Arrived late at the drop off location and delivered 90% of my furniture damaged. Scratches in bookcases and cherry wood dining room table. A busted TV stand that they attempted to hide the damage but it fell over after they left. I hired this company to move furniture into my new apartment for me. I called them a week in advance. The morning of the moving day they called me and said they were unable to do it that day because they had someone call in sick. They said they would contact me later that day, mind you, I had paid this in full beforehand. I had to contact them again because nobody called me back. We set it up for two days later. Now, this whole time, I had NO furniture in my home. They called me thirty minutes before they were supposed to be at the address and said for the second time, they would have to reschedule. Even though they gave me a full refund, I am extremely upset with this company. If I could give 0 stars, I would. What happened to professionalism? I wish I could give 0 stars. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. Always late, they give you a very wide time frame and still managed to come after that, making me waste my entire day waiting for them. Because of this, instead of continuing with the service I had already PAID for, I contacted them months prior to the time when they were meant to drop off my stuff and asked them if I could go pick them up myself at the storage. The girls Becca said yes and gave me a time and date and a location. When I was meant to go there that day I called and Becca did not remember me, and told me that she had forgotten to change my delivery on the system and so my stuff was already on the back of a truck and they could not unload it. I was then transferred to someone else when Becca told me that she would not do anything to accommodate to my situation. This second person laughed at me, dismissed my anger at the situation, and once again told me I had to wait until the next day or 2 days later to get my stuff. Then the day I was going to get my stuff they told me they would call me, and I insisted to the lady on the phone to please do so. When the day came, they never called me and if ai had not walked to where the trucks were parked on campus they were going to take my stuff back to the storage. Rude. Late. Disorganized. When you as a business make a mistake after agreeing to something with a customer who would go out of their way given that you could not accommodate to them, you apologize and fix your mistake and try to accommodate to their needs. That's business 101. Instead, I was dismissed and told that there was nothing they were going to do. These people should not be allowed to run a business. AVOID AT ALL COST. !!!!!! ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A COLLEGE STUDENT. They will make it seem like they are a holy grail but will make all your experience 10 times worse. read more

Let me start with if "The Grandma Rule" was in effect they did not like their grandma. During the move we did have to file a damage claim, most of it we overlooked because we didn't know how to confront them when they knew full well they gouged the wood and they didn't offer up the damage. But on one of the items the damage was too severe, however I was told they would contact me about the damage claim - mind you I paid 75.00 for the damage insurance (something about how he said do you want the insurance told me I certainly did). It has been 22 days since the move and no call, no email, I called yesterday and no return call, I called today and they are going to dispatch someone. They seems nice on the phone but where is the follow thru. I will not ever use them again, really unprofessional. The move: We had a two men show up - I originally wrote a two man team but that would have been inaccurate. They did not move as a team two independent people. I must state I have moved over 30 times in my life so I am no amateur to the task. When I originally put the data in for the quote we were not sure if we would be able to move anything prior to the move date - however we were able to move stuff for 2 weeks prior. So we had pretty much all the kitchen, all the clothes all the bathroom and 50% percent of the living room moved prior to these guys showing up. We had less than 15 pieces of furniture and no more than 20 boxes plus a few pictures/mirrors. When the men showed up they were nice and friendly but the first comment was this should take 7 hours (they had not been in the apt yet) I said "Oh no, no where near that amount of time, we already moved the majority of the stuff". Mind you I have moved a time or two - it should have taken no more than 2 hours to move this stuff out of the first apartment and possibly 3 to move it into the other (stairs). Both apartments were under 700 square feet. Too small to take so long. They say the drawers can remain full, true, but the items will be flipped 180 degrees and on moved on the decorative edge, which was fine I guess for the single floor adventure but when they pulled up the nice furniture upside down up 18 stairs, slamming it up each and every stair as they did barely anything as a team. That edge on the furniture was taking a beating. And lots of stuff was dislodged and behind the drawers. Just prepare yourself for that. Each time up the stairs resulted in a pretty good rest period to catch their breath as the furniture was heavy without the contents and they were using only the hand cart to slam the furniture up the stairs. Neither guy helped the other with any task except for the couch, the TV and one super heavy chest of drawers. No consideration for the furniture really. Eager to just write a damage claim if need be. They milked the clock like no other. They wanted to be sure the 7 hour estimate stayed. I will never use them again as a result. They gouged the bed frame pretty good due to lack of care while carrying up the stairs and broke one of the Ikea like pieces of furniture by slamming it up the stairs. Honestly, I could not get over how slow and inefficient they were, I jumped in several times just wanting it to be over. I do not recommend due to this experience - had I got the same team I had in 2017 I would have said good company, but I sure did not. Paid 925.00 and it should have been more like 500-600.00. Terrible experience with these guys. Used for daughter to try to save some stress. First of all, they were over 4 hours late on the pick up side when we had a deadline from a closing. Then they brought the wrong tuck so another hour to swap it. Very slow. Much standing around. Took many many hours to load one box truck and most was pre packed other than appliances. Charged a LOT to hold the load overnight. Showed up 4 hours early on the other end (before House was even closed). Took an extrodnary amount of time again to just unload a box truck. Tried to charge 500 dollar The s more than the quoted amount (they charge by the hour, and that appears to be even if they are not doing anything). Was able to settle within 80 dollars of the original quote. The problem did not seem to be the "guys" but the management just messing up the schedules, not communicating and just making mistake after mistake. Keep a SHARP eye on the clock and the bill if you use them. I'll use something like pods next time. Not worth the stress. read more

There were a couple issues (wrong address number on the quote made it hard for them to find my place, and sending a too-small truck led to a 2nd trip needed) but the company definitely made it right and deducted all the extra time from my bill. They canceled my move because I had open top boxes (which no one told me I couldn't have) and there was mouse poop and bugs in the basement. Very little mouse poop and bugs. What a bunch of pansies. We used Two Men and a Truck to move us from just North of the Indiana/Michigan state line to just South of the Indiana/Michigan state line. We will never use them again. My very efficient husband sent them a list as a guideline of what we wanted moved, so they had a little warning of what we had. We had 3 guys arrive at our home. One guy watched the other two move stuff. There were some things my husband specifically pointed out to them and told them to make sure and get it. It was almost like they picked and chose what they were going to move. The truck was not big enough to handle all of our furniture, even though my husband had sent them a list. We also discovered furniture that had been damaged, shelf clips that were missing and furniture that was not assembled (ie - a mirror on the dresser that was not attached, etc., etc.) We ended up moving a lot of stuff ourselves, which was not an easy task since my husband is having health issues. When we reported to the company how unsatisfied we were they were willing to give us a very low refund. DO NOT USE this company. You will be unhappy. read more

Several weeks ago I booked a piano move with this company. I told him it was a full-size upright and therefore heavy and also a player piano which means it's heavier than normal upright. I didn't have a debit card at the time that would work for the down payment. So I gave them a check. Rather than holding the check until the final billing they deposited it to their account. When the day of the move game they showed up where the piano was with exactly what they advertise Two Men and a Truck . No not a piano truck which is what you need to use to move this which is basically 2 hand carts that are on each side of the piano strap together and then you lift a piano up on the piano trucks Wheels to move it. The man who came to do the job we're bewildered that they hadn't been sent with any equipment. Both statue man that came out myself and the person who had been storing the piano for me decided they were not going to move the piano that day. That was very disappointing because I have not lived a place where I can have my piano for over 10 years. I was really looking forward to having a piano in my apartment and listen to it play by itself. I was not contacted by the company for a follow-up, or rescheduling. I being someone who moved pianos as my student job in college I knew what they needed and couldn't believe that they didn't. When they did talk about equipment they could bring they were talking about what you need for a grand piano and not an upright. I decided that I did not want to have them move the piano as they obviously didn't know what they were doing even though they had moved a grand piano for a friend of mine and did a good job. Grand pianos are easier to move. I went in to ask for my deposit back and that's what I found out that they had deposited it in their account. I was told that the office in Grand Rapids would have to write a check and that they would do it the next day and therefore I would have it by the middle of the week. Well it is now the middle of the following week and no check. When I called the young lady here in South Bend and then she checked with the person in Grand Rapids the person in Grand Rapids told her that she'd sent the check out over the previous weekend which would have been four or five days after she said she was going to send it out. As I said before they did a good job of moving my friends small grand piano and maybe they do a good job of this simple moves. But in this case I'm trying to figure out what they did right. They risked the health of their two men that they sent to move this piano by not providing them with the correct equipment. They would not have even needed to purchase the correct equipment if they didn't have it because one of the local rental companies has a set just like they need. They also risk damage to my sister-in-law and brother in law's beautiful century-old home by trying to Wrangle a piano on the small metal wheels on the piano that would have destroyed their 100 + year old floors. read more

Absolutely the worst experience of dealing with a service company. They showed up late, and after having come out before hand and seeing everything they decided it was too much for them to handle. They quoted the job and then showed up late on the day of moving and then said they were not going to do what they quoted. If I had seen the reviews before hiring them we would have avoided them all together. I am not sure why they are in the moving business. They seem to know very little about getting a job done as quoted. I would strongly suggest to anyone that they look elsewhere if you are considering hiring these people. I had a terrible experience with Two Men and A Truck. My movers, Mr. Baldwin & Rohl took less than 3 hours to complete my local move (1.7 miles) and even joked that we have to pay only $3 extra ($277.70 - $275) after the deposit of $275. We even confirmed with him and he said it was okay. But later on I found out , they deducted an extra of $277.70 dollars. I had few boxes, around 16 and a bed, TV, table to move. For mattress evaluation they charged 75 dollars extra which they hadn't told and I would have taken the mattress myself if I had known that charge. I practically feel ripped off as it shouldn't have been 552.70 dollars for moving these (the initial estimate was 366.70 dollars). Most of the charges weren't explained before making them. I don't know whether they stopped their truck midway, had lunch and made it 3 hrs , but be very careful about these movers, Baldwin and Rohl. They don't communicate clearly where the charges are at least when they make you sign. read more

Do not use this moving company! I had 1 piece of furniture moved by them and they broke it. When it was determined that it could not be fixed they refused to fairly compensate me for it. The owner said his hands were tied and could not offer me anything close to replace it. It took over 3 months of "oh we mailed you your check" before we got our money back for their accident . The absolute worst! Save yourself the misery, got get a U-Haul and pick up some day laborers outside home depot. The experience would be about the same. Three 21 year old "experienced" (said he'd been working there a while, almost a month...) showed up. They obviously had zero training, they didn't know how to effectively move or pack things. They took 3x longer then they should have, dropped treadmill in sand, didn't tie down a large toolbox, so it flipped in transit, and damaged multiple pieces of furniture. On top of that, they didn't have equipment to effectively do the job, had one dolly, had to use two of mine throughout the day. Their truck fell apart I had to help them fasten the sidewalls back together. And they were supposed to move a piano and a pool table out of basement, they were going to try and lift 1500 lbs up stairs, with three 140lb guys. So we had to call a separate company to get that stuff. They just kept blaming their boss, and some guy that called off... Horrible experience, I ended up being the 4th guy and worked circles around this kids all day. When we complained to ownership, we have called many times, only once was our call returned, where he'd look into it and call us back. Now he's ignoring us. Jeremy confirmed I would have at least 2 men to unload a moving truck at or after 1:00 on Friday, October 5, 2018. I signed the contract and gave him a $250.00 deposit. At 4:00, I received a phone call saying they were running late and may be there at 7:00 (pm). I said that was too late and in order to fulfill the 3 hour minimum they would have to be there until 10:00. I said that was not going to work. Another crew showed up around 5:00 and I said the truck was already unloaded and they were too late. I asked if they would be available the following day as I had another load that I needed help with. They said they would call the office and someone would call me and let me know. Then one of the crew asked if he could use my bathroom. I said no, there is a gas station at the corner. How rude! I never received a phone call on Saturday as to whether or not someone would be coming to unload my truck. Now to the deposit. Absolutely no work was done by this company. I received $105.00 back from my deposit. I called Jeremy to see where the other $145.00 was. He said I had to call the general manager. My husband and I contracted Two Men and a Truck in September for a move across town. They were easy to work with and responsive to our questions and worked with our timeline. Their movers showed up on time on the day of our move; unfortunately it went downhill from there. As they were moving a mattress they identified what they believed to be a bedbug casting. They halted the move until we could have a pest control specialist confirm and fumigate. We were told that they would resume the move as soon as that was completed. Within a couple of hours we had a specialist out who identified the casting within seconds as a carpet beetle, showing us pictures of how different it's appearance was to a bedbug. We called the moving company back to resume the move as planned only to be told they would not be back that day nor could they resume our move for 5 days. We had to be out of our house that day so the new buyers could move in. To say we had to scramble to come up with a solution is an understatement. Since our move, I have called the company 3 times to discuss having our deposit refunded since the misidentification and the ensuing mess was due to an error on their part. I have not received a phone call back from the billing department or the general manager. I will never use this company again and would not recommend them to anyone. NEVER hire this company! My husband and I hired this company because they were the only ones who guaranteed they would transport our beautiful furniture from MI to CA without putting it on a large moving van with other people's furniture. We trusted them. BIG mistake! I oversaw the packing because we had some very expensive furniture and antiques. I watched as they used the heavy, good quality furniture pads. I had packed all of our china, crystal, and personal belongings myself. The things I packed arrived in excellent condition. We are senior citizens retiring to CA, so we downsized by half, and took only our best, most beloved things. When the truck arrived in CA, my husband and son came running into the condo, warning me not to come outside. Eighty-five percent of the furniture Two Men and a Truck had packed was destroyed. As things were brought into the condo, I noticed that the pads were all different than the original ones. These were flimsy pieces of felt. It seems Two Men and a Truck decided to unpack everything back at their warehouse and repack it in the cheap and ineffective pads. They were afraid they wouldn't get their "good" pads back! Believe me, I would have gladly shipped them back to them, or even paid extra for them. We paid over $12,000.00 for the move. We paid extra for $100,000.00 insurance coverage, which was supposed to cover replacement costs. I had one console table worth $15,000.00 alone!! In the end, after fighting Two Men and a Truck and their insurance carrier, we recovered only $11,000.00. That didn't even begin to pay for our furniture replacement/repairs, not to mention what we paid for the moving services and insurance coverage. The three movers they sent us (to move a two bedroom apartment) were incredibly slow. It took them two hours to move one bedroom set that did not include a bed, just the dressers and nightstands. Prior to their arrival I had moved the majority of our boxes to our house myself, leaving them only 30 boxes to move. After six hours of loading the two bedroom apartment into a full size truck they were finally heading to the house. Multiple pieces of furniture were destroyed, and they smoked inside of the moving truck while it was filled with our belongings. One of the movers made an incredibly offensive comment which included the words n*zis and l*sbians infront of my 1.5 year old daughter who is now running around repeating those words. (Unbenounced to him my husband is German and my mother has a wife.) After the move was finally completed they asked us for a tip for each individual and also called me asking me to rate them as excellent despite all of our issues. I will never ever recommend this company, they managed to ruin my families experience of moving into our first house. read more
