It took 9 men to move me from Harris County GA to a storage company in Columbus GA and then back to my new home in Fort son Ga. The movers broke many things that included antiques, put dry/bottled (both glass and plastic) into boxes with no sense of responsibility ruining food in the process. They have refused to be held accountable. The owner consistently yelled at me - I front of workers and even potential customers - because I held him accountable. Storage unit was designed to more than accommodate my belongings but the Packers stuffed my belongings in so tightly that it came the door at the facility I used, which did not hold me accountable but Two Men And A Truck. Very bad services that cost me a financial fortune and a great deal of stress and grief as I realized the damage the caused. Again, zero accountability, only deflection of responsibility throughout the experience. I do not recommend this moving company to anyone and have already steered two potential customers away by the pictures I took upon the arrival of my belongings and the poor shape and destruction of property this company created. read more

After an hour and a half, before the job was complete, they said they had to go to another job. We now had an absolute mess. These people damaged some of my furniture. It took a month to get my dining room table repaired - not replaced. The other major piece that was broken was a large dressing mirror. At first they acted like they would replace it and then NOTHING. They quit answering my calls, never return a call and it's been over 3 months. Where are you Will Dillan?? Do you own this franchise??? If I owed you money I bet you'd give me a call! The actual move was satisfactory to a point. They did get most of it moved and only broke a few things. We paid over $6000 and they left a uhaul full that we had to return almost 300 miles and pick up. I would not recommend using them due to their non responsiveness after the move. Horrible service. I scheduled for 2 men to move furniture and boxes from an apartment to a rented moving truck. The scheduled start time was 10 am. No one showed up at 10 am nor did I receive a phone call. After calling the office 3 times, I was informed the men would arrive once they finished the previous job. They finally arrived 40 minutes late and then the men complained constantly. First of all, I scheduled for a 10 am start not "when they finished the previous job" and secondly I'm paying you to move items so quit complaining about moving items. This company is the worst. Second move in 2 weeks (combining households), and the only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because they didn't have some tools they needed so it slowed us up a bit. Stuff happens and I can cope with it. BUT, most importantly they did not damage anything and they were moving some heavy furniture into a very old house. Very polite, right on time, I am about to schedule my 3rd and hopefully final move with them. I don't think I would use anyone else in town. UPDATE: The owner called me and refunded me for the extra hour I was charged and is handling the broken mirror, he was very polite and apologetic so I feel like they've made right on the situation. Good customer service is very important and I appreciate it! The movers themselves are good guys ...I had two sets. First day, no one ever showed up, no one ever called. I called them around 3 wondering what the deal was and was told just 30 more mins for hours until they finally showed up after 7pm (I had an infant needing to go to bed and it was 17 degrees outside in the dark) so not really moving conditions . They moved a couple essential pieces and were coming back Saturday. Mind you I would have just gone into work and rescheduled the move had they done the right thing and accurately assessed when they would show up. I told them they could come back Saturday but I wasn't paying a penny more for the move based on my dissatisfaction. Came Saturday and were packing up on schedule...when I realized they weren't padding any of the furniture...they said they weren't told to come with any supplies for wrapping furniture or packing supplies (to pack my kitchen), so then they had to wait for supplies to come and once they did 2 guys stood outside talking to the guy who brought them for 20 mins before they got started again. I told them to just finish up the work that they had already started and they could go. A mirror was broken and documented...I had new movers within a couple hours to finish the job. Monday morning rolls around and I'm outside in the freezing cold arguing with them because they charged my card again and didn't even bother to address my broken mirror. They argued with me about having to pay for an extra hour more of their time since they were at my house...ummm 1 day of missed work, 2 days of childcare, waiting for supplies to be delivered, having to hire new movers, a broken mirror, and they just helped themselves to charging my card for more time!!! read more

I had two beautiful moves with this COMPANY....the third move with this local company was a complete disaster...they did not put the stabilizer around the agitator of my new Maytag washing machine-broke it....lost the screws to my mirror downstairs and left it sitting upside down against the wall. tried to overcharge. on my Visa....workmen said they gave them their shortest truck so had to go back to the apt.....leaving it unlocked with my computer and A T & T equipment there.. left my ..bench in the bushes.... not all boxes taken downstairs.....2 small mattresses tossed in the closet. I had just had surgery and could not go downstairs......tried repeatedly to contact owner....NO RESPONSE EVER...... I noticed the other ones with problems had them more-or-less resolved. Although I was unhappy with the damages caused by Two Men and a Truck (as my previous review clearly described), the owner Will Dillon went above and beyond to make the situation right. I contacted him yesterday because the company still hadn't paid for repairs to our apartment. He called back right away apologizing for the damages and said he would personally take care of it. Today he hand delivered a check to our apartment complex for the cost of repairs. I forgive them for the damage done to our mattress because I love love LOVE good customer service! I am very appreciative. :) Thank you. **My previous 1 star review** The movers ruined our brand new mattress and box springs because they did not use a blanket when putting it in the truck. The sides of both box springs and the mattress have hundreds of splinters that will not come out and threads are hanging out everywhere. I am extremely upset, because like I said, the mattress and box springs were brand new. We bought them 2 days before we moved. They also ruined our kitchen floor and slammed the washer into the corner of a wall taking a big chunk out of it. I can't believe how careless they were with our things. I understand accidents happen, but the mattress part was NOT an accident. It was totally their fault and could have been avoided had they used a blanket or something to sit the mattress on inside the truck! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. My bedroom set that I had just purchased July 11 was ruined when I moved 12/10 my furniture has a distressed look was very beautiful. My chest is chipped and marked up a drawer was cracked the bottom that it stands on is disconnecting. My dresser was marked and scraped up my mirror has chips in the glass. They contacted me the day following to see how my move asking me about any damages I advise of the damages I'd noticed and they kind a like brushed it off. A couple days later I start noticing more damage and discoloration. I reach back out to them and let them knew that there was more damage than I was able to accept! So I was told to email pictures Tyrone called right back saying they couldn't see any damages it was already distressed I said there is damage everyone I've shown the pictures see it easily he said he would have someone come out to look at my furniture that weekend they never showed but I was told the notes said they called and left a voice mail around 8 that morning a total lie. So someone was supposed to come out the following weekend to look at my furniture that never happened I got an apology from Tyrone low down lying ass! So it took over a month for someone/Tyrone to finally come assess the damages I moved on December 10 no one came to my home until the first week of January Tyrone stated he could see the damages took pictures and videos for the furniture repair guy that they said they'd have out that same week it took almost 2 weeks for them to set that up. He comes by to assess the damages is very honest said he could use a wood marker but I wouldn't be satisfied with the outcome I told him no I was told initially if it couldn't be repaired to like new it would be replaced he told me he'd get with them Monday to let them know the damage was more extensive than they reported idk why Tyrone didn't send the video or pictures he took. A few days go by I follow up with Tyrone he has a totally different demeanor now he refused to replace my stuff told me I should have bought extra coverage. When I hired them and scheduled I made it clear all my furniture was just purchased an I was hiring them because they wrap and pad the furniture I was insured my belongings were in good hands all movers were professional and thoroughly trained. Fast forward I'm told I'd get 60 cent per pound for damages and they use a system to calculate weight they mailed me a check for $270 for my 5 month old Ashley bedroom set that was delivered to my home each piece in a box directly from Ashley. In the beginning everyone was really nice and friendly but once my things were damaged I saw totally different attitudes Tyrone was no longer returning my calls or my emails. Tyrone is deceitful and he is a liar and he doesn't give a damn about the customer. I wonder did he get a bonus by mishandling my situation and not replacing my furniture? They have insurance to cover property damage so I don't know why it was such a big deal to replace my belongings that their employees ruined. When I hired them I made it known that I hired them to move me because I knew that my stuff would be wrapped and padded I wouldn't have to worry about any damages I would never recommend two men and a truck to anyone the owner is rude to I can't recall his name if you care about your furniture and you don't wanna be replacing pieces and dealing with bad customer service and horrible management look beyond Two Men in a truck. I forgot to mention in the breezeway of my old apartment there was a new fire extinguisher enclosed in a case the kind you hit with a little hammer like thing and it breaks giving you access to the extinguisher they knocked that off the wall causing it to break left for me to clean up. Once we got to my new place they broke my neighbors porch light an didn't tell me I found out from another neighbor who heard her calling the leasing office to complain. Great, best, awesome! Crew showed up with a "service" mentality (can't say that I see that much anymore) a mentality that never faded. Well, can I tell you that what appeared to me an impossible move, was viewed by these guys as a professional-mountain that was about to be conquered. I mean literally, from 8:30a.m. util 6:00p.m., the crew worked and by worked I mean; - asked my what my major concerns were while simultanously reassurning me that they "we're going to make my move fun and we will not leave you until you are fully satisfied with our service." - LITERALLY RAN WHEN THEY COULD TO SAVE ME MONEY! - Treated EVERY piece of my "prized" furniture better than I could ever have imagined. And did so with such efficiency. - Disassembled, protected, loaded, unloaded. Placed, reassembled.....then....disassembled again to rearrange (for my wife), one last assembly, shook our hands, smiled and were on there way. Possibly the best SERVICE experience of my life. Stranded - I wish there was a rating of no stars! This mover left me standed without so much as a phone call and never returned my calls to reschedule or to make things right. In hindsight, they overbooked and took a more lucrative customer (my move was a small one, a short distance away). When I called another mover and indicated that I'd been stood-up, he immediately said, "Was it Two Men and a Truck?" When I said yes he said, "I hear it every week." So this mover overbooks as a matter of practice (like the airlines), but instead of offering discounted services to bumped customers, they just won't show and never contact you. [I wondered why they don't answer their phone; they only call you back (if they maintain a high enough incentive to do so). I could have forgave and forgotten if they'd called to offer a discounted reschedule. If they had any scuples, they'd at least have called to own up to their shocklingly bad customer (no)service. To never return my calls shows contempt for customers, which is not in keeping with their slogan, "Movers Who Care." On the bright side, they would have shown equal "care" in handling my furniture, so perhaps things worked out for the best. People who prey on others in their most vulnerable circumstances are the worst kind of scoundrels. The only way they can continue to profit by this behavior is if it remains secret. Please warn others of this experience and best wishes for your move. P.S. Two Men and a Truck say, "No move is to big or to small," which was untrue in my case. Not knowing how to use the word "too" in their advertising should also have been a red flag to me as well. : ) I got duped. Please learn from my mistake! read more

I give one star bc I'm very disappointed in their aftercare service/damage control. I have used them in the past, as far as making a reservation for your move and getting the supplies and and how movers being in time and taking care of things I give that about 4 stars. They are pretty efficient. But in our last move, one of the mover had broken a leg on our dresser. They were very apologetic and they did all the paperwork necessary to get things fixed. Which we appreciated it. They even made a call after the move to make sure we were satisfied with the work they'd done and mentioned that the claims manager whose name is John would call within 2 days after the move. Well, we never got the call from claims manager named John. So after few days, we called to speak to him but he was never available and having to leave multiple messages. Then we finally get a call back but he wasn't speaking properly or getting us the information we needed. So we call back again several times to check on the status or update having to end up leaving messages again and again and no call back. So finally I called again and miraculously, I actually get him in the phone. Then he tells me, oh it takes several days for our guy to fix this but I can give him a call and call you back with a status.... Well..... Where's my return phone call? Besides, he really sounds like used car salesman and so unprofessional. I was not happy. It's been almost 2 1/2 weeks since we moved and still no dresser or a phone call of status as to what's is happened to the dresser. read more

BEWARE! AVOID this incompetent and unethical mover! A representative of Two Men and a Truck moving company (henceforth "TMT") 2301 Airport Thruway, Suite E-4, Columbus, GA ) came to our country home to assess the items to be moved to Florida. TMT's representative, Juan, took notes as he was shown absolutely all of our possessions to be moved. These possessions included a many large, heavy and expensive pieces of pottery for outdoor gardening as well an array of gardening tools and implements. We watched Juan make notes as he viewed everything. We were subsequently informed that to move everything would cost $3589.00, which we accepted. Two months later, two movers from TMT arrived with a moving truck. They proceeded to load all of our belongings into the truck packing it to the very limits of its capacity. Before the truck was full, it became apparent to the movers and us that none of the pottery or gardening equipment would fit into the vehicle. The size of the required truck had been grossly underestimated by the TMT representative. Late that afternoon, after several telephone calls to their office, the two movers informed us that TMT would have to rent another truck to move our remaining property. Our Georgia house was in the middle of "nowhere". We had informed TMT that my wife and I needed to be in Florida the next day, and the long drive required that we leave very early the next day. The movers assured us the second truck would be rented "first thing" the next day. We were stuck and at the complete mercy of this incompetent mover. The next morning, my wife left for Florida before dawn as we had both expected to do. I was forced to wait for TMT to bring the second truck. It did not arrive at our house until after 10 AM. I waited to insure all our possessions were finally on trucks. I could not leave Georgia until noon. I cannot drive at night, because of this delay, I was forced to rent a room that night and an additional meal before arriving at the Florida address. Juan had either grossly underestimated the quantity of our possessions or grossly miscalculated the size of the truck required to transport ALL of our goods. Either way, my wife and I found ourselves in the middle of nowhere with only four-fifths of our belongings loaded on a full truck. The remainder of our possessions left under the carport. In addition, the full truck had a dead battery and I was compelled to "jump" it with my 1989 automobile and my own cables! We also had to supply TMT with rolls of tape; they did not have enough with them, and because they worked "leisurely", my wife and I assembled boxes so we could (hopefully) leave in the morning! We had commitments to keep the next day in Florida. Additionally, as "senior citizens", we intended to follow each other in our cars to Florida for safety sake. These egregious errors forced my wife to leave alone and drive by herself, while I waited for a second truck. TMT employees were told how critical it was for me to leave as early the next day as humanly possible, yet it was noon the next day before I could leave Georgia; the staff did not arrive with the second truck until late morning to finish the job. Consequently, I was forced to rent a room on my trip, purchase food and arrive a day late in Florida. All of this and more caused us great distress and inconvenience. After all of this our credit card was billed $625.00 above the agreed upon charge with NO contact by the manager (Will Dillon). We did verbally agree with Juan to discuss an "additional charge" for this second truck. What options did we have? All our possessions were either in a truck or under the carport; we could not switch movers - we were completely at the mercy of TMT. This incompetence on the part of Two Men and a Truck moving company amounts to nothing less than extortion. I tried several times to speak by telephone to the manager of TMT and left messages. TMT has our cell phone number, but has never returned a call. Had TMT at least talked to me, I initially felt that we might make some minimal additional payment. I am now of the opinion that there is real problem with this company and its management. This entire shakedown is completely the fault of TMT and its employees. For you own sake, try another mover! read more

Terrible experience with Two Men and Truck in Columbus, Ga: -movers failed to bring boxes even though we specified that we wanted a pack as well as a move - movers returned over an hour later (after already arriving late) with not nearly enough boxes & therefore left many items unpacked -my spouse helped the movers for 3 hours to ensure that we could get everything packed by the end of the day since they did not start until nearly 11 am (supposed to start at 9) - movers did not wrap pictures, lamp, etc and just left as is putting them in our storage unit that way where they could easily get scratched/ broken, mattresses not wrapped -movers did not accomodate requests such as wrappping items that were in boxes for storage in attic but not packed well -storage unit was not organized well (lawm mower was placed on top of a giant (unsealed) box of books, for example -etc., etc. more of the same types of issues in terms of packing, storage -customer service was TERRIBLE -- called to express complaints hoping we could be compensated in some way. The franchise manager kept saying he would get back to me & did not. Finally he did get back to me (after the 2 Men & a Truck corporate office called him more than 3 times) saying that all he could do is give me two free hours for another move (would NEVER use this company again) or they could come rearrange our storage unit for us (my spouse has deployed & I am no longer living in the area so this is not an option.) -would not recommend this moving company to anyone. Other franchises may be better but the Columbus, Ga is terrible. read more
