We moved from a three-story home to a one-level house on one of the coldest days of the year, it was literally 1 degree outside, and they never missed a beat. They handled everything, including a lot of outdoor furniture, with care and efficiency. They paid close attention to protecting our large, unboxed furniture, TVs, and mirrors, wrapping everything thoroughly and properly. The crew was professional, polite, and genuinely considerate throughout the entire move. They took great care of our belongings and of us. I have never left a 'YELP' review before, however after having such wonderful service, I am inclined to do so now. The two employees who helped us during the actual move, Joey & Jasiya, were AMAZING! Efficient, helpful and considerate; the best we have ever worked with! In addition, they were extremely kind & reassuring, about anything & everything related to our moving. They were careful to protect the interior of our current home, and careful, but somehow still speedy, with all of our moving items; they truly went above & beyond, especially considering the difficult layout of the home. I would also like to highlight Shepherd, the employee who responded to my initial inquiry & set-up our reservation, as he was also so helpful, patient & responsive. Shepherd was SO thorough & completely transparent with pricing and was sure to provide accurate information. It is very difficult to provide anything more than a general ballpark for services like these, which unfortunately many people fail to grasp. However, Shepherd was so thorough & knowledgeable that we had a very accurate pricing & related information. Truly every employee we worked with/encountered was amazing, from start to finish. Showed up on time but took as long as they possibly could with the move. I have never seen anyone milk a job like they did, so slow, no urgency! One guy used our restroom for at least 15 minutes! Did not damage anything. Was told cost would be toward lower end of estimate since I only had 14 items that were ready to go, mattress wrapped, two items already outside, but actual cost was $100 more than highest estimate! When I called and complained, Annie had multiple excuses ready, as if they'd had this same complaint many times before. Was told boss was out with "jury duty" and they never returned my call. Was going to use them again for junk hauling but will definitely NOT hire them again! read more

Let me start by saying the two men that came to move my mother's belongings were very polite, professional, wrapped all furniture, and moved everything without damage. The reason for the one star is dishonesty with pricing. When I scheduled the move I told them exactly where pick up would be and drop off, along with the exact items I would be moving. I was told due to the small amount of items being moved, it would ONLY be the minimum 2 hour charge. On moving day, when I went to pay, it was $140 MORE than I was told it would be. I immediately called and no one answered. I called a second time and was told the manager was out of the office. I did not want to delay the workers and therefore went ahead and paid the full price. After speaking to the manager, I was informed that drive time is from the time they leave the office until the time they get back to the office which is included in the 2 hour minimum. Wish I would have been told that on the first call! I just feel like they were dishonest in their quote. When I told the young man collecting payment I was really not happy about this and explained why, he responded with " I understand, this happens all the time." Really?!? Sounds like I am not the only feeling ripped off. read more

This company charges an hourly rate: $150/hr on weekends, $130/hr on week days. Therefor, it's in your best interest to have everything ready to go when they arrive for the move. That's exactly what I did. Still, somehow it took them over 6 hours to move about a dozen things. The good: Both of the young men that showed up made a sincere attempt to be friendly and helpful. They moved everything exactly where I wanted it and how I wanted it. They took great care in wrapping everything in protective blankets and bubble wrap so it wouldn't be broken. The bad: They were slow. I felt that if I had the wrapping materials and truck, I could have done the job in less time by myself. One of the two guys was taking smoke breaks. Yep, I paid $130/hr so he could smoke. The ugly: Property damage. One of the two guys dragged mud through my new house, coating my new hardwood floor with thick, muddy footprints. They also hit the walls in a few places causing permanent damage. Overall: I would not recommend this company, nor would I hire them again myself. read more

I used Two Men and a Truck in Indianapolis and was very pleased. My parents used them in Fort Wayne very successfully. I am now moving in Lafayette, Indiana. I have called numerous times and they never answer. I have left messages with no return calls. So I called the Indianapolis office but have to pay a great deal more in the travel fees because of the distance. THE LAFAYETTE, INDIANA LOCATION HAS TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! read more

If I could give zero stars to this business I would, but I have to say there are some (not a lot) very helpful people who work here. Let me start by saying the company should not be called Two Men and a Truck but "Two Fools who don't give a ..." you get the idea. FIRST: Customer service is inconsistent. You can call and leave messages, send emails, and they are not returned. The explanation? The voicemail system doesn't always let them know they have a message. Does this explain unreturned emails? No. SECOND: Is this business solution oriented? No. My booking for our move was incorrect and the move was scheduled for one day when it should've been scheduled for a two day with an overnight hold. This put us into a quandary and I asked the manager "do you have any ideas for what we could do as an alternative?" His answer was "no, we don't". I suggested calling another Two Men and a Truck as a backup. As that didn't work out, we ended up having to rent a storage unit for our items. THIRD: Does this business treat your items with care? No. The movers dropped our $4000 LG refrigerator (they didn't wrap it), dropped our $3000 Ethan Allen formal dining table, and scuffed up the door frames in the house (we ended up having to cut a check for our home buyers to pay for the damage the movers made in the house). We also discovered damaged and ripped sofas, and an oil painting that was punctured. The damage they made to our property cost more than the move! (And we are still waiting to hear about our damage claims, at this point we may take legal action). LASTLY: A 4.75 hour move took DOUBLE THAT TIME! Carelessness, poor customer service, and sloppiness leads me to NOT RECOMMEND TWO MEN AND A TRUCK! NOT EVEN IF THEY WERE MOVING A BOX NEXT DOOR! Never again. read more

I used them for moving locally into a home in Lafayette. They were less expensive than the 2 other companies I called and they did an excellent job moving everything. They were careful with boxes, wrapped mirrors, and brought things into the new house, did re-assembly as needed and put things asked where things should go so that everything was in the right room and easier to unpack and put away. read more
