make sure someone was coming or if they were just no-showing so we could get othe movers in there to move if possible. I was out of town and my husband was alone so it was not an option to move it in ourselves. After numerous attempts, and 3.5 hours later, my husband posted on the facebook page for move drs with the situation and almost immediately received a call stating they were on their way and would be there in 45 minutes. After about an hour, another call came saying they had the wrong address and that they would be there in 20 minutes. They finally arrived at 8pm. Everything was done by 10pm, however at this point, nothing got put together, and the move in was extremely disorganized because it was a "rush to finish" Also, the two men that moved in had no way of covering the carpet, and they walked all through our house with dirty shoes moving stuff in and out. I'm not sure if this is standard for the Move Drs, but I am extremely disappointed with the service, and hope that this is not how all customers are treated. To top that off, one of the movers asked for a banana and then left the banana peel in a corner of our new place, not in the trash. read more

I purchased 2 hrs of moving services from Move Drs on Jan. 24. I called Move Drs on March 26 or 27 to schedule my move date of April 6, which was ultimately scheduled for 10:00 am. Move Drs called at 10:20 on April 6 to cancel. Their reason was that they had a fire in their office and when I asked, they reported that they did, in fact, have mover crews and trucks available, but the manager decided to bring the crews in to clean up the office instead of taking care of the appointments that they had already committed to. I certainly hope there were other extenuating circumstances. It seems like a better choice would have been to hire a cleaning crew and kept the moving crews and trucks working to take care of the customers. Move Drs also told me twice they would find another company to move me later that same day but I never received either a call from a new mover, nor a follow-up call from Move Drs. All of this was last minute and ended up costing me substantially more in surcharges since I did not have a prior scheduled appointment. . I am disgusted with this company. We had hired them because my mother is disabled and I am a single mother to a special needs child, so we needed help with our move. On the day we had to move, the two man crew showed up late and then looked inside our apartment for no more than a couple minutes if that. They then stated that they refused to work with us because our apartment was "unsanitary". I asked them to clarify and they wouldn't. The only really messy thing about our apartment was the fact we had so many boxes. We had to go with another company who did the work without complaint. I would like to give zero stars as I had a confirmed appointment for my move and Move Drs. did not bother to show up or answer my calls and emails. I purchased their services through a Living Social deal and I am working at this time to get a refund. Since they have yet to contact me regarding their missed appointment and they have taken my money I would have to say that this business is a scam. Fortunately, I was able to contact Two Men and a Truck and they were at my house within hours. They were more expensive than I wanted to pay, but they showed up and were courteous and professional. Do yourself a favor and pay a little extra for a legitimate moving service. Stay away from Move Drs. read more

I purchased a Living Social Deal for Move Drs services and even though they mainly serve the greater Austin area, they made an exception and moved me from Temple, which is an hour away. The only minor hiccup was that the guys were a tad late the morning of my move and one guy tried to pick up too many boxes and dropped my microwave (it did not break). However, they were fast and super courteous. A great deal for the amount I paid for the LSD. read more

I had to move quickly. They squeezed me in. I had to move my boxes to fit their time frame, but they moved a house of furniture 6 miles in 2 hours. I used Move Drs because I had a Living Social Deal... Horrible experience. You are much better off hiring some random people off the internet (as I've actually done in the past with success) as this shady "business" is a disaster. The mover came 2 hours late with no phone call. The "office" apparently closes early on Saturdays so no one answered when I tried calling. Finally when he did show up in a Budget rental truck, he was alone. The second guy I was promised (and already paid for) was MIA... my boyfriend and I had to do lot of the loading. Then the mover was rough with my stuff and broke my dresser by carrying it with all of the drawers still in it and full of stuff. At first he tried saying it wasn't broken but it clearly was. The wood completely splintered. Then he said he could take it back to their shop to fix it. Fast forward a few weeks and my dresser is MIA and no one at Move Drs will answer when I call. After I got Living Social to help, they finally returned my still-broken dresser. It was so damaged that it was no longer functional and had to be thrown out. When I tried to get the insurance money for the damaged furniture (as per the contract they had me sign...) they just kept telling me that the the person "with the contract" wasn't in and to call back later. I guess they don't have computers or copies of the contract they give all of their customers?? They said this during the rare times the actually answered the phone. Since they seemed to be actively avoiding my calls, I had to call from other numbers. Eventually i stopped calling them for the money owed to me. They won. Seriously this place should be shut down. And I'll never use Living Social again since they are willing to send customers to this scam of a business. read more

I used Move Drs for a move across the city. The appointment was for the morning but they missed that window. When they did arrive they loaded everything quickly and unloaded just as quick, The team of two were very courteous and careful. I would use them again. read more

I originally was moved by 512 moving, which was then absorbed by Move Drs. I dealt with Daniel the owner once they had taken over to try and get my stuff replaced and he assured me that he would try to make things right. After a month of no contact, however, he told me that he would have nothing to do with the debts of the company he acquired, and that he would do nothing further to help me. read more

Worst move of a lifetime! Incompetent service and ownership. The movermen reeked of pot and then after 3 months, many damaged items, the owner Daniel called me 3 weeks ago to say they'd finally found one of my dining chairs and broken marble chest tops and we still do not have these items! We are about to take serious action against these scam artists. Do not entrust your belongings to these guys. read more

We used this company for two separate moves in the same week...one for our house and one for our office. Both moves had issues. The guys they use on their crews are nice guys and work hard, but could use some better attention to detail. Unfortunately, the management at this company is a complete mess and will eventually be their downfall. They try and cram too many moves into one day for each crew and obviously don't know how to time them very well. They were about 45 minutes late for our house move and 2 hours late for our office move. And by late, I mean 45 minutes and 2 hours later than the end of the 2 hour time window they give you if that tells you anything. On my house move, they ended up charging me a 3% credit card fee that was never disclosed ahead of time. On my office move, they claimed their credit card machine was down (even though they only have you fill out a piece of paper with your credit card info and sign it), claimed they were no longer accepting checks and could only take cash. This was at 4pm and nearly made it impossible to get to my bank in time since they clearly gave me no other options. After my house move, we began noticing that items were missing that should have made it from the move. Super critical items like the bed posts from one bed and one piece of the frame for another bed. After nearly a week and no call from them, I contacted them and they finally located the two bed posts. I'm not holding my breath about the other piece of the bed frame. We're still unpacking and who knows what else we will figure out is missing. Really not sure how that's possible. I have used Square Cow Movers twice in the past and will be going back to using them exclusively. I doubt this company will be in business this time next year anyway. read more

We moved on Jan 18h and Shawn and Victor were polite and hardworking. As long as nothing gets broken, you will be ok...but if it does...watch out! In the process of the move, they broke the light fixture to our ceiling fan in the old home and assured us that it would be covered. We had to turn in the keys to the new owners by the 31st and we contacted Move Drs again on the 26th to make arrangements, Pamela said they would be able to find a replacement and take care of it. On Jan 29th, we contacted them again and they promised to bring it by on the 31st as we did our final cleanup of the old house. The 31st came and no light fixture. We called Daniel and he apologized and stated he had forgotten and told us he would reimburse us as we had to go and purchase a light fixture for arounf $40. We made sure he had our correct address for payment and believed he was telling the truth. As of Feb 16th we had not received the check and I emailed Pamela at MOve Drs again to give them one more opportunity to do the right thing. 4 days later with no reply, we have decided that they do not intend to reimburse us for the fixture they broke during the move. We had waited to do our review as we really wanted to give a good review based on how fast and courteous Shawn and Vic were but it has been a month and the issue should be resolved already. read more

Absolutely terrible service. They were 5 hours late to the scheduled appointment. They did not call and tell me that they were going to be late, I had to call about 6 times before they finally answered the phone. Harrowing experience since I HAD to move everything out of that apartment before the end of the day. During the move they damaged part of my new apartment wall - I was told I will be contacted to get this fixed. Still haven't been contacted . I wouldn't want anyone to experience this kind of service. read more
